The pie charts shows the data of China which shows how people are spending on necessary household goods in the year 1995 and 2011.

Overall, it seems that food is the basic need of the people which is highest among all the essentials while clothing appears to be the second most expenditure, following the household goods whose spending shows steady number but the expenditure on medicines seems to be least.

The expenditure on food display highest in the year 1995 at 69% which later fall to 59% in 2011. Further, spending on clothings remain almost same for both year 1995 and 2011 at 19% and 18% respectively whereas expenditures on household goods shows less demand in 1995 at 9% with gradual increase at 11% in the year 2011. However, medicines seems to be the least consumable goods among people with only expenditure of 4% in 1995 but its spending rises in the year 2011 at 11% of people using it.
