Financial literacy should be included as an important life skill subject in high school curriculum. This essay agrees with the argument as learning money management at an early age lays the foundation of a thriving future.

When children are young all their needs are met by their parents hence, they never have to worry about the financials of it. They don’t get an insight into money planning which is an important skill they need to learn before facing the real world. Therefore, financial planning should be taught early so that by the time the young people are earning their own money they are aware of the importance of managing it too. Recently, in a study it was observed that kids who were taught money management spend their pocket money more judicially as compared to their counterparts who were not. They bought the things they really needed and were even able to save a bit at the end of month too.

Once the youngsters start their careers, funds management skills are detrimental in having a planning successful future. If young people lack important financial expertise, they will never know how to save for a rainy day. They will overspend on things they don’t need and might land in financial troubles if any unforeseen situation arises. Managing one’s finances is also important for staying financially independent and not being left high and dry in difficult times.

Teaching kids the importance of money early will help them in making correct decisions with money later in their lives too. Not only will they understand the damages of being a spendthrift but will learn to become self reliant quiet early on. Furthermore, this skill will help them in their own stability and later will contribute greatly in country’s economic growth too.

In conclusion, financial literacy as a subject should be made mandatory in every school curriculum. This will help save young people from any financial disruption and pave a path for a successful future.

    Hello Ayesha,

How are you? Hope you are doing well. I want to share a pleasant surprise with you. I have won a vacation to Hawaii with one extra ticket and would love if you could accompany me.

Last week, I went to a leading electronics store to get myself a new laptop. It was Diwali week and there was a drawing of lots for the customers who were making purchases. To my amazement, I won the first prize which was a holiday in Hawaii with a complementary ticket. I am over the moon and really looking forward to go on this exciting vacation with none other than you.

The trip is scheduled to start on 26 October, 2022, which is later next month. The flight will begin from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi at 9:30 P.M and has a 3 hours layover at Dubai International Airport. It’s a 10-day tour and apart from a visit to all major islands, a special trip to underwater zoo is also on the itinerary.

Since Hawaii is famous for snorkeling, I recommend you to pack few pairs of swimming costumes along with swim caps and a good sunscreen. Besides beach visits, a two-day camping at a popular hill range is also scheduled. Therefore, do pack some trekking gear and a good mosquito repellent as well.

As it has been quite a while since we last met, I am really looking forward to spend this much needed break with you. It will get us a chance to relive old memories and create some new ones.

I am sure you must be as excited as I am. Waiting for an affirmative reply.

    Lots of love,

    Nida

Due the advent of modern architecture, not only have all the cities started looking identical, leaving almost no room for uniqueness but this has also pushed the local cultural and traditional art of construction to the brink of extinction. Unfortunately, the new housing system have played a key part in diminishing the heritage architectural designs of many civilizations.

There are various factors that have led to the flourish of many modern housing projects. Firstly, there is problem of limited housing due to continuous influx of population in the urban areas. To compensate for the increase in the demand of abodes and decrease in un built land area, the architects have developed hosing projects which involves building of apartments in high-rises, where every house is identical to the other. This has robbed the very soul of a house, which is built to express the unique cultural background of every individual. Secondly, since almost the construction material is pre-fabricated, modern houses all bears the same look. Though it is cost effective and can be afforded by many families, it can’t compensate the charm of locally handcrafted material. Thirdly, in this age of globalization people live and work in various cities in their lifetime. Governments and private builders strive to give them a sense of similarity in work and housing structures. The people feel at home from wherever they live and work, however they are deprived of an opportunity to experience the architectural character of the region they are living.

The traditional method of living not only gives the city and its dweller their unique identity but also plays a major role in keeping alive the dying art of handicraft. The old methods of house building are also sustainable because they are conceived around the local weather and climate of the place and hence takes away the dependency on air conditioners, heaters, electrical chimneys etc.

It is unfortunate that one has to let go of cultural heritage architecture for cotemporary house designs. The newer generation will experience it only in the form of heritage buildings, monuments and their old family homes. Its rather sad that the cities are losing their old charm and traditional architecture has become a tale to be told to coming generations.
