As the number of cars increases, more money has to be spent on road systems. Some people think the government should pay for this. Others, however, think that drivers should cover the costs.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Roadways have become a prominent and most convenient mode of transportation. Every residence now has at least one vehicle, which is increasing the number of automobiles. Many individuals argue that the government should be in charge of road development, whereas others believe that drivers should be responsible for the costs. In my perspective, the government should share the cost of road construction with the people through toll taxes.

On the one hand, I believe that highway construction and development should be the duty of the government. As a powerful body, the government has the capacity to update and make significant changes in the formation of national roads. To explain it further, the authority should increase its budget and allocate greater funding to infrastructure and urbanization, which would strengthen the country’s economy in a variety of ways.

Meanwhile, I also think that road users should be held responsible for road maintenance because they are the primary users and, in some ways, cause the damage. Most importantly, breaking the rules of government-mandated norms and regulations may eventually lead to the degradation of road conditions. Despite rigorous restrictions governing which lanes specific vehicles may use, many people drive personal automobiles on public transportation routes, causing damage to the road. As a result, individuals should be penalized for each pothole they cause on the road. I believe that the government should set up toll booths to collect taxes from passengers to preserve the quality of the roads.

Taking everything into account, in my opinion, road construction and maintenance should be shared by the government and the users. The most effective solution would be to place toll booths on roads to collect money from vehicles, and the government’s budget for road development should be increased.

The usage of car is expanding daily and it requires road structure to be properly maintained. Some people say government should handle road systems by themselves while some might argue that cost of maintenance should be bear by drivers. In my opinion, government alone must tackle with this problem by their own keeping in mind the welfare of society.

In any country, government is a body which is working independently selflessly for people of their country to solve the problems which has impact on mass level. Considering the problem with road systems, as number of cars which are moving on road gets doubled in last 10 years, now the pressure is on road, and we need to keep maintaining road more often which requires more cost and amount of maintain these is enormous.

On the other hand, drivers who are the end user in this case can maintain and follow the rules and regulations which are set up by local authorities to protect the road. There are some taxes which people are paying in the form of road maintenance, toll tax, etc. to keep the smooth flow of road for their vehicle. For instance, there is a guideline by government in India that people must not use the car which is 10 years older and people are following it.

In conclusion, Government must take responsibility for maintaining the roads as the amount is huge. Also, I think government and drivers must work together to solve this problem because working alone will not solve this gigantic problem.

As we know that Road is used for transportation. And transportation is major part of our lives. In our daily life , things or people is transferred from one place to another place through any type of vehicle. So we are the one who is using roads most of the time .

We are the one who’s increasing the vehicle or cars for our comfort.

We should pay the tax for our comfort. If our road system will be better then our life will easier. Because of roads, things and people are transferred on time.If it won’t be managed properly then our life will be miserable like hell.

These are some basic things which we have to understand.

On the other hand , we pay the tax to the government on every level.

For example ,when we are buying a car ,we pay tax to the RTO department. when we are going somewhere through highway ,we pay the toll tax to the government.

And at the end when go for driving licence to the RTO office. We pay the tax for this also.

I’d go as far as I can ,we pay income tax also. Now it’s the government who has to serve us better. Because as a good citizen we are playing our role honestly. Government should work for the wellbeing of the citizens. And better road is the major part of our life . With time the number Of cars will be increased.

Cars have always been the promising source of transportation since ages and nowadays almost every family has at least one vehicle parked in the garage. The growing number of vehicles on roads requires smooth functioning highways and streets and to set this up money is required. Many people argue that the lawmakers should pay for this whereas the other group believe that car owners must bear the expenses. In my opinion, the administrators are already collecting tax through various techniques and it is the public who is paying for it.

Firstly, today each state of our country is interconnected via expressways which requires maintenance and seeing the rising count of cars on road it will demand timely up-gradation. However, the government is a strong body and can pay for it but it might have negative repercussions. For instance, if they start paying for the roadways without taking taxes in any form from the citizens then a huge portion of money will be spent here and other services offered by the authority may get suppressed due to the financial problem.

Secondly, I also think that the public should not rely on the authorities to completely fund the road system, they should happily pay taxes which will be further used for their interest. One more reason of the deteriorating condition of motorway is the negligence caused by the motor owners during driving. For example, driving commercial vehicles on private vehicles slot will surely cause damage to the path and to repair it capital will be required. Furthermore, heavy penalties should be taken from them for such act.

In conclusion, Cost for the development and maintenance of streets is mainly charged from its end user which should not be a problem since the officials might not afford paying such huge amount for preserving its quality.
