These days many people are attending speaking classes, whereas other are giving preference to grammar. Grammar plays vital role in personal and professional life. When a person use grammar in writing and speaking it usually make it lucid and provide the basic foundation also give confidence. Proper use of grammar and cohesive device make the structure with meaning of the sentence.

It is always debatable, that during schooling, grammar should be in curriculum or not. As people think if anyone knows vocabulary and able to pronounce those words, not necessary to understand grammar rules. These days many people are attending speaking classes, whereas others are giving preference to grammar. Grammar plays vital role in personal and professional life. When a person use grammar in writing and speaking it usually make it lucid and provide the basic foundation which also give confidence. Proper use of grammar and cohesive devices make the structure with proper meaning of the sentence.
Grammar has wide range like noun, pronoun, adjective, tenses, active, passive and many others, when we use these grammar rules in our writing and speaking it shows variety. In addition, with better expression of words and thought process using simple, short even complex sentences, nevertheless, some people are not attempting these in daily routine.
When it comes to speaking, people not pay much attention on grammar, but in writing it gives sudden impact on reader’s mind. People who did not learn grammar in school are not much confident in writing but they are good speaker. It does not mean being a good speaker, you do not need grammar. Since, they are following many grammar corrector applications in writing letters over email and documents as well. Many are learning grammar rules in spite, they do not have enough time.

Grammar has its importance when making a sentence, without grammar we cannot complete sentences or we may mix up tense. Conversation skills have its own importance when we speak with another person. they can judge you based on your conversation skill.
I think grammar and conversation skills both have equal importance to make an eloquent personality. if you’re lacking in grammar it will lower down your conversation skills.
So, I can conclude Conversation skills are important with proper grammar usage.

According to me these two should go hand in hand and are the two faces of same coin. While studying grammar gives you immense confidence and understanding of the language, conversation skills are equally incumbent. For one to be on the ball with speaking fluently, practise is a must. In studying grammar, brain gets time to grasp the knowledge acquired but in speaking one feels to be in a tight corner if you lack enough practise.
I will conclude with an advice for the newbies that developing muscular memory for a language will save you on the fly and having in depth grammar language will boost your confidence.

Language is a mode of communication and means of conveying our thoughts and feelings to others. There are numerous languages in this world. Although they all carry different attributes, nonetheless, they all have a common characteristic which is called grammar. Grammar is a set of rules for using words in the appropriate manner so that any language can be understood properly without any ambiguity. On the other hand, conversation skills are abilities that we need to communicate effectively with others.
For a better understanding of the importance of these two things, I would like to give a couple of examples. Imagine if someone, without explaining the concepts of building constructions, gives us some bricks, cement, concrete, and other building materials, which are required to build a structure, and asks us to do a continuous practice of constructing a building, can we construct the building? Similarly, if a professor of a medical college, after teaching theoretical aspects of surgery but without any prior practice and without providing any practical exposure to surgical procedures, asks his students to do the surgery, can they do the surgery?
If in the foregoing paragraph, in the very first example, we assume the concepts of building constructions as grammar, building construction materials as vocabulary as well as other parts of speech, and practice of constructing a building as a practice of conversation, can we imagine the proper practice of conversation without grammar? Likewise, in the second example, if we assume theoretical aspects of surgery as grammar, prior practice and practical exposure of surgical procedures as a practice of conversation, and surgery as communication with others, can we have had effective communication in the absence of either of these two?
From the above discussion, we can conclude that grammar and practice of conversation skills both complement each other and are two sides of the same coin. Therefore, from my standpoint, both are equally important and for effective communication, we can not ignore either of these.

Hello Ma’am,
Conversation skills are something that forms a connection between two people or more. It is the conveying of ideas and understanding the other person’s point of view.
Grammar is important but it only improves your hold on the language. Good Grammar is not Good Conversation Skills.
Hence, I think that conversation skills are always more important.
Ex:
When an illiterate man speaks in Hindi to a tax officer, his grammar might not be perfect but he would be able to communicate his issue to him.
OR
If a politician (who studied in vernacular medium) gives a speech in English, his grammar may not be as good but still, if his speech is impactful, people would vote for him.
