In my opinion, GM foods can solve the problems of food shortage as they can grow in any weather conditions and they also have rich nutritional values.
To begin with, there are many advantages to growing these genetically modified crops. They are extra resistant to weather. In other words, they do not need any specific weather conditions or places. So, farmers can harvest them anywhere. For example, apples can also be found in the northern part of the country. Additionally, farmers might benefit from these GM foods because they require less money and land. So using less land they can grow a large amount of crops.
Furthermore, these foods are rich in more nutrients such as vitamins and minerals because they are modified by scientists. It can reduce the usage of pesticides as they are not attacked by pets. So do not need pesticides to kill them. As a result, they can be used for more days. For instance, people buy these foods for a whole week at a time and store them in their home without much effort.
To conclude, I agree, they are useful to feed the growing population. GM foods are good not only for a healthy lifestyle but also for increasing yields in the country. For the increasing population, increasing crops play a vital role to combat food scarcity.
