<div>I am favour of this topic, I strongly believe that smoking should be banned in public places. First thing is first, it is not good for health of person who is consuming it as well for the people who are around the smokers. Smoking damage the lungs and also leads to other health issues such as blood pressure, heart ailment etc. </div>

I am in favour of this motion, yes it should be definitely banned at public places because it affects smokers let alone non smokers too. Smokers feel it is the status symbol for them and it reduces the stress for them but in real it leads them to severe disease. Their lungs get affected badly and face the breathing issues. Therefore considering all these points smoking should be banned at all public places.

First of all, we have to agree on the term “public places”. If we are talking about open areas like squares, parks, roads etc. (and not about buildings as museum, library, schools…), I would consider that preventing people from smoking is a violation of human rights. Indeed, even if I don’t smoke and consider that people shouldn’t smoke to preserve their health, I think that if some want to do it, they should be free to. As far as we now, in open spaces (out), there is no risk that cigarette smoke could affect others. I’m sure that it’s a lot worse to breathe in in our polluted cities! However, there is a serious risk to become a passive smoker for those who stay near a smoker, but in that case, it remains a personal choice. Shall we prevent also people to stay with their smoker relatives? Obviously, if we are talking about public buildings, it’s another topic and I think on the contrary that smoking not only “should” but rather “have to” be banned in these places, because people who are there are not anymore free to be or not passive smoker.

I am in favor of this motion, smoking should be banned in public places. smoking is not good for health, it can cause very dangerous health issues like cancer, health problem & lung issues etc.
it’s doesn’t only affect yourself but also affects near by people, they also suffer this kind of health problem, if people smoke in public places younger generations easily get influenced from this bad habit. when smoking is not allowed in public places it reminds people that health care is very important. It will promote healthy life style for everyone.
-
First of all I completely agree with this. Smoking is not good for health both for smokers and for surrounding. So smoking in public places is not a right thing. Public is a place where all kind of people will be there. So it will affect them. For kids it may create a bad example, for old age people they will face some difficulties depends on them. I don’t like to say smoking is good or bad. It’s person’s personal, but in public government must be banned completely .
-
first and foremost, I would like to tell you that smoking is injurious to health. it causes cancer. It is detrimental to active smoker as well as passive smoker who comes around the active smoker. smoking bans in public places is reduce the exposure of toxic fumes to non smoker. So in my opinion smoking must be banned in public places completely.

Hlw Priyanka Mam. I am Pooja and the topic is smoking should be banned in all public places. In my opinion yes it should be banned because it is so dangerous for health it could harm somebody’s health. If someone starts smoking then gradually he get addicted to it and then he can suffer many problems like lungs problem cancer etc. If someone smoke in public place then it is harmful for everyone because people’s lungs are getting damaged by the smoke, children see a oking person in tv or outside and then starts smoking. Smoking can be dangerous for everyone, so it will be better if it can completely be banned in all public places.

Good afternoon to everyone. I am Ayushi Vashisth. I am in favor of this motion, smoking should be banned in public places. Smoking is not good for health.
<div>There is no dearth of scientific studies that prove the myriad harmful and life-threatening effects of smoking. Smoking affects lungs, causes many respiratory diseases, causes lung cancer, heart disease, and chewing tobacco can also cause mouth cancer. The list of maladies caused by this vicious habit is endless and alarming. Not only does smoking harm the smoker, but it also endangers non-smokers. Research studies show that non-smokers are severely and more adversely affected by the side smoke or the smoke exhaled by smokers. As the lungs of non-smokers are not accustomed to the toxic fumes, it is more dangerous to them than to the smokers whose lungs become adjusted to the level of toxins over the years. The phenomenon of inhaling smoke produced by others is called passive smoking. Passive smoking is a leading cause of respiratory diseases, headache, asthma, cough, irritation in eyes, and many more. It is hazardous to the health of innocent people who don’t even smoke. That’s why smoking should be banned in public places.</div> -

are cigarettes bad for you?
yes
would it be better if people stopped smocking?
yes
is there way to do that?
possibly
is it by banning cigarettes?
no
why not?
bcz bans never work. they just lead to the opening up of black markets. people will always find a way to get what they want. legally has nothing to do with it. if bans worked. then the ban on most illegal drugs would mean that nobody used them. but they are drugs users, addicts, dealers. the greatest example of ban failing is the prohibition era in the US . the ban of alcohol led to widespread liquor bootlegging and an array of speak easiest . Failing is The Prohibition era in the US.

Deleted UserFebruary 18, 2022 at 5:40 PMSpeaking in the favour of motion, smoking should be banned in all public places. We know that Smoking is one of the leading killers on earth and it should not affect those innocent people who are compel to inhale the smoke which causes risk to their health. People know that Smoking has some serious effects still they choose to smoke. It is their personal choice we can not take away the freedom of making their personal choices but what can we do is to ensure that no person is affected by the smoking in public places. We know that Smoking is very addictive it’s hard to get rid of these habits but banning it by the means of law will surely help the cause. By putting ban on smoking in public places will surely help in mitigating all the hazardous effects on those people who are concious about their health and understand the value of their life.
<div>It will create an environment where childrenwomen will feel safer in terms of their health also it will also affect the new generation in a positive way. It is a known fact that Smoking causes many hazardous disease that are incurable by banning it in the public places we will be able to protect a large number of people who are far away from smoking. As I said earlier it also affects the youth of this generation who get addicted by seeing people smoking in public places believing that it’s a cool thing to do but if we make a law that puts ban on smoking then it will lead the youth to a better world. Putting advisory or request won’t help the cause we have seen lots of example of that. It supposedto be mandatory to not smoke in public places, so law is the only way to achieve that in that way we will be able to create a healthy environment</div> -
I strongly agree with this because many peoples show interest to smoke it effect on public health as well as environment. Public smoking can affect on young people to addiction it. Children and younger perceive smoking is enjoyment.they may practice and addict it. Smoking creat very discomfort in nonsmokers if any one smoke in public.because generate from cigarettes while smoke sometimes it cause headaches, irratation and discomfort to the who stand next of the smokers. When peoples smoke the dangerous fumes form the cigarette will go to tract the respiratory and causes cancer.
To conclude, ban on smoking in public place will solve a lot of problems especially in public health as well as environmental issues.

Yes, it should be banned in all public places. Smoking is not only injurious for smokers but it is also injurious for those who just present there at that moment(known as passive smokers) while smokers smoke. Smoking affects lungs function and in the worst condition, it leads to lungs cancer. For the first time smokers, it provides pleasure to their minds by secreting dopamine( neurotransmitter responsible for pleasure)• Therefore, generally, people get addictied to smoking. People who are either poor or low earner face financial instability in their life.
Passive smokers are badly affected by other’s smoking. This brings many health issues like cancer, asthma, coughing etc. These health issues make them financially vulnerable and bring them into the trap of poverty. Definitely smoking is a personal choice for an individual. And smokers who smoke in public places can justify their act by giving an argument like it is their fundamental right to freedom of choice. Despite constitution gives them rights, it also places some reasonable restrictions on these rights. We should consider bad aspects of smoking in public places. Therefore we should raise our voice for ban of smoking in public places.
-
Absolutely yes!
Smoking should be banned in all public places because its harms to everyone. The people who see others smoking will also start doing it. It has a great impact on health. Due to smoking, people are suffering from lungs disease, Cancer, Heart disease e.t.c. When children see someone smoking, there is a chance that they might copy him and start smoking. So, smoking should be banned in public places because then fewer people will copy and adopt this habit. Smoking is also affected to the environment. smoking also cause air pollution.

Deleted UserFebruary 21, 2022 at 8:53 AMGood morning, Priyanka ma’am
I am Akram the topic is smoking should be banned in all public places.
So we all know everything what is bad impact of smoking so I’m not talk on this. Smoke is like habit for many people. We know about how to stop them but no one cares of that because no one is never smoked in whole life. I am not favour to smoke but in limits like your personal room, personal area, so we can stop away to little childrens and also old age people. At my point of view in public places we can see so many posters, addvertisements and also banned 🚫 symbols but public was ignored them. After you read this topic in India I think every second 50 ciggerate smoke by people more than it’s.
I suggest if you watch any person to smoking in public places so you tell them he don’t smoke there. I know if government banned ciggerate instantly the company’s of manufacture ciggerate was gone to lose so that is not right for anyone because his business was grow up in so long time and money and important time.
So at my point of view all public places was banned to smoking but every one ignore them.

Deleted UserFebruary 22, 2022 at 2:29 PMHi mam this is sanjana In my opinion smoking should be banned in public places. because smoking not only affects the person who smoke but also the people who inhale the smog and in public there are people who have some breathing problem , children and also pregnant women’s it affects there health even they are not smoking. so it should be banned in places like cinema hall, park, mall ect….. If they want to smoke their are smoking places in public places like I have mentioned above so they can smoke their so that will not couse any problem for non smokers.
-
I am in favour of this topic because In 2003, India passed the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), which prohibits tobacco advertisements through most forms of mass media.
Researchers and scientists said that” Even breathing in low doses of cigarette smoke can increase one’s risk of heart attack”.
When children or adolescents see someone smoking, there is a chance that they might copy him/her and start smoking. So, smoking should be banned in public places because then fewer people will copy and adopt this habit. The second advantage of banning smoking will be the protection of the environment.
I strongly believe that smoking must be banned at public places.

Yes, I agree with this smoking should be banned in all places. Smoking is injurious to health. It can cause very dangerous disease cancer. Every smokers have family. If they are affected with this disease, with them their family also suffer. And, if one person is smoking in one place, that Smoke not affect that person only it may affect the people around them. It is harmful. So, smoking should be banned in all public places.
