As the world is changing rapidly, all the countries are going to face different challenges like poverty, pollution, lack of education, as well as environmental issues. By next decade, my country India too will fight for major issues that are population explosion, illiteracy and environmental problems. I will brief these issues and their possible solutions in this essay.
India is a home to more than 1.39 billion people and it will cross the China’s total population in the next ten years becoming most populated country in the world. It is country with limited resources so large percentage will suffer from poverty and illiteracy. Lack of education will be the key reason for unemployment. The increasing population will lead to more construction of houses instead of crops on the cultivated lands resulting into different types of pollution. Everything is inter connected and this will break into devastating environmental issues like deforestation, depletion of natural resources etc.
To overcome these problems, one possible solution is to implement one-child policy which will have a significant control over population. Government should make arrangements to encourage children by providing basic education free of cost and by providing free meals. Increase in literacy rate will help the country economically. People in India should be strictly fined against using paper, wastage of water and electricity. More practices like replacing the disposal items with reusable items, recycling waste should be encouraged by politicians in their respective areas instead of other political activities like rallies.
The strict actions taken by the government will surely help India overcome these issues slowly and gradually. Everyone in the country including its citizens and local authorities should participate and contribute to eliminate the problem of population, illiteracy and environment.
