In my opinion, children should be encouraged to become more competitive, so that it could help them navigate life better. Many aspects of life might cause a child to be burdened with pressure. However, such problems could be avoided with good parenting. Children must learn to comprehend that indolence should be overcome with competitiveness. For example, on the Ellen show, a young boy recalled that competitiveness helped him to conquer life. Thus, such a positive attitude could be portrayed through competitions.
However, there are also certain problems associated with competitiveness. Competitiveness and consciousness go hand in hand to explain that one becomes more competitive, one also becomes more aware of their surroundings and environment. Hence, psychologists have also witnessed several cases that recollected how hostile some children behave when they are faced with failure. For instance, Michigan College had conducted an experiment that concluded that sometimes children could be belligerent due to failure and unhealthy competitions are to blame. Such incidents throw light on the importance of healthy competitions.
To conclude, the need for instilling a healthy sense of competition is decipherable. Competitiveness is like a double-sided coin with which one must be quite careful. Hence, competitiveness should be embedded in children but not at the cost of moral values and virtues.

The people in the modern world are fuelled by competition. There ar conflicting views among people when it comes to instilling this feeling of competitiveness in children. Some believe it should be promoted among the young while others are of the opinion that learning to work together is the way to go. This essay is going to discuss both the aspects and emphasize the reason why i believe children should be taught to become co operative and not competitive. There are a few reasons why people might justify the need for competitiveness among the young. Firstly, this becomes pretty useful in judging the merit of students. Competitive exams have a quality of being a fair judge to help sort the students in different instruments of education. For example, the national entrance exam for medical colleges in a country like India where the number of students wanting an admission in colleges, which have limited number of places available, has become a good method to determine the capabilities of students. Another factor is that competitiveness makes children work hard and not get complacent. The “green eyed monster” or healthy jealousy which stems from competitiveness could work out to benefit a person. For instance, this psychology boost is seen very clearly among athletes who keep pushing to get better than their peers. So, as competitiveness becomes a medium to prove merit and it also pushes a person to work hard, it is thought of as being favourable.
Though there are benefits to having a child become more competitive, it has a lot of drawbacks as well. In my opinion, being co operative is a far greater virtue which helps a child develop empathy. The child, now having known the skill to work with others grows up to be an empathetic and responsible adult. For example, a study at Harvard had shown that children when taught co operation have better mental health as adults. Another very important factor, i believe is when children are raised in a non competitive and non toxic environment, they tend to have better social and communication skills which are important attributes to have in corporative sectors. For instance, when the managers of multinational companies were interviewed, it was found that they were not taught to be competitive as children. Therefore, as empathy and good communication skills are really sought after these days, co operation comes out as a superior skill to have.
To conclude, though competitive spirit is essential in certain aspects of our lives, to have it instilled among the young is controversial. In my opinion, i firmly believe we need people who are able to work with others and are empathetic rather than the ones who constantly compare themselves to others.

Feedback: The length of the answer is just acceptable. There is a good attempt to describe the overall trends but the content would have been
greatly improved if the candidate had included some reference to the figures given on the graph. Without these, the reader is lacking some important information. The answer is quite difficult to follow and there are some punctuation errors that cause confusion. The structures are fairly simple and efforts to produce more complex sentences are not successful.

Deleted UserMay 27, 2021 at 9:59 PMIn this competitive world, everyone has to be on there toes to move forward and have an exceptional life. Children are exposed to competition from a very young age be it academically or socially.
In my opinion contesting should be encouraged, healthy competition is good in instilling positive attitude in children. It prepares the kids for the problems they will be facing in adulthood, also developing skills which will benefit them throughout their lives. With proper guidance from their parents, teachers and other coaches, they can instill a good sportsmanship which entails positive attitude towards everyone no matter the outcome of the competition besides this, they also learn from their mistakes and can become more capable adults.
Other people believe that competitiveness in kids can become destructive. They believe that contesting against each other may create a lot of pressure on the child and may lead to a low self confidence which may have sequalae of avoiding these tasks, which in turn affects the overall growth of the child also there are some parents who are very overprotective of their kids and don’t want them to receive any grievances so they don’t encourage them much for participation in these kind of events. The question arises, is it alright to avoid competing just for the sake of avoiding discomfort?
On the other hand cooperativeness could be another approach, where children can work in groups to learn new things and experiment together. it is believed by some people that this puts little or no pressure on kids and help them form a good friendship with their partners and colleagues.
In conclusion, healthy competition and being cooperative both are very essential for an overall growth of child. Although, I believe that a healthy competition helps children become a more independent and a prominent part of the society.

<b style=”font-style: italic;”>Feedback: Made a good attempt to describe the graphs looking at global trends and more detailed figures. There is, however, some information missing and the information is inaccurate in minor areas. The grammatical accuracy is quite good and the language used to describe the trends is well-handled. However, there are problems with expression and the appropriate choice of words and whilst there is good structural control, the complexity and variation in the sentences are limited.

Deleted UserMay 28, 2021 at 12:18 PMThe debate over instilling cooperating spirit or competitive spirit is quite complicated due to the various points each party holds. In my opinion, the amalgamation of both these skills is imperative for all round development of the child.
I would like to begin with that children should be encouraged to become competitive. This is due to the reason if children are taught to compete with each other , children can turn out to be victorious in any battle of their life , which in turn prepares them to become future leaders. Healthy competition can be inculcated in child when the school organises debate competition, single sports competition, where children can learn competitive spirit. However, promoting healthy competition plays paramount role in children’s growth, it will help the children to navigate life better. For example, when children have competitive spirit amongst themselves, their is nothing in their life that is off-limits.
On the other hand, cooperative skills help the children to comprehend things in a lucid way and children can develop sportsmanship . This can be explained as when children play in groups , children learn team-efforts as well as learn certain things such as better communication skills, which is required in almost every field today. Especially, children can learn moral values and virtues while playing together. For instance, not only cooperative skills are required in sports such as cricket, football but are also required in organisations where each task is dependent upon other.
To encapsulate, in this modern era children need confluence of both cooperative as well as competitive spirit , which will eventually help them to excel in their life, with proper guidance of parents and teachers this goal can be achieved.

GuestMay 28, 2021 at 2:04 PMChildren are the tender buds of the society & they are required to be taught true values of life & being competitive is one of them. Some people believe that children should be taught to become more cooperative. However, in my opinion feeling of competition must be inculcated in children.
To begin with, there are many reasons why children should be having competitional values? There is a saying that “We live in a competitive world”. Firstly, healthy competition often brings out the best performance in any event in life . For instance, if a person wants to get into the top educational institution of the country like India, that person needs to compete with millions & that feeling to become the best in the country often brings out the best performance. Secondly, competitive mindset makes the people self dependent & brings out innovative skillset for survival.
Furthermore, there are many other advantages of being competitive. Competition enhances the tendency of hardworking & becoming self-reliant. Immense competition often leads to breakthrough innovations in the field of science & engineering. For example, there is a well known story of the two scientists(Hall & Heroult) working on the project of “Production of aluminium using electrolysis & it was eventually found that the both of them were able to complete the project before stipulated timeline & this project was the “Innovation of the 19th century” as a result of healthy competitive spirit between the two scientists. Moreover, competition is the need of the hour.
In conclusion, competition increases the probability of success in life. Therefore, children should be encouraged to compete with each other at an early stage of life, as it will help them to become stronger & better human beings.

Deleted UserJune 1, 2021 at 9:57 AMCompetition among children is a very fragile topic which can be debated upon. I believe that introducing sense of competition can either make or break a child in terms of confidence.
In my opinion, to bring the best out of children, they should be encouraged to compete, different tasks should be provided to them to access their performance and to know where they stand. If a child excels at something, he will feel even more confident than before but if the same child lags in some other task or activity than he may lose the confidence and may generate fear of competition. Another aspect to look for is the silver lining between confidence and arrogance. A child is immature, he would not know the difference between the two things and winning may incline him towards the latter one.
Good parenting is the key to guide the child in all the dilemmas. Children should be encouraged to work harder if they fail or do not win, they should be taught well to take pride in defeat as well and to comeback stronger next time. Good guiding would not let for children to fear the competition or feel inferior even after losing one. As I mentioned earlier, winning can make a child arrogant because he does not know the difference between confidence and arrogance. Good parenting which could guide the child to understand the difference will make sure that he becomes mature and confident and winning should never get on his head or in his nerves.
To conclude, I believe that children should be introduced to competitions, this would not only build the confidence but help the children to excel at various tasks at various points of their lives. But, as Stan Lee said, “with great powers come great responsibilities”, with confidence a child can get cocky as well. Parents should always keep an eye to always guide the children whether they lose or win, if they lose the confidence or gain more than enough of it. Good parenting will keep things at bay and help children shine.

Deleted UserJune 1, 2021 at 10:02 AMThere are lot of debate amongst the societies worldwide whether sense of competition amid the scholar is fruitful or it should be discouraged for their betterment. In my opinion we should work on to abolish this feeling of competition between the students and focus on their individual grooming. This essay focus on the benefit of eliminating competition between the students.
To Commence with the need of eliminating competition amongst the scholar is that by eliminating this student should be able to focus on their individual goal and improving their skills instead of working on getting good score in an exam as compared to their friends. It is worldwide accepted that if the people work without any pressure on themselves than there are higher chances of learning and remarkable result. To illustrate this, I must say that in European countries there is no pressure on the students for getting good rank and teachers are constantly working on the grooming of their students.
Moving to negative consequences of competition which have seen in the past is that youngsters are struggling in getting the achievable result as compared to their friends which sometimes result in depression or mental stress on the students which is not good for their health. This negative result should be avoided at any cost and the parents should stop comparing the marks of their children with their friends and not create a stress on their children for getting highest rank.
Taking everything into consideration, I must say that the competition should be avoided totally and the educational authorities must work on to create an education structure which focus on brushing the skills and knowledge of the students. Even if there is competition then that should be healthy one’s and not create a stress amongst the students.

Deleted UserJune 1, 2021 at 10:03 AMIn today’s modern era and competitive world when everybody is in the rat race to perform well, it has become very necessary as a parent to encourage our children to be competitive. Competition is very important in life be it school exams or any individual sport. In my opinion, co-operation should be taught but it should not be at the cost of competition.
Competition at an early age provokes young ones to do more efforts which in result improves their skills and ability. If this would not be taught at the growing age, children would find it difficult when it comes to school competitions. These will help the young ones to inculcate the habit of winning and doing more hard work. They would soon realize the fact that it would not be possible to survive in the world. This will force the children to find alternative ways only to win in any competition which can be negative too. Therefore, good parenting is very necessary from the beginning.
Co-operation, on the other hand encourages children to work together as a team. This kind of environment gives a feeling of relaxation among children and as a result they may not give their best result as there is no pressure to do better than the other. The children should be taught the value of cooperation along with the competitive skills as there are many such examples wherein one has to perform in team as a whole in sports like football or hockey.
In conclusion, success would come with the competitive skills encouraged from the early age as it will help them become strong and hard worker but not leaving behind the moral values so that they excel in their life and become more independent.

Deleted UserJune 1, 2021 at 10:14 AMIn my opinion, Competition in children is sensitive matter instead of competition children must be taught to be cooperative among themselves.
Firstly, they can share their knowledge among themselves if they are cooperative with each other. Moreover, if the children mind set is coordinated with their friends, there will be no place to be narcissistic. For example, if two friends are feeling competitive to each other, if one person scored more marks than the other then the second person may feel shame in front of first person any it may leads some distance between them. But if both friends are allied to each other, second person may help to first person to score well.
On the other hand, competition is good only when it is with ourselves. While when it is with others it increases stress and pressure on children to be superior to others. For instance, if the children decides to prove that he is better student than the next student, then he will be focused on only marks and he may score that by copying or through some other way, but children cannot gain knowledge on that way. Children must know that there is a process to reach the success, and we can learn lot of things in that process and that is more important than success. However, psychologist also researched on this term and concludes that many children is suffocating due to this process called competition.
In conclusion, Feeling of Cooperative without any pressure is the best to be taught to children instead of being competitive with others. Competition just makes us to focus to reach the destination, children doesn’t think they are going in correct route or wrong route to reach the destination in competitive world.

GuestJune 1, 2021 at 10:25 AMIn this modern era, competition and being cooperative both are very crucial point for young children. whereas, some people feels that competition should be encouraged while others says they should know how to be cooperative. well in my opinion both the points are profound in their nature.
On the one side, competition among children at young age play very important role as they have healthy competition with each other which increases their skills in many aspect. As per the study of Copenhagen university in sociology of children , they have examined children for their effectiveness in their work, for this they selected two group and assigned same work to both the group but they made one difference is that to one group they just highlight that winning student will get laptop. The consequences is that the group to whom they just assigned work normally they performed unto 50% whereas other group children worked unto 80-90% , remarkable difference hence healthy competition should be there in children so as to become excel in their field.
However on the other hand, some time it can be seen that when children reaches to top level by competing their fellow member, they become quite arrogant and this affect their life in long run. In addition to that this behavior not only affects life but also working of big corporate as a results many MNC kept this as separate section of their interview just to check students arrogance.
To summarize this, I would say children should be first taught to become cooperative then they encouraged for competition henceforth this is the only key to get success-ed with good human nature.

Deleted UserJune 5, 2021 at 3:06 AMModern day societies in themselves are extended schools, where kids are expected to excel in every aspect of life. There has been an on-going debate, with some supporting instilling of competitive spirit in the kids whilst others supporting inculcation of co-operativeness. In my opinion, both of these are equally crucial and combinedly essential for all-round development of children.
On the one hand, the advocates of competitiveness claim, that infusing this spirit in kids, inspires excellence and leads to generation of new ideas. In addition they go ahead and claim this to be a catalyst for important inventions, as kids who are driven by competition grow up to create un-seen and un-heard projects . For instance, in a recent article published, in “Business Today”, magazine, the competitive spirit inculcated in the mind of the young entrepreneur Mr. Anubhav, from his very childhood, has been identified as a pivotal reason for the successful establishment and running of OYO Hotels across the world.
On the other hand, the feeling of competition is blamed by the rival opinions, as being the root-cause of anxiety and stress apart from being the culprit for the corporate rivalries that have become the order of the day. These people contend that by inculcating habit of co-operation, much can be achieved as it induces team spirit and a feeling of togetherness which in-turn adds to overall productivity. Furthermore there is an increased sharing of perspectives which enhances the skills and knowledge of all the members which benefits the society at large. For instance they often quote the story of the birds, caught in a net, who by sheer co-operation were able to fly and save themselves, which they could not have by competition.
It will therefore be apt to conclude that competition and co-operation are both virtues and not vices, each having its distinct contribution and significance, which have to be blended together in right proportions and inculcated in the growing generation, by their parents and guardians to ensure a healthy and prosperous future.

First of all, I believe that if their is competition among children, they want to work harder in school so that they can score better marks in examination than their classmates. Due to completion among children, they will highly to perform well in school as compared to others. For example,in quiz competition the children will try harder to solve or answer the questions so that they can be praised. That’s why it’s more important to have competition among children, so they can achieve better knowledge.
Secondly,it is believed that children who know how to cooperate with others will attain success. In school , if the teachers teach them about the cooperation and team work the children will learn how to respect others opinions. It helps them to develop sharing more ideas . Hence, any mistakes can be avoided among the children which can achieve their dreams or goals in both studies and work.
To conclude, I strongly believe that children should have the feeling of competition and cooperation to be successful in life .

Deleted UserJuly 25, 2021 at 7:43 PMPeople always argue between building a sense of competition in children and encouraging them to become more cooperative (helpful). This essay will evaluate pros and cons of both and come up with a decisive conclusion.
In my opinion, children must be motivated to be cooperative rather than being competitive because helping others will ensure that others will also help them whenever required whereas being competitive will isolate them and others will not come forward for support. I am sure that everyone must have realized this in school, when we used share our study notes or sports equipment with other children they also used to do the same with us other the other hand if we refused to share even then they responded in similar manner by not sharing. The relief after getting much needed help is unmatchable and it makes us extremely happy.
Additionally, Not everyone in this world is lucky enough to belong to economically rich family as many are still deprived of basic necessities like food, cloths, shelter, basic education, etc so by cooperating we can be helpful to others on the other hand by becoming competitive will be are becoming more selfish and greedy. We all must have heard about people who teach under privileged children for free, this act comes from being cooperating rather than being competitive because competitive people don’t do efforts to make others better.
In conclusion, l would say that children should be to become cooperative rather than competitive because being cooperative makes us happy, a better human being and ensures getting help is difficult times whereas being competitive isolates us and makes us selfish and greedy.

Deleted UserJuly 25, 2021 at 7:56 PMMany people believe that competitiveness must be inculcated in kids, on the contrary some reckon on teaching to become cooperative. This being a very sensitive topic, needs to be meticulously taken into consideration as both these dimensions of behavior of kids are essential to be learnt. This essay will have the importance of Competition and Cooperation, in children, explained.
To begin with, there are many situation in everybody’s life where they need to behave appropriately. Living in this world of cut-throat competition for success and accomplishments, kids ought to be encouraged for being competitive. For a good future in many industries and professions one thing which is constant is competition. In order to prepare children for the same, a sense of being better than the others needs to exist in their minds. Teaching this is very beneficial. For example, a boy takes part in a race with the primary aspiration to win. If he doesn’t feel encouraged enough to defeat the other participants he won’t win therefore will be disheartened. So encouraging kids is required at such points of time.
Coming to the point of Cooperation, without which living a successful and delightful live is difficult, also needs to be taught from the beginning. Cooperation a vital part of a good behavior leading one to many possibilities that cannot be otherwise accomplished. For instance, in a match of basketball, there a team of children playing against another team. If there is no cooperation within the members of one team how are they going to win the match. They need to accept and understand each other’s weakness and strength to integrate for victory hence this needs to be taught to some kids.
To summarize, the feeling of competition is necessary for certain situations to be successful. Nonetheless being cooperative is imperative for so many times in life taking under consideration family, teamwork, sports or anywhere that requires more people working together on one goal. Thus both these fundamental aspects needs to be taught to children.

Deleted UserJuly 25, 2021 at 7:58 PMIt is a debatable topic nowadays to inculcate competitive behavior in kids or to nourish them with cooperative manners. I completely agree that building competitive behavior at an early age is a must in this fast-paced world. This essay will discuss the same viewpoint and provide a logical conclusion to it.
as we know , kid’s brains are more susceptible to grasp new things and behavior than adults. So infusing competitiveness in their behavior becomes effortless, which creates a challenging brain that works in a more optimized manner hence they become much thoughtful when doing any task.for example, in recent studies, it was found that most of the successful people were those who had a childhood where they used to question the ongoing process and find different ways to approach a problem. The same behavior develops when a child has been put in a competitive situation where it challenges its own method to develop better solutions.
Secondly, in recent times, the population is booming at its peak where every child is a prodigy in itself. So every parent wants their kids to learn from the other excellent performing mates and be at the same pace as them however they need to be watchful that they don’t pressurize the kids with too much expectation. For example, a recent survey has shown that kids in competitive schools are faster to react to a stressful situation than those grown in cooperative childhood.
In conclusion, adding competitive behavior in a child is a plus. It reflects in their social skills to learn from others and develops mental strength to fight a challenging situation. At the same time, parents have to keep their expectations low so kids don’t feel pressured.

Deleted UserJuly 25, 2021 at 8:19 PMIn this competitive world, everyone has put their toes on work to achieve something great in life. Some believe, encouraging the competition among children will develop them overall. While other believe, leaning and working together which enhancing their capability and social skill. In my opinion, competitive is vital part of our life to attain our goal and would be beneficial if started at the initial age.
Firstly, children should educate competition as it will helps them to fight battle in life or career. Healthy Competition would develop their thoughts and motivates them to bring out best from their performance. For instance, Football player “Cristiano Ronaldo” who started his journey from small town in the Europe and achieved success just by facing competition and leaning from his mistake. Competition mindset will bring self-dependent in individuals and established an innovative mind over the period.
Furthermore, there are few disadvantages of an active competition. Young children undergo stress and anxiety at early stage because of immense education pressure, due to which they become non socialize and introvert human being. For example, selection in the prestigious colleges have overburden the children for sustainable life in future, however, this myth and parental pressure has affected children’s life and health.
In the conclusion, I would say competition is good as it helps you to face the world. Moreover, every child has different approach and objective in life. Competition should be inbuilt in children but in a creating way, so that they can love and enjoy the path.

In my opinion, winning or passing attitude in any competition always give lucid presentation, but this tendency should be in positive thought as healthy competition brings supreme performance from all participants. However, much they can. In addition with this attitude, they give finest and innovative ideas. Furthermore, there are many other merits of being competitive, it enhance their toiled up ability to stand first in everywhere. It also inculcate their confidence. They are more likely to be self achievement and fulfillment with balanced and peaceful mind. Moreover sense of the completion is need of hour, since their childhood to adult. For example- competition in entrance exams, jobs, science and innovations give top-notch output keeping in aim as good yet to come.
On the other hand, many think children should be cooperative rather than competitive, as with leading tendency and thought process, parents are nurturing them with selfness, loneliness even they are not teaching them basic edicate, which itself is hazardous to society. With this social nature they can teach them, how to be humble, polite, team-worker, tolerance even caring for their environment and surroundings as well. In today world, competition is everywhere even for new born babies, everyone seeing their children as future leader who will lead others. A person whose heart is full of jealous never can hold good for themselves, family members and others as well.
<font face=”inherit”>In conclusion, both have their own values but parents should teach their children, how to be impartial in </font>competitive and cooperative, none should be overrated.
