  • Task1 (Letter writing) : Job for friend

Posted by Falak on December 3, 2021 at 9:31 AM

A friend you made while you were studying abroad has written to ask you for help in finding a job in your country. You have heard about a job in a local company that might be suitable for him/her.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:

tell your friend about the job and what sort of work it involves

say why you think the job would be suitable for him/her

explain how to apply for the job

    Write at least 150 words.

    Dear Sam,

It’s been more than 2 years since we met, and I really miss you and the time we spent together in Germany for more than 3 years during the under-graduation college days When we spoke last time, I remember you have mentioned that you are interested in applying for jobs in India related to your stream and I think I have found one for you. I have included all the details in this letter so you could decide on whether you would be interested to apply for it.

This position is in a local company called “GA motors” which is located 5 miles from where I live and the role that was posted was titled “Business Analyst”. This role involves you creating various documentation such as business, functional and technical requirements, acting as a liaison between the business and IT, setting up meetings, preparing meeting notes and most of the work involves the usage of a computer.

When I read the job description, I felt this would suit you well based on your major at the college. Not only about the educational background but also your communication skills, abilities to understand the business needs, writing skills, and negotiation skills would definitely be an advantage and required skills for this role. Additionally, your grasp of the English language would make your job easy and well-suitable.

I have read about this local newspaper, but I was able to find the online application on their website for you and you should be able to apply for it through their online site and go to the careers and select the job id-254 for this specific role. If you find that any difficulty, you can also try to find it on the LinkedIn site if you could search through the title and company name.
I hope all these details would help you to apply for this position and feel free to ask any questions or if you need more information on it.

    Your’s lovingly,

    Renu

    Dear John

Hope this letter of mine reaches you in good health. I am glad to inform you that as inquired by you several times, there’s a vacancy in the local library of my town.

The post is for an Assistant Librarian in the St. Albert Library of Aeronautic Sciences, situated at the heart of London. The job requires you to work for seven hours a day and help the Librarian to keep record of the books newly purchased as well as the ones which have been issued to the members.

It feels to me that you are the most suitable person and would be surely selected on the basis of your qualifications. In addition to it, the experience of your internship in Turkey’s library would add on points to your resume. They are in need of someone who could not only work patiently but also possess inter-personal communication skills therefore making you fit in the position.

Let me explain the process of appyling, you need to share your latest curriculum vitae along with xerox copies of all your educational and experience certificates through an email that is albertlibrary@gmail.com. Lastly, do not forget to apply before 22nd of May 2022 because no application would be accepted after the mentioned date.

    Dear Sushant,

Hope you’re are doing well. It’s been a more than a decade we have met after we graduated from NY college. I’m writing this letter with regards to the work opportunity which you are looking for. Although, the market conditions are tough but I was able to find this suitable role which I suppose you will find it exciting to apply for.

This opportunity is with one of the leading IT firm in India. The company has diversified business across the globe. In this day and age where the other technology service providing companies are struggling to survive and laying off their staff to save costs they are expanding significantly. Because of international alliance and social role in the market the government is also supporting and providing more projects.

The position I have found in this company is related to IT project manager and exactly matching your existing profile. Even though, this will be more demanding and challenging role for you, however, I feel you will definitely succeed in this role. The roles and responsibility will include managing the team and oversee the activities they are performing. Furthermore, you will also play a role of a company representative to their international clients.

You can apply for this offer by vising to the link I have sent you separately the company website and job link. I look forward to hearing from you on how your interview went and your experience.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Amit

    Dear John,

I am writing this letter to inform you about the available vacancy in the Oracle Corporation which is a good opportunity to grow your career.

Recently, I have found that 3 application tester is required by one of the reputed IT companies. It has the basic requirement of the software skills which can be used in the testing of the code, as a tester should have abilities to find the bugs from the written code through compilation technique and submit the report to the concerned department. In addition, the candidate has to tune the code so it is mandatory to have knowledge of the Java, PHP, and Perl languages.

As you already graduated the computer science and 1-year work experience in programming make you the most suitable candidate for this post.

I had contacted the HR team of the organization, and they suggested applying through their career page, where an applicant has to create an account on the company’s website with the details of professional experiences, education histories, and skills.

Let me know if you need any further details about this application.

    Best regards,

    Eric Trance
