Q. In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.
Why might this be the case?

A. In many countries these days, owning a home is preferred over renting, by most people. This essay will discuss the points as to whether it is better to rent or buy a house.
To begin with, the concept of home is a major dream for people regardless of any country they live in and it certainly is a goal for many. In fact, owning a home relieves people from an enormous burden which is rent. A person who is a permanent resident of a country, for instance, would rather buy a house than keep paying heavy rent for the rest of his life. Hence, in any country, most people would prefer to own a residence.
On the other hand, renting an accomodation holds its own merits as well, since a major part of the non-residents cannot afford to buy a house in a foreign nation. Furthermore, its easier to get a residence on rent and its the only affordable option for a lot of individuals who live off minimum wages. Therefore, a considerable portion of people rent a house.
To conclude, this essay argued why some people prefer to own a house while others opted to rent one. In my opinion, both the cases has its own positives and negatives. Therefore, its a matter of choice and the life situation of individuals which dictates whether they would rent or own a residence.
