The given line graph describes various reasons causing air pollution in the UK between 1990 and 2005.

Overall, the air pollution due to all industry is decreasing linearly over the span of five years. The air pollutants consists of Transport, Industry, Households where household and Transport have a zig zag trend. On the other hand, pollution caused by Industry is strictly decreasing.

Initially in the year 1990, the pollution from industry( 5 million tonnes )is higher than transport and household. There is slightly decrease in pollution due to industry upto 1993. From 1993-1996 there is steep decrease in pollution and there after the slope of decreasing has diminished till 2005.

However in 1990 pollution due to households and transports is 1 million tonnes but later they have many ups and downs in trend. After this zig zag trend, from 1999 pollution caused by transport is strictly increasing and for household it is strictly decreasing upto 2005

All in all the total pollutants emitted in air has decreased from 7 million tonnes to 4 million tonnes till 1999 with constant slope. Thereafter from 1999-2002 the slope has decreased. Later from 2002-2005 the slope of decreasing has become greater and finally got a minima of 3 million tonnes of total air pollutants.
