To begin with, hosting international events requires massive infrastructure which can eat up a lot of the financial resources of the country as well as manpower. For Example, building new stadiums and public facilities for the visitors. To do so, more manpower is hired and more money spent to pay their wages. Moreover, Utilizing the facilities by the visitors will result in misusing such places. For instance, public transportation will be occupied by the visitors and not serving the people who live in the hosting country.
On the other hand, hosting such events can be beneficial for the country in many ways. First, it can increase international exposure to attract more business opportunities. An example for that is the attraction of many industrial companies to relocate their business in this country. Second, it will lead to elevate the tourism rate in this country. For instance, tourists visiting the country to explore its landscapes and its nature.
In conclusion, hosting international sporting events can be beneficial for the country and its economical development, however, it can drain it financial and environmental resources.
