The diagram illustrates how electricity is being generated from wave power.
We can clearly see that how location and construction is important for a Tidel Power Plant . As in this case generation of electricity possible whenever the waves enter and recede also.
The Part A depecits how electricity is being generated when the waves enter the chamber , the massive air pressure of the waves makes the turbine rotate which are affixed to the columns and generate electricity .The cliff or sea wall helps to streamline the pressure of the waves towards the turbine. In Part B ,when the waves recede ,the air pressure developed is being again used to rotate the turbine inorder to generate electricity.
Thus electricity is being generated in both inward and outward movement of the waves inside the chamber.
