It is good to hear from you after such a long time. Besides,I am very excited to know you planning to visit my country for a holiday of two weeks and i will not miss opportunity to meet during this stay.
Regarding your stay, I would like to advise you to go for an apartment rather than motels as it is very expensive and also unavailable during this holiday season. However, if you like I can book for you a small one bed room apartment, which is near of the center city and has beautiful view. Here, everybody know English so you will not have any communication problem too.
My country is not too cold like yours, average temperature is always between 26- 30 centigrade. So,you really don’t need to bring winter clothes as extra luggage. Another important point is renting taxi’s is too costly in my city therefore, I suggest you to commute with Bus or Trains which are very frequent and comfortable.
