    According to me these two should go hand in hand and are the two faces of same coin. While studying grammar gives you immense confidence and understanding of the language, conversation skills are equally incumbent. For one to be on the ball with speaking fluently, practise is a must. In studying grammar, brain gets time to grasp the knowledge acquired but in speaking one feels to be in a tight corner if you lack enough practise.

    I will conclude with an advice for the newbies that developing muscular memory for a language will save you on the fly and having in depth grammar language will boost your confidence.
