The given pie charts represent the sales through online shopping for retail sectors in Canada in 2005 and 2010.

In general, the virtual market was dominated by Electronics & Appliances along with Food & Beverages in the corresponding years while Home Furnishing and Video Games remained the smallest.

The rate of Electronics & Appliances saw the highest percentage of 35% among the retail categories in 2005 although it dropped to 30% which is shown in pie chart 2 whereas the trend of Food & Beverage that had a 22% share in 2005 significantly rose to 32%, the largest in 2010. Even though the share of Video Games suffered at 18% which was the least during 2005, it gradually increased to 23% in the year 2010. At the same time, the preference for Home Furnishings declined from 25% to 15% in the given time period.

It is interesting to note that the predilection of people in Canada towards Electronics & Appliances as well as Food & Beverages remains the greater proportion of more than 50% for both years. Moreover, the overall sales of Home Furnishings and Video Games never surged more than a quarter of the total items sold in either year.
