Colours always have played an essential role in an individual’s life, either personal or professional. Several research and experiments have been done to find the effect of colours on people’s mood and behaviour, and the findings show that people’s feelings are influenced by colour.

To begin with, we are associated with different colours from the very start of our life. For instance, red is considered the colour of love, whereas green is usually related to freshness and prosperity. Thus our brains associate these colours with our moods and feelings. We tend to react and feel differently with the association of colours. According to different studies, a new therapy called ” colours therapy” is quite effective and uses colours to cure certain mental and physical illnesses.

From this perspective, it is essential to use soothing and accepted colours in schools, hospitals and offices. Light and soft colours in the offices will help the employees feel more at ease and improve their performances. Similarly, vibrant colours in schools will attract the children and make them more comfortable in the space. Furthermore, when a hospital is painted, colours should be taken into consideration. The paint on the walls affects the mood of the patients and their health. For instance,
bright colours can make maniac or bipolar patients more aggressive, so they should be avoided.

To conclude, colours are an inevitable part of an individual’s life, and attention should be given to colour schemes when decorating places such as offices and hospitals as they tend to influence our lives in and out.
