    @falak

    It is quite common these days that the parents are sending their children to a different country, specially developed nation for education. There are some positives such as learning new things, getting better opportunities but at the same time children are emotionally disconnected from the parents.

    Many Parents send their children abroad to study in world’s best universities so that they get an international exposure by meeting different people, adapting variety of culture, which is not only good for their own development but also it provides a launch pad in their career. Many successful people such as Facebook founder, Google CEO are educated from the best universities which taught them and provided them an environment to learn and grow as an individual or become an entrepreneur.

    On the other hand, there are certain disadvantages as well, one is financial stress as studying abroad requires some huge amount of money and secondly when children move away from parents, they get emotionally disconnected from parents and when in trouble either mentally or physically, parents are too far away to help. Due to unavailability of parent’s guidance and support, children often go into a wrong direction and take immature decisions. For instance children getting involved in drugs and getting into trouble both lawfully and financially, and further parents are overburden due to financial stress.

    At the end, it is an individual choice whether to go abroad for study or not but If children are studying abroad then parents should stay in touch regularly and should able to sense and help in case of trouble.
