    Dear Mr. Kunal,

    I am writing a letter to apologies for my absence from the very important event “Green Day” held yesterday as I have to be attend meeting with one of our important customer at their office to discuss on the development of new product.

    I am extremely sorry for not being able to attend the event which was very important to each employee of our organization. Our very valuable customer call to me in late evening to inform that there is big change in current product development which their senior leaders want discuss with me as I handing the development of this product and requesting to me to attend the meeting on urgent basis in their office. Since the event “Green Day” was very important to me but our customer is also equally important to enhance the business.

    As the “Green Day” event has been recorded, I will be able to go through recorded version.

    At the end, please accept my apologies for the same, I will try to attend the such kind of events in future.
