The pie chart provides information that how percentage of spending in four different necessary items have changed from 1995 to 2010 in China. In the description I will explain the trend and changes in these parameters over time.

Overall, at the beginning of the period in 1995 the Food items contributed to maximum share in spending budget while medicine had a minimum share in total spending. In comparision, in the year 2011,while the food items spending fell slightly but it is still largest share of total spending. The share of medicines and household items in 2011 increased as compared to 1995, while clothing spending has marginally dropped. In both year 1995 and 2011, medicines comprised of minimum share in total spending.

In year 1995, Household items accounted for merely 9% of total spending, which marginally increased to 11% in year 2011.Having minimum contribution in 1995,although spending on medicines also witnessed an increase in 2011 from 4% to 11% but it still has minimum share in total spending in 2011.

On the other hand, at the same time it can be seen that contribution from food items and clothings have both reduced slightly. Food items having maximum share in 1995 at 68% dropped to 59% , but still contribute to maximum share in total spending. In addition to this spending on clothings have witnessed marginal dip from 19% to 18%.
