  • Often mainly people believe that international sporting events are the platforms for a hosting nation to showcase their qualities to the world while many believe it is a gratuitous large expense. In my opinion its a great advantage for hosting nation to put a step forward for its development

While organising an international event not only showcases the resources of the country but also provides any opportunity for further development. Showcasing the qualities would encourage the new business to get set up in the nation. Such events can be considered as marketing the name of our nation which attracts the worldwide investor to believe and invest in new starts up in the country as well as set up new hubs of their own companies thereby increasing employment opportunity and boosting the countries economy in the near future. Considering the example of India which hosted common wealth game in 2010, boosted its economy in the immediate year due to the limelight that was created through the event. Thus I believe that such events should be considered as a marketing tool which increases the awareness of the nation amongst the other countries

On the other hand hosting such events also encourages the people within the country to participate in such sports. I will create a game awareness which could galvanise people with natural propensity to explore the new sports. In todays tech heavy world it is important for people to have some mobility to stay fit. Such game would allow people to explore and ultimately be fitter. For an instance, as per TOI after commonwealth 2010 in India he participation of local in sport complex increased by a good number

To summarise I believe such events would definitely push the development of the country through new business, also would create awareness amongst local people about sports, ultimately keeping them fit

Often people believe that outdoor activities are more productive for children’s development when compared with playing computer games. In my opinion the above is true, children’s should be involved in more outdoor activities to enhance their development

First of all, I believe that playing outdoor activities will keep a child mentally and physically fit as, been involved in outdoor activities means getting involved in physical activities like running, walking, jumping etc. all these activities will enhance the core strength of the child which is important considering the current polluted environment. Children’s are more susceptible to disease as compared to adults thus these activities in turn will improve the immunity of a child. For example if you compare the health of an athletic and a IT professional who works on computers entirely, it is observed that IT professional health is abysmal as they are indulge in minimum physical activities thus, I believe that been physical fit is very important and getting involved in outdoor activities will ensure the same

Moreover, Outdoor activities expose a child to diverse people and it is often believed that when a person is expose to diversity he learns a lot – looking at how different people behave in different scenarios like after loosing a game how people take it sporting and keep a fighting spirit for the next game. In todays worlds where both the parents are working, often they condone the behaviour of their children, outdoor activities here plays a vital role as been exposed to people outside limit the children to behave in a right way. Thus getting expose to people through outdoor activities will definitely have a positive impact on a child

To summarise, I believe that been physically fit and mentally enhance is significant for children’s development thus getting involved in physical activities and been expose to diverse population would suffice the safe

Often many people believe to downsize the transgression rate, it is necessary to implement longer prison sentences while on the other hand many believe that there are other alternatives for the same. In this essay we will be looking at my point of view on both the sides of the argument

To begin with longer prison sentences, I believe it plays a significant role in reducing the crime rate. Criminal who has committed a crime will have a natural propensity to repeat the same if not punished and looked after, forsaking such criminal with minor punishment will exacerbate the situation by encouraging the criminal to commit it again. Longer prison sentences means a criminal has to be in a close room for years which means he will be divested from his freedom of movement thus making him realise the crime he has committed. Experiencing the freedom once he is out won’t let him to commit a crime and face the similar consequences. For a instances a recent study from Indian Psychological Department says that the most wanted criminal on Mumbai after serving 15 years of long term imprisonment has completed changed into a good citizen

Moreover, apart from longer imprisonment other factors should also be taken under consideration like increasing awareness amongst people like showing documentaries of a diabolic person about how he ended up his life. Also, including a lesson in academic curriculum of children would also have a great impact as children are ingenuous and can be easily moulded for good. For example, looking at Japan who has increased the awareness in their country about criminals through the above exercises, the TOI report says, its criminal record has decreased to 10% as compare to last decade. So I believe that looking into such activities is equally important

In my opinion, I believe that along with longer imprisonment other activities like increasing awareness should also be taken in consideration to reduce the criminal rate

The Bar chart provides the insights about the changes in travel habits by mode of transport in 1990 and 2000 in UK
Overall, the data shown reveals that travelling in has slightly increased from 1990 to 2000. The increase in travelling in 2000 was majorly due to marginal increase in bus and rail transport and drastic increase approximately double in air
As it can be seen from the graph that majority of the travel in both the years was through bus and rail, where bus is leading by a marginal differences. Comparing it over years we can say that mode of transport through bus has increase by a tiny fraction from 1990 to 2000 which same for rail as well. Contradicting trend was observed for Bicycle and Motorbike where we saw a dip in kilometers which approximately halved from 1990 to 2000. Air mode of transport was observed to have rocket increase from 1990 to 2000 approximately double.
