These days many people choose to live or work in other countries, which has been made possible because of the convenience of air travel and modern communications. I believe that this has more benefits than drawbacks.

The disadvantage of this development is the distance that is put between family members. If a person moves away it is true that air travel and devices such as skype mean that communication and contact can be maintained. However, it is likely that a person will only be able to return one or two times a year during holidays, and speaking on skype or via email is not the same as face-to-face contact.

Despite this, there are significant advantages it can bring to people’s lives. Firstly, it means that people have the opportunity to see other parts of the world and the way people live. For example, people from the West often go to work in Asia or the Middle East and visa-versa. This enriches many people’s lives as they get to learn about other languages, traditions, cultures and different ways of working from their own country.

In addition to this, on a wider level it may also benefit other countries. If someone moves abroad for work, it is usually because their skill is required there. To illustrate, nurses and Doctors often move to work in hospitals in other countries when there is a shortage, so this is very valuable to the place they move to.

I would therefore argue that although there are disadvantages of the current trend to live and work abroad, they are outweighed by the advantages. It can enrich people’s lives and lives of the people in the countries that they move to.

The biggest advantage is that people who face shortage of jobs in their native country can travel to foreign country which recognize their skills and talents. Due to this factor today, individuals choose to stay in a developed country for livelihood and enjoy higher standard of living. Admittedly its biggest disadvantage is that due to this technology development people left their home and move to other country where they need to live without their family even though they can contact them over the phone or social networking site but to stay together feeling is always missing.

To summarize, I should say that even though there are few disadvantages like staying without family or leaving our culture and values, but these issues cannot overrule the major advantages such as employment, better infrastructure and resources in foreign country.

On one hand , moving so far away could bring a gap within ones relationships with their family and friends . The present-day softwares can help maintain the connection but meeting in-person is most likely to overpower the same .

However , The new environment will provide an opportunity to develop life skills . This helps us achieve an exposure which would be the right fit for holistic development ! Learning about a new language , culture , ethics and traditions of a country would expand our horizon . One such example is when I learnt that in Germany the work is emailed directly without the need for a meeting and that helped me manage my time at my current office .

For example, settling with a family in a foreign country is deemed to be extremely beneficial by scientists as biracial and multiracial children are healthier and significantly contribute to the process of human evolution. However, on the other hand, ‘brain-drain’ is a word commonly associated with leaving one’s country for work or educational purposes. This shortcoming of relocation of people has led to devastating outcomes, especially in the third world countries. The developing countries are hard hit when native citizens immigrate to different countries, running after alluring and tempting job offers. For instance, nowadays, most developed nations like the USA and the UK are becoming saturated with students and other employees seeking better opportunities and luxuries from all over the world.

This has become possible because of the tremendous progress in the fields of travel, communication and technology. This essay will shed light on both the advantages and disadvantages of migration and emphasize on why i believe that the pros overshadow the cons here.

There are a few disadvantages associated with mass migration. One important reason is the rise in population in places where people decide to move to. When there is a rise of population in a place, there is simultaneous need to cater to their needs like transportation, which contributes significantly to the level of air and noise pollution. For instance, the level of air pollution in Switzerland in the year 1990 was really low when compared to the levels recorded now. In addition, there is always a looming threat of loss of jobs for the native people when there is an influx of foreigners. With the reducing number of job vacancies, there is going to be an obvious rise in unemployment among the natives. An example for this can be seen in gulf countries where original populations were left without jobs because the foreigners were taking up most of them.

Contrary to this, there are a lot of advantages which i believe, completely outweigh the disadvantages. To embark on, when people of different cultures mix together, there develops better understanding of different races and thereby leads to an increased level of empathy. Empathy is absolutely essential for peaceful co existence. A good evidence of this can be seen in the UK, where people have of different ethnic backgrounds have been living together since time immemorial which now has lead to a decrease in racially motivated crimes. Moreover, another very important factor is, it gives better chances for people living in impoverished or developing countries. Humans should be given the freedom to make their lives better. The main downside of this is the valuable time which families used to spend together have considerably decreased, although with the introduction of some free and easy online platforms like skype, zoom or google meet it has become easier to maintain contact with friends and family but it is not the same as having a live conversation face to face or going for a small outings or picnics frequently. Also, with the improvement in transportation the total air pollution level has increased in the past few years despite the efforts by the government promoting public transport majority of the people like to travel in their own vehicles as it is more comfortable.

The main advantage of advancement in transportation is that they can help people to travel long distances with ease and in much shorter time, making it possible to spend a vacation at any part of world and learn new culture, language and trends of different countries.

Also, with the advancement of communication work can be done at any place with a simple internet connection and a laptop, which has reduced the fatigue involved with the traveling and increased work efficiency. It has also created opportunities for people to take out some time which was usually used in travelling to improve their health and fitness.

The major problem with these developments can be seen on the youth as they have moved overseas to explore the global opportunities but it will have detrimental affect on their relation with their loved ones due to loss of personal touch with them. Although, communication through voice and video calling apps is much more easier these days but they cannot rejoice the moment which is achieved through face to face interaction. To exemplify this statement, one of my close friend is working in New York and we can just greet each other over virtual platform but we are saddened to not see each other in person.

However, alongside disadvantages I believe that we should not leave behind its benefits because they play an integral role in our lives. Firstly thanking to the evolution of mass transportation, journeys have become easier than before especially it is just a matter of time. For instance, bullet train has been invented which benefits not only to reduce the time that most people spend on travel but also help them to experience a luxurious life. A good illustration of this is communication technology, people are selected over the call it might video or audio. But with few applications like – skype, Microsoft team, zoom, g-talk and what’s app business account. Recruiter’s are opting video call. Even though people are happy to relocate in another country as they have opportunity to explore new culture, environment, tradition, languages even education system. It is fruitful with financial aspect.

But it also have some drawback they usually get disconnected from family, friends and relatives in sweet and sour time. They have only one option which is video call.

While we experience contact through a lot of internet enabled applications, we will still feel the necessity of being around our loved ones.However many applications mitigate this problem by providing high definition real time video calling experiences.

Subsequently, travelling to a new country is extremely beneficial for one’s holistic growth as it deepens the overall knowledge of an individual. This is enabled by easy modes of transport like air travel, underground trains connecting two or multiple countries along with wireless communications. The infrastructure is further being developed to hyper-loops aiming to reduce travel time by hours between countries and fibre optic cables increasing the internet speed by leaps and bounds. Modernisation and technological advancement also provides opportunity to people to explore their realm of space which in return improves the GDP of the country they reside in.It is also enables people to explore places known for their scenic beauty ,culture and historical traditions especially with the help of navigation applications which work based on satellite provided geo location points.

Although there are disadvantages of travelling and settling abroad, the advantages are more significant with respect to one’s lifestyle and future growth and it correlates perfectly with the freedom of moving into another country.
