    Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Andrew and I live on 26 Queen’s street, Downtown. I am writing this letter to express my discomfort because of the continuous maintenance work on the street. There is excessive noise commotion day and night which is causing huge problems to the residents in the neighbourhood.

There were few sewers open on the street which led to minor accidents in the last month. Road department made quick arrangements to repair them within no time which is highly appreciated. However, it has been more than 2 weeks now and it is still under maintenance. The roads are continuously blocked and we have to take a longer alternative route to travel to work. The noise created by the machines is highly disturbing during the day due to which our children are unable to concentrate on their studies and conduct online classes. There were also news reported that the labor in charge takes longer breaks during the which is causing a delay.

Considering the severity of the problem, I’d suggest you to please issue an alert notice to the team in charge to finish the work at the earliest possible or employ more number of workers to speed up the repair process.

Looking forward to hearing from you. A quick action will be highly appreciated.

    Yours faithfully,

    Andrew

    Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing to report the noise that arises from the refurbishment of an old theatre at the Hillburgh council since the past two weeks.

I am a resident of first lane in the Hillburgh Council and I have been living here for the past 10 years. As a senior citizen, I have always loved the calm and serene environment of this place.

Although, for the past two weeks there has been intolerable noise since an existing theatre in the area is being remodeled. This is a major concern for all the residents here, especially older people like me are highly displeased. The drilling sound not only causes severe damage to the ears, but also creates unnecessary stress for people with cardiac problems.

I would like to suggest that the local council could make arrangements for using noise free equipments for carrying out these works, so that it would be of help to myself and my fellow residents.

I look forward to hearing back from you immediately.

    Yours faithfully,

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to complain about the road works going on near my home and how the noise is affecting our lives.

My name is Paul, a resident of the Glenwood apartment complex having a family of 3 children.

Since last month, the road works that happens especially during the night-time is causing a big nuisance for all of us. Somedays we just cannot sleep at night as the work continues till dawn. Sleep-deprived and tired we cannot do our jobs efficiently and this has come to a point where we cannot bear this any longer. The matter just gets worst during day hours with the large machinery that drills, pounds, and digs on the surface which produces large decibels of noise more than the permissible limits.

As a solution, I would suggest that the work carried out does not extend beyond 8 pm so that our community can sleep without the disturbance. Also adding to it, the usage of noise-free types of equipment must be incorporated to reduce the sound levels to the permissible range.

Hope you would take the necessary action regarding this problem.

    Yours faithfully,

    Paul Hinder

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction against work which is currently going on the 26th avenue street. My name is Nilesh & I am staying in bait Jabrin apartment in Ras Al Hamara area which is just opposite to this street. I have been living in this area from last 5 years.

The road excavations works has been started from last 5 days & still this work is not finished yet. Unfortunately, this works start at 5:00 am in morning and sometimes it goes until midnight which is causing too much disturbance to everyone especially for the students as there examinations are going on. Another problem associated with this activity is improper dust control around it.

I would like to suggest that you please advise your contractor to start excavation activities only after 12 pm when office staff and students are not around & provide shelter across this job so that dust will remain in the shelter only. Also deploy more workers to finish this activity at the earliest.

Please take corrective actions at the earliest. I hope this issue will be resolved soon.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Nilesh S

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to report an ongoing noise issue arising from the regular maintenance work going on at the super market since past few weeks.

I am Susane an old resident of galaxy apartment in the welington street. There is an old super market next to my apartment which is getting refurnished and the construction work is going on from past 2 weeks.

Although we also want the supermarket to get restart again it will be beneficial for all of us around the street but the unbearable noise from drilling machines, excavator’s noise along with continuous hammering sounds keep coming from morning 8 am until evening 6pm. This noise is disturbing my whole family mentally and physically.

Me and my husband are working professional in IT companies, due to pandemic our jobs has been shifted to homes. Our two kids they also have online classes starting from morning to late afternoon. None of us can focus on our work due to a lot of distraction from outside further more my younger one has started reporting sever headache due to the noise of hammers and drilling machines.

I would suggest if the working hours of workers can be shifted to starting from early morning until afternoon or even late evening they can work. Authorities can advice them to work during weekend to carry out the drilling and hammering work, or they can use the machines which make lesser noise.

I am looking forward for a positive and prompt response from the council.

    Yours faithfully

    Susane

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this to bring to your notice regarding my concern on the local road widening activity, which is active from last couple of weeks.

I am an University student, pursuing Master’s degree in Art and Science domain and currently attending my last semester. Final assessment for this academic year has been scheduled next week, hence I am preparing for the same.

To brief out on the complain, there is huge hindrance being caused during the high way renovation activities, by which there is unavoidable constraint in concentrating during my preparation. Although, this cannot to be ignored or stopped for the sake of few individual concerns, like mine. However, this can be properly planned to mitigate to certain extent.

I would like to suggest a solution for the same, instead of conducting this activity round the clock, night sessions can be kept on hold, atleast for 2 weeks from now. This will help in planning and preparing for the test, Moreover, it will accommodated peaceful sleep, which will in turn help us to be active and focused during he examination.

    Thanking you in anticipation.

    Yours faithfully,

    John

    Dear Sir or Madam.

My name is Sheeba. I resides in VGP Shanthi Nagar. I’m writing this letter to express my discomfort in the street. For past one week, the underground electricity work is going on and the drilling machines are creating more noise which is disturbing me. The work is going opposite to my home.

I will be having meeting everyday at 10 am to 12 pm. The workers start to drill the ground by 9:30 am for underground electricity. The driller machine creates huge noise so that, I could not listen the meeting properly. I am frequently missing important updates from my manager.

After 12 pm I do not have any meeting. If the workers start their work after 12 pm, it will be comfortable for me. Or else they can start their work as usual and stop their drilling work by 10 am. After 12 pm they can resume their work. I request you to do necessary action on this as soon as possible. Looking forward reply from you.

    Yours faithfully,

    Sheeba Jebin.
