Hope you’re doing well. I am writing to you in reply to your letter seeking my advice in regards to the assistance that you need in switching your team at work. I clearly understand the nature of the problem because I also once went through the same. I know it feels a bit too frustrating but we can always find a solution.
I also dealt with the similar problem. When I was working with M&A transactions team, we were also few in numbers and the entire responsibility of meeting the productivity targets was on me. It used to be difficult to meet the productivity while meeting the quality standards. Although I had kept the manager in loop with the issues that I was facing, I kept working hard towards achieving my deliverables. However, on a longer run this seems difficult and affects the emotional stability.
Then, on the day of the annual general meeting I raised this issue in front of all the senior management and they understood my problem. They decided to increase the size of the team considering the nature of work and hired 3 more employees for the team. I suggest you do the same and talk to your superiors. I am sure a sensible decision would be taken.
Hope my piece of advice could be of any help to you.
Best Wishes,
Andrew

I recently received your letter about the problem you are facing at your current job. I’m writing to you on the possible approach to this situation.
I completely understand how difficult it is to cope with dominating colleagues, especially if it is your own boss. This happens in most of the work places, therefore it is nothing to be deeply worried about.
Infact, I had faced a similar situation at my previous job from one of my co-worker, who always used to find faults with everything that I did. I felt it very annoying, hence I reported him to my manager. Since then, my co-worker did not bother me.
I would suggest that you follow the way as mine by reporting your boss’s behavior to your super boss, so that this does not continue in the future. This may also prevent your co-worker from annoying other colleagues.
I hope this suggestion would be helpful to you.
Regards,
Madhumitha Murali

Good to hear from you. It’s been a long time since we caught up. Anyways from your letter I understand you are facing a tough problem with Excel software at your job. I assure you have asked the right person for this doubt.
I too have faced this same problem as we work in the same industry, and I tackle this in my own way which I discovered by researching the internet.
In the past, I used to execute the task in a tedious monotonous way by manually entering the data in the required format.
Fortunately, in excel there is an easier solution which is called pivot table. It is a built-in feature in excel and is very easy to use once you understand the procedure. I advise you to do some internet research on the pivot table and get back to me if you need any clarification regarding this.
In the future, if you need any other help, you know who can help you out.
Keep in touch and take care
Best wishes,
Paul

Deleted UserAugust 25, 2021 at 6:03 PMHi Mary,
I am writing to your letter of last weekend on facing the harassment from your manager. I had faced a similar issue and will guide you on the possible measure you can take.
I can understand your problem of repeatedly getting abused by your boss for committing mistakes and I would request you to remain calm and not do anything out of anger as you can face serious consequences.
Something similar happened with me in my first job. My team leader not only used to harass me for my flaws but also never praised me for my work. As a result, I have to resign from that job in 2 months and faced a lot of problems in finding a new one as my experience was not counted.
I would suggest you not to repeat what I did and deal with the problem smartly. Next time, whenever your boss says something wrong to you, just record it and mail it to your superior bosses. You can even collect testimonials from other colleagues and post them on social networking sites.
Hope these solutions work for you.
Yours truly,
Tanya Gupta

Feedback: Approach needs to be improved as the requirement of 3 bullet points are not fulfilled. Need to work on connecters as Use of “And” is not used properly that caused incorrect formation.

I hope you are doing good. I am writing to you in response to your letter last week where you had asked for my advice regarding some issues within your team. Being a team lead from last 2 years i have also faced similar issues in past so trust me it is nothing new when sometimes people go against you and they start disliking their supervisors.
When i was in similar situation when i have got promoted as Team lead. The work pressure in IT industry is same everywhere. I was new and wanted to prove myself which as a result led to a lot of work pressure on team hence they started to feel negative about me.
Gradually i realized it was me who was at fault, i had started spending more time with my team members and made them understand that what i am doing will help the whole team in future to grow and sustain in such competitive environment. There was an issue of alignment in our approach and thought process which i sorted out by sitting with them and spending time with them. Trust me it helped me to build that trust among the team and aligning up the team objectives.
I hope my personally tried and trusted advice will help you too to sort out the issue.
Good luck

Hope you and your family members are doing good. In response to your letter I am writing to you. Last month I faced the similar issue which you are facing right now. So I would like to give you a piece of advice.
I can understand your problem and I can feel how horrible the situation will be. Moving from production to bench in IT sector will be stressful.
Last month our project got ramp down and all our team mates were moved to bench. I couldn’t find any opportunities for my skill set. I was waiting for the project so long. Then I decided to learn new technologies which are in trend in the market. I planned to do ceritification in Data Science. After attaining the certification I was able to crack the interview and moved to production after ages.
I suggest you to do certification relevant to your skill set. Survivng in IT with same skill set is not possible for long run. I hope my advice will be a solution for your problem.
Thanks and regards,
Sheeba.

It’s been long since we last met, I recently received your letter , and I completely understand your problem. I am writing a possible approach for your current situation.
I can feel your pain, you are undergoing currently. Although, this kind of embarrassing behavior is quite common in the corporate domains yet, this is very difficult to get through at times. But you have to surmount and be strong.
In my past organization, even I was treated with this similar kind of behavior from my peer, where instead of finding a solution for the problem, I was the sole target to be blamed in each and every aspect. However, as my manager was employee supportive and acknowledgeable person, which made me complain after several incidents, upon which corrective actions were taken and rest was past.
I would suggest you to following the same strategy and report the same to your boss, this would not only help you, but also avoid your colleague to behave wrongly with others as well.
I hope this suggestion would bail you out from the present problem.
Best wishes,
Abhinav.

Deleted UserOctober 18, 2021 at 12:23 AMDear kalai,
Hope you are doing good. It’s been a long time since we met. I understand from your letter that you are facing some overtime work issues in your current project with shortage of team members which I too faced in that company earlier.
When I was working in your company, I was one of the two members in a high priority project called Sitcom. This project required daily reports which gave main source of data to other projects as well. Therefore we were forced to work 24/7 sometimes. Being in the state of completing more tasks alone, I faced so many stress and health issues and sometimes I was unable to complete the work on time which led to some problems in work as well.
Then I informed my team leader about my problems and asked him to provide more manpower or else asked him to change in different team as my health deteriorated. After that my HR team had meeting with me in person regarding the issues and they shifted me to other team. I suggest you to take the same approach of mine like talking to your concern manager officially to solve your problems.
I hope this advice will be helpful for you.
Best wishes,
Devi.
