  • Letter (Learning a Language)

Posted by isha on May 19, 2022 at 7:49 PM

You want to learn a language. There is a teacher near to where you live.

Write a letter to the teacher. In the letter:

    • say how you came to know about him/her
    • explain why you want to learn
    • ask what help they can offer.

    Dear Ms. Sue,

I am writing this letter to enquire about the possibility of getting enrolled in German language classes in your coaching centre during weekends.

I came to know about your coaching classes through one of my friend who has joined your class in my neighbourhood. I am particularly keen on learning from an experienced tutor who can guide me well to achieve my desired band score. I believe that I have approached one of the best mentors.

My reason to learn German is that I will be going to Germany to do my Master’s in the next three months. It will be an added advantage to learn the native language as German is the official language in Germany.

I would be grateful to you, if you could provide me with the details of your forthcoming classes, like fees, mode, and admission procedures etc. I would like to join the crash course of two months since, I have very limited time.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours sincerely,

    Banumathy

    Dear Ms. Donald,
I am Sherry, living in 3, Springs Villa, California. I am writing this letter in keen interest to learn the French language from you. French is the official language of Canada and France, so I was planning to move to either of those countries for my higher education. So, to learn the basics I want to learn French.
I came to know about your class from Mr. Robert from Cambridge High School who teaches German. When I asked him about the French tutor, he suggested yours as one of the best French tutors in the city.
I am so eager to learn the basics because I am planning to migrate to France or Canada for my higher studies and to speak with the natives.
I would like to join your private French class, requesting you to help me to join the class as soon as possible. It would be great if you could help me to learn this interesting language. I am waiting for your positive response.
    Yours sincerely,
    Sherry

    Dear Madam,

I am writing this letter to request to take English classes because I would like to learn at an advanced level.

One of my friends has been attending your tuition for 2 months, and he has become fluent to speak which is really impressive. During my conversation with him, he recommended you for the best teaching techniques.

I will be shifting to Australia in 3 months, so I am looking for training and practicing English to polish my skills. As English is mandatory in a foreign country I have to learn before arriving there and because of that, I would like to join your classes.

As you have a plethora of batches, you can provide permission in one of it, so I can start to get the knowledge profoundly of English, moreover, it will be a good opportunity for me to do practice with your students on daily basis.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

    Yours faithfully,

    John Rack
