One of the major concerns the world is currently facing is that of ensuring enough food for all people as the world population has been on the rise. It is considered by some that one feasible solution to this problem is utilising genetic modification technology in food production. I completely disagree with this idea for health and environmental reasons.

Firstly, genetically modified crops can be a threat to local ecosystems. Many crops are made more resistant to diseases, insects and severe weather conditions through genetic alteration, which could cause them to become stronger than most species in the area. As a result, the ecosystem could be thrown out of balance, leading to the loss of some local species. In Japan, for instance, genetically modified tomatoes spread to other areas through seed dispersal and deprive the natural plants of their habitat.

Secondly, the health impact of GM foods has still been unclear. Because genetic engineering is relatively a new area of research, its effect on the human body after consumption remains a cause for concern. For this reason, more rigorous research is required before we are able to rely on GM products on a larger scale. A good example of this is the corn produced using GM technology in France, which was proven to be carcinogenic by a number of studies.

To conclude , I disagree with the idea of using GM food as a viable solution to the issue of food shortage due to population growth unless its safety and environmental effects are tested thoroughly. It is crucial that we carefully consider the risks that might arise when utilising technology

The exponential increase in the world population,as compared to the past-decades.This resulted in a high-demand for food to feed the substantial number of people. As a solution, agriculturists around the world have come up GM foods(genetically modified foods).Although,GM foods may seem like a viable method to encounter our problem to produce more food,I believe that there are some underlying effects to these modified consumables therefore I would argue that there are some other methods to overcome this issue.

I am certain that genetically modified foods seems to have its own advantages. For instance, the crops grow at a rather faster rate than they naturally would have, allowing the farmers to yield more vegetables for the consumption of people. In addition to that, scientist inject chemicals into the food products to not only allow them to grow quickly but also resistant to different kinds of pests. This way, these consumables lasts longer and are readily available for the humans to feed on them meeting all the requirements of the costumers.

Although GM foods have advantages it is obvious that it has its fair share of disadvantages.Basically, the DNA structure of the food is modified that has a harmful effect on the human race by decreasing resistance towards antibodies as in ultimately decreasing the immunity and increasing the threat of getting more diseases.Furthermore,Genetically modified foods come at great costs due to its highly complicated process GM foods may not appeal to the majority of people, resulting in farmers suffering huge loss as cost of production may me significantly higher than the money they gained from selling them.

Taking everything into consideration, although GM foods are easily available whole year, consuming them will negatively affect your health but also makes it harder for the farmers to continue farm. Therefore, I strongly disagree with the notion that GM foods are a great solution for providing food to a large population.

The world population is tremendously increasing which is arousing the issue of how to feed all the people, there is a lot of debate between government officials and local people on who is responsible to ensure everyone has enough food to consume. Few people debate that it is GM foods organization responsibility to provide the best solution in order to fix the problem. Whereas, the essay below disagrees with the statement of having one single organization come up with a plan that affects the entire world.

Undoubtedly, one single company called “GM foods” cannot fix the problem of feeding the world population. It definitely needs the government’s involvement and has to work with each other. Government has to propose and implement the plans which help in generating more food and enhancing the agricultural methods. In fact, the government has to come up with schemes that encourage farming such as providing necessary loans with low-interest rates and equipment that would develop the make the farming easy and knowledge on the latest cultivation methodologies to the farmers. For example, the Vietnam government has promoted cultivation by giving zero percent interest loans to all the framers in their country and they have noticed significant growth in cultivation from 25% to 62% within 5 years. Not only one single country but every country has to develop similar programs so that there would be more cultivation of food which in turn provides enough food to all the people with the growing population.

Clearly, we need to build similar companies like GM foods that could help in resolving the issue. If we are dependent on a single company then we would be more dependent and if that company is facing some hardship in the transportation of goods or with financial crisis then the entire population of the country would suffer from lack of food. Hence, if we have multiple companies that produce and deliver food then we would not be dependent on a company and people can have more reliable options to receive the food. Therefore, more industries that supply food materials need to be developed all over the world.

To conclude, I would definitely disagree with expecting GM foods to provide the most feasible solution. It’s the responsibility of both the food companies and government to work and co-ordinate with each other to resolve a problem like this which would impact the entire world.

As the population of the world is increasing, the biggest problem is how to feed the people. It is believed by some that GM foods are a good option to tackle this problem. In my opinion, GM foods can solve the problems of food shortage as they can grow in any weather conditions and they also have rich nutritional values.

To begin with, there are many advantages to growing these genetically modified crops. They are extra resistant to weather. In other words, they do not need any specific weather conditions or places. So, farmers can harvest them anywhere. For example, apples can also be found in the northern part of the country. Additionally, farmers might benefit from these GM foods because they require less money and land. So using less land they can grow a large amount of crops.

Furthermore, these foods are rich in more nutrients such as vitamins and minerals because they are modified by scientists. It can reduce the usage of pesticides as they are not attacked by pets. So do not need pesticides to kill them. As a result, they can be used for more days. For instance, people buy these foods for a whole week at a time and store them in their home without much effort.

To conclude, I agree, they are useful to feed the growing population. GM foods are good not only for a healthy lifestyle but also for increasing yields in the country. For the increasing population, increasing crops play a vital role to combat food scarcity.

In my opinion, GM foods can solve the problems of food shortage as they can grow in any weather conditions and they also have rich nutritional values.

To begin with, there are many advantages to growing these genetically modified crops. First and foremost, they are extra resistant to weather conditions such as flood and drought. As a result, these can be grown anywhere at any time in the year. For example, initially apples can be found in the most northern part of the country but now they can be found in the northern part as well, as they do not require any specific temperature or location to grew in. Secondly, they are cost effective and usually cheaper than the normal crops because they can be produced in the same amount using less land, less water or less pesticides. Because farmers can save on resources, food producers can also charges lower price for genetically modified foods. In some cases, the cost of the foods such as soybeans, corn etc may be cut by 15-30 %.

Furthermore, these foods are rich in more nutrients such as vitamins and minerals since they are modified by scientists. So, they are beneficial in those areas where people suffer from nutritional deficiency. They can reduce the usage of pesticides as they have been altered to less vulnerable to insects and pets. Instead of having to be sprayed with a complex pesticide, these come with an innate pesticide. In a recent survey, it found that usages of pesticides reduced by 10 % as compared to the last ten years. Because of less pesticides, these crops may lead to less health risks for people eating them.

To conclude, I agree, GM foods are useful to feed the growing population. They are good for a healthy lifestyle and also increase the yields in the country as they do not need any specific requirements related to weather or location. GM crops technology play a vital role to combat food scarcity for the reason that we can increase crop productions easily with cost effective methods.

There has been a notable increase in the global population in the last decade or so. Ever-growing population in turn also means huge demand for food, which is difficult to cater. Scientists and experts believe that genetically modified crops / foods offer a viable solution to this problem. I am a strong proponent for utilising genetically modified foods, to tackle the problem of starvation, especially in under-developed economies and would be highlighting some reasons for this choice.

GM foods are crops/ vegetables, whose DNA is genetically modified through genetic engineering. These are immune to external factors that affect the life of a crop like pests or other attacking organisms. Moreover, since these are genetically processed in laboratories, they have no dependency on weather, external environments for their growth. In a study by the WHO, it was formulated that every year about 20% of unnatural deaths ,around the globe occur due to hunger and malnourishment. With the introduction of GM foods, the world food production would increase at a rapid pace, solving the hunger crisis ,that is being experienced globally. Also, we can be certain that the shelf life of foods would be higher, leading to a substantial decrease in the food wastage numbers. With pesticides proven to be extremely harmful for the human body, it is imperative that governments across the world, move to GM alternatives which offer a fast producing and non-chemically treated, food consuming solution.

Some naysayers are of the opinion that these foods could pose a threat to the local farmers that depend on agriculture for their living. However, I throughly believe that the increase in the food demand is necessary to take steps in this direction and would eventually need both food options to co-exist.

To conclude, I hope we see a wider utilisation of GM foods and benefit from this wonder of genetic engineering , to eliminate the food supply and hunger problems, in the modern world.

With the ever increasing population comes the problem of food availability to the masses. Scientists and agriculturists have come up with a solution. They believe that genetically modified food can cater to this problem. I, herby present my argument in the favor of genetically modified foods.

To begin with, genetically modified foods are foods whose DNA has been modified in the laboratories. Since the population is on the rise, land has now become a scarce resource, here genetically modified food helps. Genetically modified foods can be grown on any land, favorable or unfavorable, under any adverse weather conditions. Genetically modified crops are also resistant to the use of pesticides and insecticides, which means better quality of food. People in cold countries like Antarctica can now enjoy foods that are grown in tropical countries like India.

Furthermore, these are genetically processed in laboratories, they are high and rich in nutrients. Such food can be made tastier by adding certain flavors, encouraging more and more people to taste it and get all the nutrients and better taste. To keep the demand and supply in balance for food, genetically modified foods are preferable, since they have a high yield, thereby larger production to feed the growing population, keeping the supply-demand in balance.

To conclude, I agree that genetically modified foods is the viable solution to cater to the increasing population because of there wider availability during anytime of the year and anywhere.

With the passage of time, population is increasing at a tremendous rate so more mouth to feed. Agriculturists ans scientists come with the notion of alteration of crops that is Genetically Modified Foods to feed the population. I totally disagree with the idea of genetically engineered foods as it not only causes health problems but also affects the environment.

Firstly, Genetically Modified Foods refer to alter the genes of species. These genetically engineered crops have negative impact on the environment as there is no natural change in the crops but crops are artificially altered by using the technology. By modifying the crops, scientists and agriculturists make some species resistant to diseases and insects. In fact, some species become stronger enough that they start dominating the local ecosystem. This modification brings more threats to ecosystem and makes the ecosystem unbalanced. To instance, in some countries, it has been observed that some species has become extinct from their local environment due to this modification. On the other hand, these GM foods also increase the toxins in the soil. These toxins prevent the growth of bacteria which are useful for soil texturing and growth of the plants. Sometimes these crops also become the facilitator for causing soil erosion and run off.

Secondly, agriculturists come with this idea of genetically modification because this process helps in increasing the production and lifespan of foods. But this modification results in less nutrients. As nutritional value of foods is less which adversely affects the human health. Doctors also point out that these crops also cause allergic reactions to human body. When human intakes these foods, the immune system responses as these genes carry some allergens that cause allergy to human body. According to them, these genetically engineered crops also cause cancer as these modified genes cause breakdown of cancerous cells at a high rate.

To conclude, with the intention to increase production, agriculturists bring more threats to environment as well as to humans. These GM crops have more negatives than positives. So, these crops are not a viable solution to feed the large population.

In this era of globalisation, where world’s population is rising gradually, the biggest matter of issue these days is to ensure enough foods to all the people, so that problem of food scarcity doesn’t occur and the feasible solution to tackle this problem is the utilisation of Genetic modified technology in food production as believed by some people. Therefore, I completely agree with this view as it will improves nutritional content and longer shelf life of foods.

Primarily, Genetic modified techniques adapted by various countries all over the world, as it involves various benefits. To begin with, improvement in the nutritional content of the vegetables or consumable foods considerably one of the main reason genetic engineering of these foods has been accepted. Since, many chemical tests has been conducted or experiments been made though this technique to make the food more healthy and edible for consumption by going denser into the quality ingredients. For instance, Japan’s Scientists are conducting various experiments to enrich those foods produced by genetic modification like tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, and many more.

Secondly, another most important reason among various food manufacturers is to give food a longer shelf life, so that it can enhance the natural qualities of vegetables, yielding crops, fruits, etc., and would be consumed for longer period of time. Furthermore , this would also enhance faster growth of plants and animals. Consequently, reducing the problem of food scarcity, for example, the nutrients content in Rice have been modified so that it would minimise deficiencies and enhance Vitamin A elements.

Thus, by summing up we can consider, genetic modified foods benefits the society by adding the nutritional value and increasing the shelf life of foods for better quality consumption.

The increase in the population has led to a challenge to feed millions of people all over the world. Some group of people argue that this kind of Bio-engineering agriculture product will solve the food crisis. I strongly disagree with the notion of genetically engineered food as it will be an exploitation of natural vitamins as well as for health concerns.

To begin with, genetically modified foods are the combination of multiple products or inheriting quality of the other food product to increase the quality of existing food for better vitamins as well as nutrition therefore it will ruin the natural health benefit what we were consuming from it. For Instance, a experiment held by Norwegian scientist states that genetically modified foods are unhealthier to the mankind due to antibiotic resistance, toxicity and allergenicity.

Furthermore, genetically modified agriculture method can be followed across the world therefore if any disease begins to spread due to the food. It will be hard for people to found out easily. For instance, I was staying at a village and there one of the villagers offered me a coconut and it was bio product two hybrid coconut, I assumed that it might have better vitamins but the taste was different and I felt sick after consuming the coconut.

To conclude, in my opinion feeding genetically food will make people unhealthy and it will destroy the natural breed of a food product as well as threat to the bio-diversity. I believe people should protect the natural products therefore it will safeguard our health in future.

Even though, producing the enough food for densely populated world using traditional farming methods is a huge challenge, but following the GM foods as an alternative option cannot be a feasible solution as it could have lot of adverse effects in long run and still not proved to be a healthy by any research. Hence, I would strongly disagree to follow the GM foods as an alternative option.

Firstly, GM foods are derived from organisms by changing their genetics which will be generated under special environments where they use lot of chemicals which will impact the humans in lot of ways, for example when children or infants consume these foods it may create serious lifetime illness. These foods are generated by combining the different genetics of the plants by mutating their genetical roots and adding the chemicals. Which in turn make the foods more danger to consume.

Secondly, GM foods are not proved by any research as the healthy option, so consuming the foods which are yet not proved to be a healthy is danger. At least we have to wait until there is any research organization approves it as feasible.

In my opinion, As GM foods will have lot of chemicals and generated under special environments in labs which still in experimental state. These foods have to be assessed properly before making it available for people to consume. I strongly disagree to follow it as a substitute to resolve the world population due to its serious health issues and its unproven methods.

Genetically modified foods are considered to be the future of crops to meet the consumption rate of ever-increasing population. I strongly advocate in favor of this due to innumerous advantages they offer such as less land requirement and resistant to pests. Let us further analyze why GM food would be an optimal solution.

To begin with, genetically engineered food plants need less land compared to normal crop plant. As these plants or seeds are modified from their very core, they have capacity to yield more food in single plant compared to normal crop plant. For example, a normal tomato plant produces around 200 tomatoes in one season while genetically modifies plant produces around 350 which is almost twice. Hence, same land can now give more output because of genetic engineering.

Moreover, genetically engineered plants have better resistant to pests. One of the major concerns of people is that the food they intake have been exposed to pesticides which make their consumption harmful for health, diseases such as allergies, cancer are some of the common examples, but due to modification in genes of these plants this problem can be eliminated to a great extent. Studies suggest farmers using gm seeds use less chemicals in fields. Therefore, bio engineered plants are healthier option.

In conclusion, I believe genetically modified food eliminates the issue of feeding growing population as they yield more and are healthier than normal food plants. Government should spend more on the research and efficient usage of this technology for better future.

Nowadays, the increase in the number of people in the world has raised a problem of feeding this large population. So, a minority thought that genetically modified food would offer the solution for it. I am totally against this concept of GM foods as they have changed the process of yielding, using pesticides for faster yield, etc. Let further have a brief discussion about it.

First of all, GM foods are type of foods which are grown with some chemicals and ingredients for fast yielding of crop. This may also lead to side affects in human body by consuming it. Humans can face genetic problems in further generations. Yet, some people think this is the optimal solution to feed the whole population.

secondly, GM foods also lack nutrients as normal food has in it, because of the use of pesticides in fast growth of the crops, the nutrients get killed by those chemicals which leads to less healthy food. Thus, GM food is unhealthy and lack the vitamins and minerals which natural food provides to the human body.

In my conclusion, I think increasing the pay and strength of farmers and providing them with good equipment for farming is the optimal solution in my opinion to feed the world population. I also think making food corrupted is not what we want to do. The increase in GM food intake can also lead to high death rate of farmers which is another issue . Thus, I totally disagree to the statement that GM foods are the solution for feeding the whole population.

Spiral in world population is the most alarming issue because feeding such a large population needs more production, while some believe that genetically modified foods can be optimal solution to this problem. In my point of view, I think these GM modified foods can pose serious health issue to humans.

To begin with, despite the fact that genetically modified foods can solve problem, but these foods are nurtured in such way to produce more yield in short span which can create food allergy who consume it. Furthermore, traditional cultivation can cease to end since most of them are cultivated in labs, yet these seeds are restricted to few companies. To illustrate, some research indicates GMO foods can trigger cancer cells in our body.

On the other hand, genetically modified foods contain more nutrients which could be beneficial since a greater number of people are dependent on Vitamin tablets. Although GM modified crops are resistance to pests and can withstand all weather conditions, besides they require little water to cultivate them so maintenance can be bit costly, as it is still in early phase of scientific research which needs proper evidence to go into market. Nevertheless, governments should act swiftly to make legislation for birth control.

To conclude, Though GM foods have advantages like more yield, short duration to cultivate, these are still in initial stages of research. In my opinion, there are alternative ways like population control, and increasing in production of more traditionally cultivated foods could solve this issue.

With the upsurge of population, speculations are made that it would result in hunger. Therefore, man has to interrupt nature and create some genetically modified versions of food. It has been a debatable issue whether we should go with genetically engineered foods, whereas I strongly agree with this notion owing to the reasons described in the following essay.

First and foremost, it is intuitively obvious that this man-manipulated food could provide various monetary benefits along with health. To put in other words, less input in terms of money would be required to get a higher yield, resulting in saving money. Secondly, a person shall be benefitted from the nutritional value, he is missing, while not intaking certain foods. There is ample evidence that scientists are struggling hard to grow this GM food in order to fulfill the requirement of the vitamin by the people. Therefore, it is plausible that these scientifically grown eatables could be highly beneficial.

Additionally, the long-term benefits associated, like it could make the growth of plants regardless of climatic conditions and availability throughout the year, are of utmost importance. To add on, the genes given to the fruits and vegetables gives an artificial atmosphere to grow in an unsupportive environment resulting in being available in unfavorable months as well. For an instance, people living in urban areas have started mixing the breeds of plants and grow plants even in their terrace gardens. Hence, it is intro-controvertible that the use of GM foods is a boon to mankind.

To conclude, after agglomerating the aforementioned writing it is clear that the increase in births is rising concern for the scarcity of food forcing people to find solutions. One such help can be the use of genetically modified foods and I fully agree with its consumption due to the above given justifications.

Along with increasing huge population, feeding to everyone is the greatest global challenge nowadays, many people believe that Genetically Modified could be a reasonable solution, and to a great extent, I agree to the statement because it is the only and readily available quick way to feed the masses.

Firstly, Genetically Modified foods are the only available solution to tackle the situation quickly, because searching for a new type of meal which could be nutritious and healthy for human being could take a lot of time in research and finally to be accepted to the society. Moreover, our cultural values abide us with the type of food we consume on daily basis, so existing foods with some improvements are easy to adapt rather than to accept new one. To exemplify, US researcher found the plant-based meat to tackle the scarcity of meat bases food but that was not accepted by the people, and it could find very limited numbers of customer. Eventually, failed to be a mainstream food for masses.

Secondly, Doctored foods are already being used in few countries to fight with the dependency to import food items from another countries. Because it’s not feasible to grow the original cops due to weather and climate challenges, but with few DNA changes these consumables could be compatible in with varied environment. Moreover, we can understand the health impact and acceptability of these meals form the experience of other nations, where are they already in use. For instance, in few African countries where water shortage was an issue to grow rice and feed the people but after government research institute researched and modified the Genie of the corp, it become possible to grow rice with less water, which help them to reduce hunger index of country by 5 points.

To conclude, Genetic-altered grains production is the quick and viable solution to solve the feeding issue worldwide. As few countries already into it and successfully reducing the dependency on imported feed. Apart from that, finding for a new type of food and accepting it by the society is also a hard.

With the other problems surrounding us, a massive increase in the world population has created a plethora of difficulties like creating food scarcity, where genetically engineered foods play a major role in combating this problem. This essay will talk about my arguments supporting the usage of genetically modified foods, and how this is better that the conventionally grown crops.

Genetically engineered foods bring along massive pros. First and foremost, it increases the agricultural production of a nation. For instance, there has been an enormous increase in the cultivation of crops in countries like India, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh to name a few. This further has expanded their economies. The very fact that this technology has made ample number of provinces self-reliant cannot be ignored, as proof China is known for using the genetically modified foods and is no longer dependent on other countries for foodstuffs. Thirdly, these modified foods are evidently much more nutritious, hence a generous amount of population are using it while cooking.

Besides genetic engineering saves a lot of natural resources like water unlike the conventionally cultivated plants, which require a huge quantity of water to flourish. This applied science is budget as well as time friendly, hence these crops are thrived within a few months. For instance, a standard lemon takes 5 years to grow full, while a genetically modified lemon seed will take only four to seven months to grown. Various of these foods are also know to be used in vaccines and in certain medicines.

To conclude, I agree to the fact that GM foods are certainly a practical solution to the problem of food shortage due to population growth as it conserves the natural resources apart from delivering more nutrition. Not to forget that it has made so many countries self-reliant that has resulted in diminishing food scarcity scenarios around the globe. With the other problems surrounding us, a massive increase in the world population has created a plethora of difficulties like creating food scarcity, where genetically engineered foods play a major role in combating this problem. In contemporary era, providing basic necessities for instance food is the biggest issue due to increasing masses. Although, some says that genetically modified foods offer a good solution to this serious problem. However I believe this is not without risks, certainly it is a feasible way to provide enough meal for the increasing world population.

Firstly, DNA of the crops has been modified scientifically to support growth in any weather condition so that it can be provided to the mass inhabitants. Due to change in environment like floods, global climate and pollution, farmers are not able to earn enough money to support their family, the advent of such crops which is resilient to weather provides enough money to the cultivators. For instance, in Europe farmers are able to grow rice with minimal water to feed their nation without much importing from different countries.

However, food manufacturing from above process does not contain proper nutrient as not grown in organic way. As a consequence this is not healthy for the body. In contrast, population of the earth is increasing exponentially and due to deforestation less land is available for the crop. There are lots of people who cannot afford food due to cost but GM food is making their life easy as food is getting sold in cheaper rate and many family not sleeping without their meal. For example, Government already declared that we need 70% more food by 2050 to feed the masses.

To conclude, there are demerits with genetically modified food which overweighs with the greatest problem in universe of feeding large number of masses with less rate and easy availability.

population of the earth is increasing exponentially and due to deforestation less land is available for the crop. There are lots of people who cannot afford food due (this all should be one sentence)

easy as food is getting sold in cheaper rate(s)/(they are able to get food for a lower prices) and many family(families) not sleeping without their meal.

Government (has) already declared that we need 70% -(example could be more coherent , may be an idea is missing to connect and maintain the logical flow)

here are demerits with genetically modified food which overweighs with the greatest problem in universe of feeding large number of masses with less rate (prices) and easy availability. (faulty structure, demerits are not overweighing as per the essay)

Many people have an opinion as genetically engineered foods will meet the large-scale food demand globally. Though it could risk human immune system and natural vegetation, I think, it can be considered for their specific nutritional benefits. This essay dealt with the topic in detail.

Whenever a scientifically modified crop is introduced, environmentalists observe the contingence of a crop failure or any adverse effects. In detail, since the born nature of the food source is altered here via DNA mutations, people often seem concerned about the after effects on their immunity and digestive ability. For instance, in 1980s, the researchers introduced a DNA modified wheat grain. Unfortunately, their cultivation had been stopped by the authority as it affected children’s body defense mechanism as well as caused the other grains to starve for nutrients from the soil. However, at present, genetically altered food items would always undergo a safety analysis before reaching to the hands of public.

Why would the bio-engineers still continue developing these crops even with these risks? Its’ because the outcome is better than of these drawbacks. In other words, DNA changes on a food variety will help the agricultural researchers to modify them into more convenient as well as specific way. If a cereal like beans, for instance has huge public demand, yet the production cannot meet this need, microbiologists can work on the beans family to come up with a new crop that yields more harvest and good quality beans. Therefore, as long as the determined alteration possibility, GM foods can be seen as a better alternative to meet the public demand.

To recapitulate it is undeniable to see that if the bio-engineers rule out the potential harm to human and earth through different analysis, the synthetically mutated food can tackle global challenge of food scarcity.
