Shopping is a fulfilling experience and is considered as a form of entertainment by many, especially in western countries, Nations promotes consumerism since it drives the economy, this can be considered as a positive impact of this phenomenon, but the negative side, like long term mental and economic impact of the individual far out ways the positive note.

An economy is alive and well flourished when money changes hands, To increase GDP, countries promote shopping, but we should consider the price we are paying especially to the vast majority of its citizens.

We need to first analyze why people like consumerism, shopping for entertainment stimulates, dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is interpreted as pleasure by the brain, resulting in considering this as entertainment, however, dopamine is like a drug, it is short-lived, and more powerful dopamine is required further round to the lane. This will result in requiring more for self-gratification. This will lead a person to depression, Recent research journals show this trend is increasing in teens these days. Companies know about dopamine and will fine-tune advertisements so that you spend more money.

Shopaholicism has a direct impact on financial aspects for individuals, If you see successful personalities, who have expanded their wealth always think, if a product is necessary and will it make money in the future for them if we see celebrities buying lavish objects, it in itself is marketing themselves making them influencers, companies do pay them. Spending money unnecessarily on unwanted items will reduce the wealth and in time of emergency will lead a person scrambling for finances. the people who are more impacted by this are people who are not super wealthy, which makes up the majority of a countries population.

As evident from the above paragraph, we can conclude that the negative impact on one health mentally and financial distress caused by an unnecessary spending spree, far outweighs the positive side for an individual, Although we can see people’s behavior as contradictory to this.

long term mental and economic impact of (on) the individual

B.P1 would have been more convincing if it has followed Specific to general explanation

, if a product is necessary and will it make money in the future for them if we see celebrities buying lavish objects, it in itself (sentence structure / punctuation needs to consider to add more clarity)

Spending money unnecessarily on unwanted items will reduce the wealth and in time of emergency will lead a person scrambling for finances. (as) the people who are more impacted by this are people (those) who are not super wealthy (affluent), which makes up the majority of a countries population. (at some points, I felt conjunctions and cohesive devices are required)

one (one’s) health mentally and financial

Shopping in essential for everyone living in this world. Some people do it for their basic needs, while others in several developed countries consume it for their comfort and entertainment. This essay will argue about the detrimental effect of unnecessary shopping on the human bodies as well as on their financial savings.

Firstly, shopping is a fulfilling experience as it provides satisfaction and entertain to our mind wether its for essential house hold items or unnecessary things. Some people are shopaholic ,they are used to buy certain unnecessary item as they are influenced from advertisements. Moreover they have enough savings so they spent their money on branded unwanted things to show off or for their comfort and lavish lifestyle. For example a normal branded car have almost all necessary features for comfort and safety however, many prefer high segment cars like Mercedes and BMW.

Secondly , shopping unwanted items gives a huge impact on person funds In addition to that , people who cant afford luxuries items commit crime to copy them. Moreover such person gets depressed.Person addapting shopping as hobby is not beneficial at all as It dose not develop person physically or intellectually, if we compare it with activities like sports or reading.

In conclusion, people should only shop for necessary items not for worth less products. Moreover people should always be aware of advertisements as they change persons mind totally and pushes them towards buying unwanted products. People should follow more constructive ways to spend their free time.

Nowadays, in many modern nations , consumerism is not only about buying important products for daily needs to survive, it is also seen as form of entertainment and comfort. This essay will argue that it is a negative development because , even though it effects an economy , it is affect a person mentally and intellectually .

Firstly, people who take leisure time in purchasing items cling their satisfaction from the objects they obtained .Very often people purchase a lot of unnecessary things that then gather dust . Hence , then all of this accumulated products turn out to be a waste of money and also take people away from more meaningful and beneficial activities such as travelling , creating arts and crafts or playing sports. For instance , people would prioritize buying the latest gadgets even though they still have a functioning one.

Secondly, nowadays marketing and advertising companies developing more and more ways and tools to promote their goods , so people will want to buy more respectively. Also,by buying more unnecessary things , it negatively affects the environment and air pollution. For example , the higher buyers order , the more the factories produce harmful smoke , which leads to an environmental problems.

In conclusion, in the first world countries shopping now is the new way of entertainment , I believe that for the most part it creates a negative effect , especially for the environment . Shopping should be for fulfilling our necessity, not for our personal pleasure.

In many of the developed nations people go shopping not merely to purchase the required products but also to entertain themselves. In my opinion, it is a positive development as it may help to avoid stress or depression and also enhance the mood .

Firstly, going for shopping may help people of all age groups to deal with the constantly increasing problems like stress and depression. However, it may not be 100% efficient, but it can surely help to some extent. Nowadays, people prefer to be at their homes rather than going out, but as it is rightly said that “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop”. So, whenever a person isn’t investing his time in a good thing or he is engaging himself in unethical things like watching pornography, then going for shopping can be a good alternative. Even though, going for shopping may not be a productive activity but it can at least help to avoid the engagement in activities which make one less productive.

Moreover, it can help people to boost their moods and be more happy. As it has been proved in so many studies that spending time with family and friends not only makes one cheerful but also aids to relieve tension. Hence, taking out some time from the hectic schedules of the modern era and going shopping with frirends or family members may benefit the health and promote happiness. Additionally, consumerism makes the economy of a country stronger. Furthermore, it encourages production of more goods as well as services which may prove beneficial for the society as a whole.

In conclusion, although there may be some bad impacts of consumerism but as it affects the health of people positively and also aids GDP of a country, it can certainly be considered as a positive trend.

Shopping has become a source of entertainment for people all over the globe. It has originated since the rise of youtube. There are many people who find shopping to be thrilling and therapeutic whereas others find it wastage of money. In my opinion, shopping should be done mindfully and there should be balance between pleasure and budget.

On one hand, there are certain set of people who buy items or objects entirely for a sense of joy and to please themselves. Buying commodities of any kind releases endorphins which are, happy hormones in them. It’s said that nowadays lot of people are buying to release their stress as a result it improves their mental health for a time being. Ever since the rise of online shopping and youtube lot individuals are buying for experimental purposes, for instance, designing their room, styling their clothes etc, all these activities has become their hobby or means of entertainment.

On the other hand, there are people who consider shopping as hoarding or waste of money. This set of population strongly believe buying those products which aren’t required are wants than needs. They buy items out of impulsivity or temporary happiness. For example, during stressful situations to avoid pain or grief we find ways to overcome them as a result buying or shopping becomes their source of escape.

In conclusion, doing shopping for their source of entertainment or to feel good is great but to some extent. It shouldn’t reach to a point where you are buying mindlessly.

In Western countries, European countries, and people who are living in developed nations splash out with their friends in shopping malls and purchase unwanted goods which are not essential for their day-to-day life. This essay argues in a positive manner because whenever money route in the market then inflation does not take place.

Nowadays in a family, both mother and father are working for their bright future. On weekends most of the families who are living in developed cities plan to spend their time in social areas like malls, restaurants, and theaters and make themselves happy . For instant, If we consider software employees they have to work against the clock on weekdays and are exhaust with their work pressures in those situations to relax people prefer shopping especially purchasing clothes or spending time in furniture shops and try to put their house decaratefully.

On the other hand, in fast-growing countries, the government is getting most of the taxes from entertainment societies like shopping malls, band outlet stores, breweries, etc. If I consider my home town as an example, In the past 10 years the infrastructure has been developed and new malls are built and a drastic growth has happened and especially ample gated communities were built. People who are living in my city for wedding shopping or for other events no need to shop out of city. On top of that people are coming for jobs to my home town from all corners of the country.

In Conclusion, I personally believe only this development happens because people are spending more money for their entertainment so different multi national brands are opeing their stores and providing jobs. Moreover governments collecting huge taxes and developing their countries.
