In these days of aggressive marketing strategies and media influence, advertisements are gaining tremendous popularity. The major goal of advertisements is to grab the attention of consumers inorder for them to buy a targeted product. While some people claim advertisements succeed in persuading consumers, there are certain others who oppose this view. This essay will discuss points as to why advertisements influence majority of people all over the world.

To begin with, the immense popularity of advertisements owes big time to the media influence on people these days. Actually, ads are made with much creativity and imagination so as to captivate the audience. In fact, these ads try to connect with people mentally and emotionally. A dark complexioned man, for instance, who watches television regularly, sees an ad of a fairness cream, many times, it is more likely that he would purchase the product to become fair, as shown in the ad. Hence, we can see that ads play a vital role in the life of masses.

On the contrary, there are many people who effectively ignore the advertisements since they already know that its just made up to persuade consumers and market the product. As a matter of fact, these individuals are aware of the marketing strategy behind ads, so they escape the vicious traps that it sets. To illustrate, we can see that most people dont pay much attention to ads these days and they just avoid it as much as possible by changing the television channel or just turning off the television. Therefore, there is certainly a growing amount of individuals who are not persuaded by ads anymore.

In conclusion, ads would definitely prevail and succeed in attaining its goal to persuade consumers. Thus, in my opinion, with the rise of ads in several media platforms, it is highly probable that its influence on masses would definitely get stronger. In these days of aggressive marketing strategies and media influence, advertisements are gaining tremendous popularity.
