Nowadays, Manufacturers and supermarkets use different kinds of techniques for packaging the goods to attract more customers but it’s highly impacting the environment. So, it has been a debatable topic between people wherein some say it’s the manufactures and supermarkets which must be held accountable while others believe that it’s the customers liability to refrain the usage of packaged goods.

Although, manufacturers and shopkeepers are the prominent authorities who should be held liable in the production of packaged goods, because to attract more customers and earn higher profits they are highly involved in this activity which ultimately causing lot of problems like plastic packaging is a health hazards for our natural habitat, increasing risk of waste material leads deposition of pollutants, exhaustion of natural resources. Besides, government by providing some beneficial schemes and creating awareness can curb this activity.

On the other hand, goods are being produced for the consumption of customers. So, it’s the customers who should be more aware about the harmful impacts of packaged goods and they should take steps to refrain from using such products. Also, if consumers start avoiding these packaged goods then it will affect those companies who are producing the packaged goods and help them change their way of selling goods. For example, in present times, there are quite a number of consumers who are attractive towards banana packaging, recycling of goods, also Vegan products are more prevalent these days, by people who believes in the sustainable development of the world. Hence, it’s the consumers ultimately which could make a difference towards the usage of packaged goods.

Overall, manufacturers & supermarkets as well as customers, both are equally responsible, and by being more aware and restricting its usage overall along with making efforts to stop this practice and help in maintaining the ecological balance.

    Ma’am please evaluate.

In introduction, thesis statement is missing

this activity which ultimately causing lot of problems like plastic packaging is a (one of the serious) health hazards for our natural habitat,

it will affect those companies who (which) are producing the packaged goods

word “goods” could be replaced by : commodities, products

by people who believes (believe) in the sustainable development

Hence, it’s the consumers ultimately which could make a difference towards the usage of packaged goods. (here the word ” ultimately” directing that consumers only can control this practice and hence , it is contradicting the conclusion, which is stating both are equally responsible)

Example in B.P 1, would be appreciated

      Keep writing!!

Nowadays, non-biodegradable packaging of goods has become hazardous for the environment, due to which some people think that manufacturers and supermarket are responsible, while others feels that it is customer’s responsibility to avoid buying excessive packaging goods. I will discuss on both the views in this essay.

On one hand, one has to believe that manufacturers are the main problem because they initiate the excessive packaging which furthers more degrades the environment causing loss of aquatic life, polluting the water bodies like seas, oceans. As the packaging is non-biodegradable it doesn’t decomposes and organisms which eats it eventually die because of blockage in their digestive system. For example in aquatic food chain, turtle eats jelly fish which looks a lot like transparent polyethene which causes death of the organism and causes disbalance in the ecosystem.

On the other hand, people don’t step up, to refuse using of packaging, as many of them don’t know that it is hazardous for the environment or dependent on the government for taking a step.

To stop the manufacturing of packaging goods, people can step up and encourage others not to buy packaging products which will decrease the manufacturing of product’s packaging, or boycotting the products packaged with plastics. Manufacturers can change the packaging at an initial phase and can use biodegradable and recycled eco-friendly packaging so that it doesn’t harm the ecosystem. For example in many states government has taken steps to promote paper bags and to avoid using of plastic bags, by putting fine on people using them.

In a nutshell, I would say that it is the responsibility of both the manufacturers and customers who are buying it, both should be concerned about the environmental damage.

Some individual think that producers and retailers should take responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of product while, others suggest that customers should control it by using less packaging goods only.

Nowadays, manufactures and supermarket attract customers by providing huge packaging on product. But, if we observe neatly they are producing non-eco-friendly goods with a lot of packaging. We all know how much plastic is polluting our country, still some companies make their profit by ignoring all environmental issues. Few years back, when I visited one food based product manufacturing plant, I saw they literally wrapped package 2-3 times to one product only. Manufacturing companies should take responsibility by focusing on maximum one layer packaging on goods.

In the contrary, customers also supporting the product by buying it in vast quantity. If customers refuse to buy over packed product then it will directly affect to the company who is manufacturing the same product and eventually to reduce their losses or to increase their sell, they will plan accordingly by providing less packaging on product. For example, in any supermarket people purchase more than 50% product which are over packed and indirectly it promotes huge packaging product. So, if every individual take responsibility to banned over packed product then it will be huge success on country’s environment.

To summarize, I think the responsibility should be taken by both manufactures and customers to promote eco-friendly product by reducing use of multilayer packaging.

It is believed that product manufacturers and the resellers are obliged to reduce the amount of packaging of goods, the responsibility also lies on the consumers to avoid purchasing items with less covering. I personally believe that the onus lies on the customers to avoid buying goods with lots of packaging.

The raise in technology has led to new industries in the consumer space and thereby increasing the number of products manufactured. These products need to be marketed and sold to the consumers as part of their business. The packaging companies plays a vital role in both developing the brand and increasing the shelf life of a product. The retailers tend to sell the goods with heavy packaging as they are not liable from the regulations either. To give an example, a curd used to be sold in earthen pot some 15 years back, now comes in plastic cans with increased shelf life & preservatives.

When it comes to the consumers, it is a fact that the demand always drives the supply chain. It has become a trend these days for buyers to go for packed items who get influenced with the advertisements in the media and also inclined towards longer expiration products. Contrary to this, many lack responsibility towards the environment and are not concerned to avoid polythene bags while they shop.

In my opinion, I feel the responsibility lies on the customers to avoid packed goods. This is very much valid for products like food and beverages which are normally packed with many preservatives. On the other hand for other products which are heavily packed, it is our moral responsibility to save guard planet earth from these non-degradable products which contaminates the environment. To sum up, it is the consumers who are in the driving seat to solve this issue of packaging.

Most people believe that manufacturers are responsible for the reduction in product packaging while some people disagree with this by voicing that shoppers are liable for overpackaging. Though Makers and consumers are both accountable for the reduce in wrapping, the major charge is with the latter.

Firstly, Makers are the ones who are responsible for producing the goods thereby covering them too. They<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”> should consider the cost these over-bundling levies onto the goods and on the environment. When the packaging consists of different layers of plastics which people cannot even use after consumption of the product goes to waste which in turn loads in the dump completely destroying the environment. Though government has laid severe taxes on using plastics, makers are still using it for their goods without considering the harms it poses to the environment. The major example to this is LAYS potato chips. Many kids consume this chips on a day-to-day basis where the cover ends up in the dumpster. Needless to day the scene that anyone can imagine with lots of lays packets covering the whole dump we all noticed at our neighborhood<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>. Secondly, unless the manufacturer’s give it in an attractive package, some people are not gonna ask for it. Most consumers are only looking at the quality of the food not how it is well covered and presented. Therefore all makers without any variation should agree to go for the same or less wrapping of goods thereby saving their costs and the environment afterall they are the ones paying taxes for it.

Though consumers are aware of the over-packaging yet , they buy the product because they look nice with it. Everything is fine when the packaging is necessary for the product. For example, products such as glass bottle, cosmetics, brittle ones needs careful packaging otherwise they might break during transportation. Moreover, if not handled properly, this might cause a lot of damage to the Processor, whereas for products which certainly doesn’t need much of packaging such as chocolates, biscuits and other luxury items ,comes with a lot of unnecessary wrappers just for the sake of attracting customers. For example, I noticed recently that for Valetine’s day, a chocolate brand made a large chocolate with a lots of outer packaging and notes to make it appealing to the youngsters. The great irony is that the company gained tremendous response to the campaign and the sales pitched high though it had the same chocolate inside a different package. Consumers should be aware that packaging doesn’t really change many things with the product or its taste . On the other hand, consumers should start carrying their own bags to purchase products in order to avoid plastics and its overall usage. This will also help the retailers who will use plastic covers less.

In conclusion, Though makers may be fully responsible for limiting wrappers, I believe that consumers are also liable for it given that they are the ones who are using the end product.

The supermarket and manufacturers versus customers who are responsible for excessive consumption of packing. Manufactures and sellers produce goads as customer demand, whereas consumers buy product which are available to them. In my view, both parties bears equal responsibilities. If unnecessary packing isn’t produce it will not be wasted and consumed and if consumer take conscious decision of not buying those products which has lot packing then producer willn’t manufacture lot of packing.

There is a conflict between two sets of people regarding who is responsible for excessive use of packing in products, they are sellers and manufacturers versus customers. Manufacturers and sellers are creators and consumers buy products eventually which are available to them whereas consumers are the one who influences the supply of products. In my view, both parties bears equal responsibilities. If unnecessary packing isn’t produce it will not be wasted and consumed and if consumer take a conscious decision of not buying those products which involve a lot packing then producer willn’t use lot of packing for there product.

On one hand, sellers and producers are considered accountable for reducing the amount of packing required for selling commodities. Manufactures are the one who are making packing material from scratch, if the material isn’t made than there is no wastage as well. For instance, if goods are sold with the least packing in the market than consumers are left with no option but to buy them. Consequently, it will be beneficial for the environment.

On other hand, consumers are held responsible for buying goods which has a lot of packing. Nowdays, people love all those fancy or extravagant packagings which makes products more desirable. Excessive packing are considered trendy and worthful, as it leaves an impression that the product is of high quality. Consumers are buying without putting much thought as to how these are impacting the environment. Consumers should realize that they are one’s for whom goods are made. If they would buy products mindfully then manufacturers will manufacture goods with least packing.

In conclusion, sellers and consumers have a positive relationship, if demand increases then supply increaseS and if demand decreases then supply decreases. Both of them are wheels of a cycle who can together go long way and missing of one the wheel would disrupt their functioning.

While some people argue that it is the sole responsibility of the producers to decrease the product packaging, others feel that customers should also be incharge of dealing with reducing purchase of goods with excess packaging. This essay will analyse both sides of the argument.

On one hand, companies can play an inevitable role to limit the amount of packaging that they package their products in. One reason for this is because they are at the forefront of the production process. To reduce the production of packaging, companies can make its products into bigger packs. As a result, company is able to reduce cost of production production cost and earn more profit by marketing larger products. Being product distributors, supermarkets are also overusing plastic bags. However, this can be reduced by applying the rules set by the government, which is implementing a fee for plastic bag and using eco -friendly substitutes.

On the other hand, individual customers cannot escape from the responsibility. The consumers are those entities who demand products and the manufacturers are always interested to tune the size, shape, colour, packaging of the products based on the whims and fancies of the customers. Thus being a responsible citizen and keeping in mind the concept of environmental protection, individuals can start demanding these changes in the market.

In conclusion, companies and individuals both need to take responsibility for the amount of packaging that is used to package goods. The government also needs to play a significant role in this issue by policy making and enforcement of those laws into practice.

While some people think its the the responsibility of Manufacturers & Supermarkets to reduce the plastic packaging, while others believe that its every individuals duty to protect environment, curbing the goods with more packaging as much as possible. My opinion personally is, Consumers are more obligated for the same.

Firstly, I feel its every persons responsibility to take a step towards avoiding to buy products with more plastic packaging, For an instance, we can consider packet of biscuits (Parle – G), where in a family pack, you will biscuits packed in separate plastic packets. Consumers buy that because they cannot consume the whole packet in one go, and the plastic wrap saves the eatables to decompose. However, I feel that can be avoided, by buying goods in a quantity as per the need, abstain buying eatable in large quantities.

Secondly, the consumers have developed a habit of not carrying their own bag while going on a shopping, and to value serve them well, stores started providing them a lot of plastic bags to facilitate the delivery. If consumers increase the demand of something, companies or supermarkets will to go to any extent to fulfil that demand, as they generate profit out of it, so its their duty, as a responsible citizen to protect environment and become little aware about these small things to make a big impact.

The companies I feel are taking necessary measure to avoid plastic packaging as much as possible under CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). We can consider the example of mobile manufacturing companies, like Apple or Samsung, nowadays you might have seen the packaging of every mobile is only as big as the mobile fits, and they are not only focusing on reducing the packaging but also trying to the material which eco friendly.

To conclude that, I would like to state, to stop producers & suppliers using the plastic packaging, consumer needs to stop demanding for the same. If the demand of products with more packaging will reduce, the manufacturers will give that a thought.

Nowadays with the increasing awareness of the affects of the pollution, people are of the opinion that the manufacturers and Supermarkets need to take responsibility of reducing the large package of goods. On the other hand, there are some who believe that the customers need to be very conscious. I strong believe that the customers need to be vigilant and concern towards the environment.

The establishments and the manufactures always want to attract the customers and hence they generate the products with the glossy, shiny and extra baggage. Although there would be restrictions from the concerned authorities on the packages, the establishments will always look for profits and are not concerned with the side-effects. Being aware of the hazardous effects, the customers have huge responsibility in avoiding the goods with the huge packaging, for example they can go with the products which are of less package.

To conclude, the responsibility should go hand in hand from both the customers and enterprises in maintaining the equilibrium of the eco system.

According to some, manufacturers and supermarkets are responsible for reducing the amount of plastic wrapping used to package goods, while others argue that consumers should avoid purchasing goods bundled excessively. Personally, I believe that the obligation should be placed on customers to avoid purchasing goods that come in a lot of packaging.

On the one hand, Excessive packaging of goods is the responsibility of producers and sellers. One reason for this is to ensure the goods’ hygiene and lifespan. For instance, perishable items such as fruits are extensively wrapped to maintain their freshness, even though in the past, when packaging was not as sophisticated, items and things also maintained a high level of quality qnd The primary factor that retailers and manufacturers bear responsibility is that many consumers are unaware of the dangerous effects of the packing materials used As a result, they are more likely to acquire what the marketers are selling, so jeopardising their health. Manufacturers and retailers should always aim to use recyclable, biodegradable packaging to maintain a consistent amount of packing without jeopardising anyone’s health.

Individuals, on the other hand, have a responsibility to safeguard the environment from further degradation and pollution by limiting their usage of non-biodegradable products. By boycotting items from companies that are not ecologically responsible, consumers can exert pressure on these corporations to change their stance on the packaging materials they employ. As a result, businesses will be compelled to practise greater environmental stewardship by altering and lowering product packaging. Consumers have the power to effect change, but they must act collectively to do so.

Inconclusion, While there is no arguing that the invention of packing material has had a detrimental effect on many lives rather than a beneficial one, the only rational approach to convince supermarkets and manufactures to modify their packaging policy is to apply consumer pressure to their bottom lines. If buyers make a concerted effort to avoid heavily packed products in favour of more environmentally friendly alternatives, this will result in a paradigm shift about the environmental impact of plastics.

In this era, businesses and consumers influenced by the new innovative technology which create a major impact on the eco system. It is considered by some people, minimize the wrapper on the product is the duty of manufacturers & supermarkets while there are others who think, customers should accept the items in the normal package. I reckon, it is liability of both parties to take necessary action towards to solve the packaging problems. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I shall discuss both views with examples.

Generally, industrialist look forward to grow their business in any cost, so the marketing team always interested to know the taste of the consumers and they develop plan to make attractive item which has power to engaged the buyers. For instance, the packet of chip which is wrapped by the large paper ware but it contains small amount of quantity, if they use cheap quality of cover then it might be effect on the sell. So, it becomes mandatory for them to prepare well looking stock to trade.

At the other hand, there is customer demand to buy fair items because people determine fascinating products from glance point of view instead of quality. i.e., young generation stare the dairy milk chocolate which is made by Cadbury, because it is wrapped inside the golden paper with beautiful pictures otherwise the test is not worth of the price. So, due to the trend of show off, individually don’t accept the poor packaging.

There are number of solutions if it is accepted by the human kind to solve this issue such as item should be packing with the eco-friendly materials which help to save the trees and environment.

On balance, make change in the society is not responsibility of one but it can happen through to take initiative by everyone in the nation.
