    Dear Mr.Stewart,

I am writing this letter about my admission to the summer batch of tennis course. I have some concerns to convey regarding the same.

The primary reason for my interest in the course is that I am a sports aficionado and really want to get underway with tennis. But I couldn’t get hold of a suitable course until I came across the advertisement for your course. It was a laborious process to sketch out a plan and make room for the course in my busy schedule. I could finally fish out some time for the practice.

I was ready to take the plunge when things changed course. My wife is a medical practitioner and she needs to travel next month for a 6-week medical camp. The camp was decided to be held later this year, so I hoped to complete the course by that time. But now I need to take care of our children while she’s away and manage my full-time job as well. This means that I would not be able to complete the course if I join this month.

Due to the unprecedented shift in circumstances, I would like to withdraw my admission to the course. I have paid the course fee in advance; hence I would like to know about the possibility of a refund. I hope the refund would not be an issue as the course has not commenced yet. I am expecting a positive response to my concern.

    Best Regards,

    Athira Nair

    Dear Sir,

I am Marina Greene, the Software Development (DevOps) freshman student whom you met this morning. As I have been asked, this letter is intended to tell you something about myself.

I recently moved to the city for the course and I’m living with my aunt, two streets down North Avenue. My aunt’s Cecilia Greene and will be my local guardian. You can contact her for any requirements that need parental involvement.

I have a bachelor’s degree in computer science – with a DevOps specialization from Liverpool John Moores University, UK. All of my schoolings were back in my hometown, North Yorkshire, England. I have signed up to work part-time in a book store near the college, where I work 4 hours all weekdays after college.

I have chosen this course due to my zeal for DevOps. I strongly believe that DevOps practices need to reach all fields of software development. It has the potential to bring a major transformation to the way IT projects work. I am enthusiastic to dive deeper into the field with this course.

I hope that our time here would enrich my knowledge of the key concepts. I am also mindful of my duties as a student. It was a pleasure meeting you today.

    Thanks,

    Marina

I believe it is extremely important for our upcoming generation to be well trained in survival skills. Given the times we are in, all that matters is to know how to keep us going. It applies to all humans irrespective of any factors which divide us.

A significant lesson that the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us is that it doesn’t differentiate between lines of division like gender, caste, or race. We have been forcefully confined to nuclear spaces and every individual has been restricted in one form or the other from having a normal life. Every individual needs to be armed with survival skills now more than ever.

In countries like India, the essential chores of the house like cooking and cleaning are done by the women of the house. While it may seem like the men are being pampered, but the truth is that they are the ones at loss. Since the habit of taking care of oneself without depending on another is not inculcated at an early stage, they struggle like fish out of water when hit by circumstances like a pandemic.

Children must imbibe the skills of survival at an early phase of their development. If they are left to fend for themselves, they should be ready to handle the situation. Apart from essential daily chores, it is also important for our teens to be equipped with skills of saving the other during a situation of emergency. Some life-saving skills like giving CPR or first aid need training from a professional and it’s upon us to give them such exposure.

In a nutshell, the importance of training our teens with survival skills cannot be emphasized enough. The world would become a better place with our teams all set to face unforeseen times. There needs to be a sense of compassion to help the other too. We should realize that the opportunity to make even a small difference to a person’s life isn’t available to everybody.

First of all, the airport is about 25km from this region and hence you will have to travel that far to reach here. Don’t worry, I will arrange for your transit and also the accommodation here. Please do tell me if there are any specific requirements for your stay here. Since the area is popular among tourists, there are a plethora of options to stay. To name a few, we have hotels, homestays, resorts, and cottages. Do let me know of your preference.

Once we meet I will elaborate on the places to visit, the major attractions and the famous delicacies you should try here. Another important thing to know is that winter is around the corner here. We have chilly mornings and cool nights, also dry and warm days. So please arrange for your essentials accordingly.
