The bar chart illustrates the expenditure of consumer goods in France and UK in the year 2010 . This information is measured in pounds.

Overall, UK spent more money on consumer goods when compared to France. There is more expenditure spent on cars and lesser money on perfumes followed by mid-range level of expenditure on other things like books, cameras and computers over the given period.

In details, UK spent 450.000 pounds and France spent only 400.00 pounds on cars. France expenditure on computers is almost near to their expenditure spent on Cars, but whereas UK slightly was able to control their money for computer. Further more than 400.000 pounds expenditure for UK was spent to books. On the other hand, France only used 300.000 pounds. France cost 150.000 pounds for camera and UK cost more, it was more than 350.000 pounds. On perfumes, UK cost less than France and the total expenditure spent on perfumes is very lesser when compared to others.

Nowadays environmental issues have became major concern.Natural resources like Plants and animal species are badly being affected by some of the human activities like cutting trees, water pollution, occupying forest lands. This made some people to think that this problem is irreversible and might not have any solution to resolve it. However, I believe that it is never too late to start taking measures for improving this situation.

On one hand, some people believe that this problem cannot be solved because the negative effects that people have made are not reversible. Some of the human activities like deforestation, global warming ,ozone layer depletion caused extinction of rare species of plants and animals.Due to these environmental issues, few of the species both from plants and animals cannot grow back again even after taking several measures. This made to feel the action cannot be irreversible.

On the other hand, some people believe that it is never too late to do something to save the environment. It is well known fact that there is huge damage environment but that doesn’t mean people keep on damaging the world. There need to be certain measures taken to save the environment. We can plant more trees where there is deforestation happening, there can be measures to save the species which are about to extinct, we can control greenhouse gases as it affects the ozone layer. Such measures help to save the damage done to plant and animal species.

To conclude, however how much damage has been done to the environment by human activities, there can always be some measures taken to save the planet. People need to take care about their activities and keep in concern the damage being done to the environment.

Nowadays some local languages are rarely seen anywhere. They became extinct in the world because people prefer to speak the international languages rather than their mother tongues. In this essay let us discuss on both advantages and disadvantages on local language being extinct.

To begin with, a language is not just a group of spoken words but it acts like a key to our culture and society. It was evolved over thousands of years. For example, few languages like Telugu andTamil have one of the wide range of vocabularies in the world and reflects the tradition of country culture and society. But in this current generation global language is considered to have more prominence than local language. For example in schools and colleges English language is considered as first language and then comes other languages.English is also considered as professional or global language which is being used everywhere in education and business as well. Since this being incorporated everywhere, it has become mandatory to learn global language.Adopting to Global language helps youngsters to build confidence and compete enormously with the pupils all over the world. Nowadays parents are insisting children and youngsters to speak global language like English , German at home also in-order to gain more grip over language reading and speaking skills.Hence getting adopted or learning global language over local language help pupils to compete all over the world.

However, there are also some drawbacks in getting adopted to these global languages. Mother tongue plays a vital role in child’s comprehensive development. Being fluent in the native language, benefits the child in numerous ways. It associates child to his culture, ensures enhanced development. The most distinctive disadvantage is that local languages connect people with the traditions and culture of nations. For example, folk songs in marriages, festivals and functions are generally sung in local languages. Therefore, the extinction of these languages results in adverse effects on the cultural heritage of the communities. Also it can impact the interaction with older generations.Generally people from older generation prefer to speak in mother tongue or native languages, but the younger generations are not keen on these languages. Consequently, it may reduce family interactions.Further youngsters are completely loosing grip on their native tongue because of excessive usage of global language everywhere. If this continues ,I believe after a decade or more there would be no surprise to see the percentage of volume speaking native language will get diminished or vanished.

In conclusion, the extinction of local languages, has the potential benefits and as well as drawbacks. In my opinion both the languages should be given equal importance to sustain better in both education and culture.

    April 13, 2022 at 3:02 PM in reply to: TASK 2[OPINION BASED]COMMUNICATION

The given statement clearly states that communication through text messaging and other instant forms of online communication are small and basic way. This has lead some people to think that it is not being used in proper format causing the death of grammar and spellings. According to me, this has got both merits and demerits. In upcoming paragraphs I shall elaborate my opinion on positive side and negative side as well.

To start with, the positive side of Online communication is time saving and comfortable way of approach. Nowadays, internet has become global means of communication in our everyday lives and on top it technology also added together and this has made made online platform popular and much easier way to perform communication. This has connected people from all corners of the world together. The main positive aspect is it is time effective and cost effective. For example, during our busy schedule usually we do not have leisure time to travel for long distance to meet our close ones. Hence, during this time we can do online conversation via texting and video calls, attending conference’s right away without much efforts. This will ultimately makes our life simpler by saving lot of time.Recently usage of online platform has became very important during lockdown situation where almost every profession has used online platform for basic and official communication.

On other side, there are few reasons which shows that online conversation has negative sides. People started communicating using online platform in much easier way by making the conversation too simple, small and very basic type.In this aspect they forgot to think of language significance, grammar, spellings and many more standard rules. Thus communication via online and text messaging has made people to forgot exact format of English and standard way of making sentences. In future this will cause damage to

To conclude, I fell like online communication represent both the positive and negative aspects. Because, on one side, this becomes source cost and time effective, on other side language is getting screwed in many ways.

April 12, 2022 at 9:26 PM in reply to: TASK 2[OPINION BASED TOPIC]International Aid

International aid is a transfer of goods or services from one country to another. Most of the people think that Country should not spend money on International aid, because there are homelessness and disadvantaged people in their own country but I ,absolutely believe that every government must help other countries who are in need of resources due to their poor economical status or whatsoever reasons. In upcoming paragraphs I shall explain why countries should help or spend money on International aid.

To begin with ,International aid can bring a numerous benefits. Nowadays many countries like United States and India are spending more money on this. It is because every country will have some difficult moments , like affected due to natural disasters, war or extremely serious accidents. These problems will cost a numerous amount of loss like resources shortage or money which may be not affordable. If we help them with the required resources and money, the country would break through the hard times and can sustain back.

International aid not only contributes on resources, money and food , it also provide military/army assistance during war or serious accidents caused by natural disasters.

Further ,the receiving country will remember the kind of support they got and in turn, they will maintain good relation ship and provides assistance during hard times. This will enhances country-to-country relationships, economic standards between them.Although there are some homeless and unemployed who need money or support by local government ,we still should carry out international aid because it can contribute to the improvement of local economy in trade marketing and thus improving our country’s economy. When economy become better and better, there would be more job opportunities to offer to the local people, therefore, the unemployed would in turn gain a job and the homelessness would vanish one day.

To sum up, I believe that all countries should help by providing international aid after looking at numerous benefits even if they themselves have difficulties with unemployment and homelessness.

The line graph illustrates the quantities of goods transported in UK between 1974 and 2002 by Road, Water, Rail and Pipeline modes. The quantity is indicated in million tones.

Overall, the maximum goods were transported by road. The transportation of good by road was consistent and could see stable increase as compared to others. Transportation of goods over Pipeline mode seems to be less preferred during the given periods.

In 1974, around 70 million tones of goods were transported by road. There were fluctuations between 1974 to 1982 and later there was steady increase till 2002 and the supply reached close to 100 million tonnes in 2002 by Road.

Water and railways transported about 40 million tonnes of goods in 1974 and that quantity remained more or less the same over the next four years. There was decline by railways for eight years starting from 1978 whereas the waterways mode showed significant increase. Maximum amount of goods transfer happened in 2002 by Waterway and Rail and the number stands at 60 million and 40 million tonnes respectively.

Transfer by Pipeline mode showed steep increase from 1974 to 1982 and consistently around 20 million goods were transferred by this mode every year till 2002.
