It has been a majoritarian belief that capital punishment leads to impeccable public safety and reduces violent crimes. This essay strongly disagrees with this notion and provides supporting facts and theories to disprove this belief. Historical research and criminology studies tell us that the amount of wrongful convictions for the death penalty as a result of lousy investigations is still a prevalent issue. Additionally, the inhumane measures of exonerating culprits can never be justified.

Wrongful convictions, in other words, death to the innocent, amount to no less than cold-blooded murder. The study of crime and investigation has proved that there have been numerous cases in different countries where an innocent person is being convicted for the death penalty due to inefficient evidence or inconclusive investigations. For instance, in the pre-DNA era, a lot of people were convicted purely based on circumstantial evidence and it is only after DNA evidence was put to test they were posthumously pronounced not guilty. In many cases, DNA evidence is not even retested since the person is long gone and no one is left to fight for their innocence. Even with modern-day DNA technology, there is always a margin of error that could wrongfully convict someone of something they did not commit and there is no bigger crime than that.

Modern-day measures of inducing the death penalties such as lethal injection, electrocution chair, or hanging are no way a person should seek death. Being in a powerful position does not give us the right to kill someone that too in an inhumane manner. In a study conducted by the Criminology depart of MIT University, it was noted that in certain cases the standard dose of lethal injection does not kill the convict and as a result, the dosage needs to be increased. This only prolongs the death and as a result, the person is kept under insufferable circumstances for hours until they are dead. This kind of methodology is unimaginable and cruel and no one should undergo such treatment.

In conclusion, I stand by my stance that the death penalty leads to no good and should be abolished. It does not leave a scope of rehabilitation to the convict who may have a chance of living a meaningful life in prison. Life imprisonment can be the only alternative to Capital punishment. As human beings, we have the right to live in dignity and also die with dignity.

    Dear Sir,

I have been a loyal customer of your broadband company for the past few years. Unfortunately, after your company installed the new fiber optics cable in my area, the internet connection is not the same anymore. Due to this, I along with many other people are facing major connectivity issues with the internet.

It is with a heavy heart that I express my dissatisfaction with the internet service provided by your company recently as I have always held your company in great regard. You always put your customer’s feedback first and provided prompt solutions and due to this, you have also earned many well-deserved word-of-mouth recommendations. However, the issues experienced after the newly transformed fiber optics cable was installed in our area, we have submitted numerous complaints to your department but to no avail. The internet keeps fluctuating on daily basis making it extremely difficult to sustain a stable connection. After discussions with the society members, we concluded that it is not a one-off house as the entire community is affected.

Lastly, on behalf of the people of our area, I request you to consider this issue as the uttermost priority and send a support team over to evaluate the cause of the signal drop. Meanwhile, I would also like to suggest installing wireless routers throughout the area until the broadband issue is resolved as this will help resume day-to-day tasks that need internet for everyone affected. I hope our request will be considered carefully and promptly.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Yours faithfully

With the extravagant lifestyle, one experiences living in a large metro city, there are also challenges such as dealing with day-to-day traffic congestion and spending hours of your morning waiting to reach your destination. The population that a city attracts each year is one of the prominent causes of the traffic issues. There are also some reasonable solutions such as increasing remote work opportunities that can help remediate these causes.

Every year, a large chunk of the population moves to a large city, in the hope of living a fast-paced lifestyle with access to all the major facilities, however, in most cases, these cities are not developed to deal with the increased migration demands and are often left with an old infrastructure resulting in cramped highways, crowed roads. This leads to one of the biggest problems that one faces in a city – traffic congestion. Career advancements, modern lifestyle, and educational institutions are some of the major reasons that pull people towards a major city. Additionally, it is no less than a dream for any grown adult to own their personal vehicle. However, this dream can be costly when it comes to living in a major city as a large population also means large vehicle consumption every day.

While it may seem that there are no practical solutions to traffic issues, it might not always be the case. There are many plausible examples across the globe where major cities reduced their traffic issues significantly with innovative planning. For instance, London started offering toll incentives for vehicles that promote carpooling – carrying more than one passenger. A survey proved this approach to be efficient as the traffic was reduced by 30% in the first month of the implementation and showed that people definitely valued discounts on heavy toll prices. Another successful example was seen in San Francisco, US, where many companies offered permanent work-from-home opportunities during the pandemic. The by-product of this perk also proved to be efficient in reducing the traffic significantly.

In conclusion, while the problems that arise from growing traffic in many major cities seem inevitable, there are also many practical approaches that when implemented with proper planning can definitely help overcome the issues. However, it is something that has to be thought upon carefully and planned according to the demands and needs specific to the city.

    Dear Sir,

    Greetings of the day!

I can not begin to express my gratitude to you for lending me the book. It definitely proved to be a great asset in completing my research work in time. I was able to navigate through it with great ease and the reference it provided was a tremendous help. The book had everything I was looking for in order to connect the dots for our annual research project.

I understand you were expecting me to return the book yesterday, however, due to unforeseen weather conditions I was not able to travel to the college. I would like to visit your office tomorrow. Before that, I wanted to check with you whether you will be available. If not, would it be okay for me to return it to your assistant?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks again!

While there is one group of people who are of the opinion that the experience of studying at a University or a College is unmatched and plays a significant role in one’s professional development, there are also people on the other end of the spectrum who maintains that opting for a Job immediately after the School is the right way to go. In my opinion, a University education is definitely worth every penny you spend on it.

Universities have become an integral role in a person’s professional development as it provides an ideal roadmap to achieving a successful career. Furthermore, the years of experience of the esteemed professors as well as an abundance of resources available in the colleges can never be obtained anywhere else. Undoubtedly, it also helps in getting a well-paying dream job given the availability of a vast alumni network and a reputable University name. However, one has to pay a costly price for it.

While the majority of the group might agree on the value of a University education, the other mass chooses to opt for a job after finishing high school right away. There are a number of good reasons why someone would choose this path. Firstly, the financial independence as well as hands-on experience one gains by working directly after school is unparalleled. History has witnessed that great minds such as Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg who were college dropouts realized the importance of working directly instead of completing their degrees. If you are firm about what direction you see your career in, you do not need a college to figure it out.

In conclusion, I would like to speak from personal experience, University education, no matter how costly, is definitely worth your time and money. Not everybody is street smart in figuring out what they want to pursue after high school and sometimes you need the experience and mentorship of professors as well as like-mined people to figure out how you want to shape your career.
