I am writing this letter to inform about the unfortunate loss of my new Apple Macbook, during my recent visit to New York, which was covered by a travel insurance policy, issued by your company vide policy number 1234.
I had recently bought this Silver coloured, Zebra print, limited edition Macbook, with 258 GB ram and high resolution multifocal camera, for 9999 USD, which I was carrying during my trip from New Delhi to New York last week to stay connected with my workplace.
I vividly remember that the Macbook was in my left hand, on Friday morning when my friend and I, went to the backpackers cafe near the exit point for coffee after deplaning. Thereafter, we boarded the taxi, which arrived minutes after, chauffeuring us to Hotel Marina, Central New York, where after checkin I realised that the Macbook was missing. Perhaps, it was stolen during our brief wait at the airport cafe.
I would be grateful, if you could honour this claim under the aforementioned policy by releasing 100 percent amount as replacement cost for the Macbook at the earliest.
I await your prompt and positive reply in the matter.
Yours faithfully,
Jim Carrey

I am writing this letter to inform you that I have lost my watch when I went to Shimla trip with my family to celebrate Christmas and New year. Luckily I renewed its insurance before heading to trip.
I have lost my digital watch of Apple brand with series 6. It has GPS and cellular enabled. It’s diameter is 44mm along with long blue strap. It was gifted by my wife on 10th anniversary. It has some health along with office related folders and applications. It also has some personal details like photo, activity records.
As I remember I had dinner over there in a top-notch restaurant’s terrace but that time it was with me. I left to my hotel and on the way their was rukus and that road was fully packed. It might be I have lost it there.
As I was precious to me and new in brand and it was covered in travel insurance and personal accidental and damage insurance with your company only. For your reference I am attaching police complain report and invoice, insurance copy along filling claim form.
I am looking forward to receive full amount.
Thanks

use comma after dear sir/madam
first of all, stick to the structure of the letter, it should only have one intro paragraph(containing opening line followed by paraphrased topic statement/purpose of writing letter), followed by three body paragraphs, describing the bullet points, one closing line at the end, that’s it. pls follow this format only or else you lose marks for coherence.
The details about the lost product are more than needed, dont forget that only 150 words are required, writing more than that doesnt cost you score but time. and trust me, 1 hour is less to complete both tasks, if you dont plan. remember, every extra word is costing you time that you require to complete task 2.
there are several grammatical errors apart from structure
you need to be specific about place, time, date of the stolen thing.
use punctuations where required, they carry marks.
dont use thanks
you have already written closing line, after which only yours faithfully, and first and last name is required in formal letter
-

Deleted UserJune 18, 2021 at 1:04 PMSo it mean, only need to write 3 paragraph.
1st about topic intro like concern
2nd – issue/discussion/ description
3- final suggestion/ solution/ any feedback type
Am I understanding it correctly?
-
No sir, every type of letter have to follow same structure, just follow this structure. 2,3,4 body paragraphs are just the elaboration of bullet points mentioned in topic. They can be about anything.
Dear sir/madam, – formal
Dear Mr/mrs first name, – in semi formal
Dear first name, – in informal
Opening line depending on types of letter, followed by purpose of writing the letter.
Bullet point 1 expansion…………….
Bullet point 2 expansion…………..
Bullet point 3 expansion……….
Closing line depending on type of letter.
Your faithfully,
First name last name
– in formal
Yours sincerely,
First name last name
– in semi formal
Take care/love/miss you/regards,
Fist name only
– in informal
And it is advised to use few abbreviations/contractions (not in every place, unlike informal) etc/eg/ie/i’ve/i’ll, i’m, she’ll, he’ll, wouldn’t, can’t and so on… in semi formal. And use contractions wherever possible in informal. But never use them

I am writing this letter to inform you about the lost laptop I received at the time of joining the organization.
It was a black colored Dell laptop with processor core i5 8th generation and was placed in a blue colored wildcraft bag. The bag had company, s name written on it.
I lost it when I was travelling back from my hometown. I was at Delhi airport and it was in my backpack. I believe while checking in my luggage at the baggage counter, I kept it at a nearby table and forgot to pick it up before leaving to board my flight. By the time I realized my backpack is missing I was ready to take off.
Though I lost the laptop at a public place, but it is covered under insurance by company and would like to claim for it. I was wondering if you would be able to help me out with the necessary details about how I can claim for the lost laptop.
Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience.
Please respond at the earliest convenience.
Yours sincerely,
Pooja Singh.

secondly, pay heed to task response, read the topic question carefully and write only what is asked in topic. you cannot be wondering if the person you are writing to will help you or not. the question is clearly telling you to tell the manager, what you want him to do, you cant be unsure.
the paragraph where you are telling how you lost the laptop, its very confusing. if you were travelling back from hometown and you were at delhi, then why did you again checked in your luggage and boarded the plan.
you dont have to apologise for a claim or complaint letter unless it’s an apology letter.
yours faithfully, would come in the end not yours sincerely.
first and last name are rightly written

I am writing this letter to inform you that I have lost my phone during my recent visit to London that is covered under the travel insurance under your reputed company with policy number 12345.
My husband gifted that Samsung Note 10 phone on my birthday last year and is really special for me. It has 32 GB RAM with 45 Mega pixel back camera and 30 mega pixel front camera with a special feature of voice modulation.
I remember that I saw it last when I was attending my convocation day in Coventry University, UK. As I still remember, we clicked lots of photos from my phone on that special day. I think, I might lost it when I was travelling back hotel from University.
I would be extremely thankful to you if you could reimburse at least 60% of its cost as I have only used it for 7 months. I am also attaching its invoice copy for your reference. Please share if any documentation or form needs to be filled from my side to speed up the process.
Thanks for your time and await your prompt response.

I am writing this letter to inform you that I lost my Samsung galaxy phone during a family trip to new jersey which is black in color with the specification of 256gb ram / 2.5 processor / 5.5 inches screen which is also covered by the extended insurance amenity given by company.
While travelling back to the airport I stopped mid-way to get a coffee and I did the payment with the same phone but when I reached to the airport I realized phone was not there with me it seems I lost it either in cab or in the coffee shop .
I enquired with the coffee shop and the cab service company but didn’t get any lead about it since it’s a 6 month old phone so it comes under the extended insurance which covers the full value of the phone in case of accidental loss of the item .
The insurance agreement’s clause-6B states that the full value of the phone will be reimbursed in case of loss of item within one year of purchase henceforth please do the needful to expedite the procedure for recovering the amount of the phone.
Yours faithfully,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I have lost my new iPhone12, during my recent holiday trip to Pondicherry and would like to claim insurance for the lost item. I have availed of your insurance service recently and my insurance number is 23564780.
It was an Apple iPhone 12 with 128 GB, blue coloured, latest version and limited edition, dual 12 mp camera system with ultra-wide and wide angles. It costs me around 85000.
The incident occurred in the airport when I was travelling from Chennai to Pondicherry last week. I went to the cafe named Chennai specials near the boarding point to have coffee. While having coffee I kept my phone on the table I got the announcement of boarding and left the cafe. Then after I boarded the plane there I got realised that I forgot my phone on the coffee table. It was one hour journey from Chennai to Pondicherry, therefore I returned immediately to Chennai. However, I haven’t got my mobile. I have filed an FIR in the nearest police station to the airport and the FIR registration number is 3456768.
I would be grateful If you consider this request and initiate the process of claiming at the earliest convinience. Hoping to get released the full amount of my mobile phone as mentioned in the policy.
I look forward to getting a positive reply from you.

I’m writing to bring to your attention that I’ve lost my Jet black color iPhone 7plus placed in a floral print iPhone case cover at the IGI airport, Delhi in the morning at 7:00am which was insured by your company under travel insurance policy whose policy number is #xyz123.
I had recently purchased this phone from Khan market, Delhi for 1000$ whose configurations are 256 GB memory, processor Quad core & camera pixels 17 megapixel.
I still remember that I’ve taken out my phone from the purse at the time of check-in & it was there in my hand till the security check. While boarding the flight I found that my phone was missing & searched in nearby places but couldn’t able to find it. There is high probability that it might have slipped from my hands at the time of boarding.
I would be grateful if you would consider my request for the reimbursement the amount of the lost property under the captioned policy number.
Your quick response would be highly appreciable.

The mobile phone I lost is a new Iphone 12 plus which was launched by Apple last December with. I had purchased it last month for $1300 USD with taxes and It came with a Rick and Morty themed case.

I am writing to you regarding the laptop that I lost on my last holiday trip to France that was covered by the travel insurance I had for the same trip.
The laptop is a 13 inch MacBook pro silver color with red cover in a black backpack. It has 550 Gp storage and 8 Gp RAM and the charging cable was in the same bag. On the cover there is a picture of a gray horse sticked to it with some glittery stones.
I probably lost it in the airport when I was checking my luggage near the gate number 6. I was helping my kids to carry their bags and put my backpack on the seat in the waiting area. We were late for our connecting flight, so I had to harry up and run to reach gate number 3A. When I got on the plane, I realized that I forgot my laptop and started looking for it.
I would be grateful if you can consider my request to reimburse the value of my lost laptop according to the travel insurance policy contract that I had with your company.
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Feedback:
The introduction to the letter is appropriate and the purpose of the letter is clear. Fully addresses all parts of the task. Paragraphing is skilfully managed. Ideas are arranged in a logical order. The points are not always linked together well and punctuation is sometimes faulty. The sentences are kept quite simple and mistakes occur as soon as more complex structures are attempted. The lexical resource could have been improved.
You will further improve with practice.

I am writing to let you know that I have recently lost my mobile phone on my vacation last week. I have opted travel insurance from your company, and would like to claim the cost of my lost phone.
I had been on a trip to Singapore last week, where I had taken along my Apple iPhone 12 pro max. I had purchased it for INR 90,000, just the week before my vacation, hence it is brand new. The color of the phone is steel grey and I have also equipped it with a mobile cover worth INR 5000, to prevent accidental damage.
I lost the phone when I was having dinner at a restaurant on the last day of my trip. I am not sure if it was missed or have been stolen. I immediately informed the restaurant manager , but it could not be found.
Since I have included my mobile phone in the insurance cover, I am entitled to ask for a refund on the lost item. I would be grateful if you could let me know the process and the documents which are to be submitted to facilitate the claim.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.

I am writing this letter to inform you that I went to London for an International Conference to publish my paper on Monday. While returning to India on Friday I found my Mac Book Pro was missing. I could not recollect where I missed. I am having travel insurance which can cover the cost of any lost.

Till the conference ends I was using it for further proceedings in the conference. After the conference I checked my flight details using my Mac in the London airport. I think the Mac might have get lost in the flight cabin.
I have travel insurance coverage for the product which I lost. Can you please suggest me how to apply for the insurance? It would be grateful if you send the information regarding the insurance coverage.

I am writing to you to express my grave dissatisfaction at the way my application for insurance reimbursement has been discarded with out 2 blinks by your field officer. I had lost my 2 baggages carrying my personal belongings worth Rs. 25000 during my vacation trip to Missouri. The attitude of your field officer smacks arrogance and deserves severe admonition.
Coming to the main point, you have made me pay through my nose for the travel nsurance which loudly proclaims to cover everything from salt to sugar lost on trip without any question. You will be able to imagine how much wretched I feel on treatement meted to me by declining my polite request for this modest compensation. If I had known that you are not allowing any claim below Rs. 1,00,00, I would have never come within 100kms of your office to take insurance.
I wont let go of this matter easily as you have hoodwinked me and many other customer with misleading ads, hidden charges and ambigous terms and conditions. Do keep waiting for the ring of ombudsman of consumer affairs at your door step.
Hopefully i will never have to come across any officer of your company again.
With no warm Regards
A disgruntled and hoodwinked customer

Rajesh this was not actually a complaint letter. The question is only mentioning that you lost an item and fortunately you have to travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
You are just supposed to describe the three bullet points mentioned in the question itself. You did not mention any of the points in your letter. You did not describe the appearance of your baggage. You did not describe how you lost it and also you did not tell what the insurance company needs to do in order to give you the reimbursement for the same..
As far as the language, grammatical accuracy and lexical resources are concerned, it is a pretty well written complaint letter, however this is not the task that was assigned. So task achievement will take away all the points.

I am writing this letter with regard to my lost airpods that I lost on my recent trip to Dubai, which was insured by your company.
I bought my airpods last year in December from Imagine store, Sector-17, Chandigarh. My airpods were white in colour and could be connected easily with Bluetooth. airpods were in the airpods – case. My cover case was a minion case cover, coloured yellow and blue. It also had my name engraved on the body of the airpods case.
The time I last saw it was when I was having dinner with my family at ‘The Marine’, near Burj Khalifa. Afterwards we took a cab to the airport. After boarding the flight, I realized that my airpods are missing and I started searching of it. But unfortunately, I was unable to find them. I might have mistakenly left it at The Marine.
I would be very grateful if you would reimburse my amount for the airpods. If there is anything required from my end please let me know.
Looking forward to an early response on this.

I am writing this letter to inform you with regard to the laptop backpack that I lost last week and expecting insurance amount as per the insurance norms.
My backpack consists of a Dell Inspiron laptop which is black in colour, it has a storage capacity of 100 GB. Besides, we can make out the laptop easily by the unique river theme wallpaper on the laptop.
I may have lost it while was submitting my boarding pass. I had turned hasty and as a result, hurried up and got on to the flight. Later did I realize that I missed it.
I would appreciate it if you would provide insurance amount as per the company’s norms.
Looking forward to your reply.

Perfect in terms of the structure. You describe all the bullet points properly but you could have you some cohesive devices to make the sentence is a little more complicated since there was opportunity. Other than that no complaints

I am writing this letter with regard to the Iphone mobile I lost last Friday when I was in Ladakh trip with my friends which was insured by your company.
The product which I lost was Iphone 11 which was of white in color, brand was Apple having 64 GB memory storage capacity. The phone had no password so it’s very easy to format it. Additionally, there was a back cover where my photo was pasted.
Furthermore, I would like to mention that I lost the phone in a restaurant, where I kept my jacket behind the chair I sat and then forgot to take it back when I was leaving after taking the meal. I returned back after 30 mins and unfortunately it was not their.
Thus, I would be grateful if you could process the insured amount of my mobile phone for which I had taken the insurance. It was insured on the same day when I bought the phone, 6 months back i.e. 4th Nov’21. Moreover I would like to mention that the insurance recovery date is still 5 months to go so it is under the policy that I can claim until 11 month from the date of insurance taken.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
ABC XYZ

I am writing this letter with regard to the mobile phone that i lost during my business trip to Delhi which was covered as part of your company’s travel insurance.
This is a 10 inch Lenovo mobile phone, grey in colour, and covered with a red silicon case. I lost my phone while onboarding the passenger train from platform 3. I remember it was inside my handbag prior to taking the platform ticket, and found it missing as soon as i entered into the train . Therefore, I believe that somebody in the queue has stolen my phone.
I would be grateful if you could reimburse the eligible amount for my phone. Please let me know if any further information or action required from my end.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Janani

I am writing to bring to your attention the camera that I lost on my recent vacation to Switzerland that was covered by the travel insurance I signed for.
The model of the camera is Canon EOS 80D Digital SLR which also had a USM lens kit in the bag. It is black in color and weighs around 1.7 kgs, contains features of 24.1-megapixel + 4K video recording, the outer surface of the camera pouch has spiderman print.
I remember checking the photographs while I was waiting in the lounge, later I bought coffee from the cafeteria and placed it on the next seat to mine, I am very meticulous when it comes to my camera since it cost me a fortune. But once I heard the boarding announcement, I left the place. Only after boarding the flight, I noticed it missing, however, within few hours my brother reached the airport and complained to the security about it, by then it was stolen.
I would like you to expedite the claim process and compensate me as soon as possible to the linked bank account. Attached are an original receipt and a copy of the police complaint filed. Please let me know at the earliest if you require anything else from me.
I await your prompt service.Yours faithfully
Mithusha S

I am writing this letter with regard to my lost phone, Samsung s10 which was covered by travel insurance that i need to claim.
I recently bought Samsung galaxy s10, black colored mobile which is having features of 124GB internal storage and 34Gb Ram processor of limited edition. It has many personal credentials and passwords stored in it.
As i remember, when i was going to visit my parents in Chennai on the train, Kanyakumari express on 10th Oct 2021, i missed my mobile phone. During my travel, there was huge crowd due to Diwali holidays. When i went to get food through door steps, i kept my mobile in handbag along with wallet and few personal identity cards. Later while searching over it, i came to know that it has been stolen by the train vendors.
Though i lost my mobile in public place, i l would like to inform you that it is covered under travel insurance policy and requesting for reimbursement of the stolen mobile.
I am enclosing the claim form and supporting documents of mobile details along with letter. Kindly let me know if any other information or action needed from me.Looking forward for the early response.
Yours faithfully,
Devi G.

Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I lost my iPhone worth 1300 USD dollars during my visit to Japan. Glad that I bought the travel insurance from your company with Insurance id #:123456 bought on 11/15/21 which I hope would help me recover the lost phone.
To be specific, I lost my iPhone 13 pro max which I have bought just 10 days before my departure to Japan. The capacity of the phone is 128 GB and the color is Sierra blue color and also, I have protected it very well with an expensive all cover case worth $100 to protect from damages that might occur during drop-offs but I have not expected that I would lose it.
Furthermore, I exactly don’t know when I lost the phone but I have seen it the last time while I was purchasing the train ticket after I was landed in Japan. After purchasing the ticket, I have settled down on the train with all bags but I didn’t find the phone in my pocket and that’s when I realized I lost it.
As per the terms of the insurance, mobile devices are under coverage. So, I would kindly request you mail me the check of 1350 for my phone or replace it with a brand new phone with the same memory capacity.
I look forward to receiving your response.Yours faithfully,
Sam Pete

I am writing this letter to inform about the loss of my new DSLR camera during my recent visit to London, which fortunately was covered by a travel insurance policy by your company.
I recently purchased this Canon Mark 3 camera with its telescopic lens which had a green safari print on its skin for 2 lakhs INR. It was placed safe inside a black camera backpack with a keychain of BTS hanging on its front zip.
In short I was carrying this camera during my trip from Chennai to London last week. On reaching London, I <font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>am certain that I had it with me before boarding the taxi on Friday night. Then right after the taxi dropped us , I </font>realized<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”> that the camera bag is missing. But by then, the taxi drifted off before I could stop them.</font>
<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>It would be of great help if you could accept my claim and release 100 percent replacement cost for the camera at the earliest.</font>
<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>For any further information, feel free to reach out to me.</font>
<font color=”#ba0000″>Yours faithfully,</font>

Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you that recently I lost my bag while I travelled to Germany last week.
The brand of bag is PANDA, and the price was $2000 when I bought last month. The color was brown, It has total three pockets in which one is in the middle and two are in sides. It is made by Italy, and the material is leather. A plethora of clothes and a diary kept inside my bag so approximately the total cost of bag is around $3500.
My flight was on 1st January,2022 from the Jeddah, and it was transiting flight so I had to take a stop at Dubai for 2 hours. When I arrived at Berlin airport, I was waiting for my luggage for an hour but didn’t get my bag, so I contacted to authorized person and they struggled to find my luggage, but unfortunately, they could not able to help me.
As per the regulation, I had taken travel insurance with booking of my flight ticket which is also covered the lost items. I request to provide me details for procedure of claim to lost items.
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Yours faithfully,
Abc
