Over the period globalization and industrialization have shown extensive growth in bringing up changes in the market. Rise in supermarkets across all the countries have definitely raised the bar for small businesses. In my opinion former is more beneficial to once own country than the stagnant and under developed latter.

Firstly by improvising older shops and platforms there is drastic change in the purchasing behavior of every individual as a customer. Such changes bring amazing offers and comfort to the people as hypermarkets provide better prizes compared to the adjacent shops. Researches must have been conducted in big cities where supermarkets store more products than the smaller shops. This also indicates that discounts on their products might be high.

Second of all if the question is about the small business communities, the owners here should consider focusing on the development and growth of the retail. Despite of the tranquility in the smaller businesses, there is always a room for betterment and this is possible when they consider the opposite as a model for change and collaborate instead of considering them as a completion. For instance, local shop keepers who sell particular products like handmade soaps can approach marketing executives to display their products. This indeed leads to growth of opportunities in building up chains.

To conclude, I strongly disagree that local businesses are dying due to the development of supermarkets. I believe healthy competitions should always be encouraged and taken positively.

August 25, 2021 at 12:25 AM in reply to: Task 2 – Opinion – [Immigration]

Immigration as defined is moving to a new place in order to live there either as permanent residents or on work purpose. Whilst some say that moving to new location people should adopt the local culture and some others say that some distinguished communities should be formed. Personally I side for the later view.

Firstly going to new country itself has feasible opportunities to develop new way of living and explore new lifestyles. Transforming and getting to know new culture helps in getting closer to the local people and easier for getting job in hand. It also helps one to expand knowledge in areas such as their food, language and so on. Developing and inculcating new changes help us create new way as well get stability as soon as possible.

On the other hand we are honored that our traditional culture in been kept up. This has lead to forming of small minor communities which has been in many ways. With this there is room open for newer immigrants. They likely receive support of their own community members to overcome difficulties each one faces when they are new to strange environment.

To conclude both views have their own benefits but in my opinion citizens moving to other countries should build small communities to carry forward the traditional value.

  • There is this one incident that gets me flummoxed is the one when my family was travelling to Goa. I remember I was swamped at work, I thought I would be quashed by my HR for granting me leave but yet I could convince and take a week leave just to spend some time with my family. Everything was going great during the travel that suddenly there was a tenuous moment where the driver was perplexed by the route because the board on the way had a specious direction described on it. While taking up that route we had to go ahead sluggishly. There was a point that we all were in a fix when the driver just put a sudden break and what we saw was atrocious and I was so obtuse to get out of the car to watch that incident. That incident was where a deadly accident had taken place. I call myself stupid because I get dizzy when I see blood and knowing it I got out to see it and as I said it left me still, I felt dizzy and almost fell off the road. My parents rushed towards me and helped me settle.

Therefore, what I have learnt from this one incident that has forsaken me is that; I have to think twice before I travel especially on the highways and be aware about my weakness. However the unpalatable fact is that I have and I am still trying hard to absolve myself from this atrocious incident.

Survival skills in this present 21st century are one of the basic needs for living an independent life. Hence I strongly believe that cooking, giving first aid, basic self defence are necessary to be taught to the teenagers irrespective of their caste, creed, gender, religion, race and others.

Looking at the present scenario most of the countries are facing issues with crime, health and living. To be precised when we speak about crime, there has been increase in cases where people are stabbed for money, lonely streets are not safe for girls etc therefore self defence can be a boon. Coming to health it is become common that people are losing consciousness just while walking of streets, accidents ranging from slightest to the life threatening ones. Hence learning basic first aid or basic life support training can be helpful for all the teenagers to support the society and its people.

On the other hand there is no such rule where particular group of people or individuals should be learning the survival skills. It is open to humans of all caste, creed, religion, race and others to learn and develop the qualities of independency. Infact we have to consider these as a basic part of living no matter what background the individual comes from.

To conclude on a positive note if schools start taking up basic survival classes during their school life, it would help children grow stronger and independent. However for today I reckon that atleast the teenager s are encouraged to learn such skills to lead a better life.

August 2, 2021 at 10:58 PM in reply to: Task 2 – Essay (Opinion based) – Celebrating personal family events

Celebrations have never the less been the most expensive events in people’s life. To pen down weddings, birthday bash ups etc turn out to be not only costly but also a reason behind keeping up relations intact. I strongly believe that more than the high priced occasions what matters the most is how well we keep up friends and family which wouldn’t depend on the cost of events.

Firstly making marry is by default one of the most important aspects in one’s life. In fact happenings like for example wedding brings many far of people near. As rightly said marriage is not between just the bride and the groom but it is that which brings two families together. Hence it happens to mean that such days can make us love more, care more, it is not only physical union but we get connected spiritually and emotionally.

On the other hand, when we speak about emotional and spiritual connection what remains unseen is the expense that is billed at the background. For families who are capable of spending recklessly will never understand what it would mean to the relatively low household group who burn the midnight oil. However I personally feel people engage in spending lots of money in celebrating such events which is unnecessary and can be enjoyed in their own surroundings.

To conclude, find ways to enjoy and celebrate that can be less priced and yet could do the same work what big fat events do. Making use of what one has and being satisfied is helpful than spending and creating a burden for self and once own family.

July 6, 2021 at 11:41 PM in reply to: IELTS Essay Writing -7 (Outdoor Activities)

Outdoor activities have been exceptionally helpful in building healthy milestones in a child’s life than what playing computers could have. I strongly reckon that not being confined to room but simply exploring the outer world would prove to be a bonus in children’s mental as well as physical aspect.

Firstly when children explore out of the four walls he or she gets mentally charged and could set up bodily growth. This could narrate that outdoor activities have most common benefits. they gain confidence, learn to differentiate what is right to one can be wrong to the other, Manual training of any game could not only assist a child to get taller but also maintain ideal weight and be less prone to the trending disease called obesity. For example when a child with his friends would plan to climb a mango tree and pick ripened fruits; they develop their cognitive mental skills and this indeed would help develop their health.

Second of all being clingy to computer games could make oneself remain in same place for hours with little to no benefits. The little one would not learn how another same aged mate react; there are fewer chances to develop both physically and mentally. These are the ones who are prone to disease like obesity; depression etc. For instance a youngster, who was dedicated to the PUBG game, would have difficulty building social skills as he is more confined to one place and no physical interaction with another youngster.

To conclude, being physically active has more benefits than what an artificially built in game could certainly have. Hence encourage children to play outdoor games and help in developing them both mentally and physically.
