Schools mostly focus on teaching their students the subjects that may help them get good colleges but ignore teaching about the real-life issues. It is therefore argued that schools should teach their students how to survive financially. I completely agree with this notion and believe that it is beneficial for a child to learn about economics and money related problems in their younger days. This essay will discuss about the advantages of giving real life lessons to kids in schools.

In school, children study subjects such as physics, mathematics, social science etc., which help them to prepare for different competitive exams, apart from this, these subjects do not play any vital role in one’s life. On the other hand, subjects such as finances, investment etc., are left behind by these institutions which leads to children suffering from economic crisis after completing their education as they don’t have any idea about how to handle their money or where to invest it. For instance, learning different theorems of physics may help some in their future life but for others it is complete waste of efforts, but learning about finances, on the other hand, benefits everyone.

Although this shift from traditional teaching method is not easy and time consuming. Also, such a transition requires a lot of planning by the administration and the government along with allocation of funds, as appointment of new teaching staff would be required. There are some new education policies that are being circulated by the government according to which by the end of year 2030 all of the schools need to have a specific period everyday, when students can ask and learn about economy and investment policies from an expert.

In conclusion, although teaching finances to students in schools requires a major shift from the current scenario but it is for a greater good, and whole community would be benefitted of it.

August 31, 2021 at 6:37 PM in reply to: IELTS Essay Writing (large number of gyms) Problem & Solution Essay

Nowadays, people are adopting inactive lifestyle and are avoiding any kind of physical exercise, despite the availability of large number of work-out facilities. This essay will discuss the problems that can arise as a consequence of such a life style, and will try to provide some possible solutions to overcome the same.

Some major issues that are caused due to sedentary lifestyle are: obesity and lack of stamina. Firstly, remaining seated for longer spans of time results in the deposition of bad fats in different body parts, hence increasing the overall body weight. The reason behind this is the calorie surplus diet i.e., calorie intake is more than the output. Secondly, lethargic life style directly impacts on one’s body strength and stamina to perform different functions. For instance, it is a proven fact, that people who exercise on regular basis, tend to last longer in physical activities, than, the ones who ignore any kind of training.

According to me. the best solution for these problems is to promote healthy lifestyles. Firstly, large number of people prefer driving cars even to short distances instead of walking or using bicycles. Therefore, advertising the benefits of cycling or walking is the effective way to combat such a problem. Moreover, people do not work-out due to their packed up schedules or long working hours. Thus, promoting healthy living in the working space and providing a break to exercise would provide everyone with ample time to focus on their fitness. For instance, many companies have gyms and sport facilities built inside their offices.

In conclusion, living a sedentary lifestyle causes lots of hazardous bodily problems such as, obesity and decreased stamina. Promoting and Advertising the healthy life style among society, and providing sufficient time to the working population are some of the effective solutions to curb these problems.

August 17, 2021 at 7:46 PM in reply to: IELTS Essay Writing (social media)

Today, many people depend upon social media to be in touch with others and also to know what is happening in the world. This essay will discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of people’s dependency on social media for these tasks.

Usage of social media has 2 major advantages: it is more faster and cheaper source to get information about anything happening in the world. Moreover, it also helps to be in contact with several people simultaneously. Firstly, with the help of social media apps, one can be aware of every breaking news within a minute’s time span while doing there other work or lying in the bed, also, all these apps are free of cost and no-one has to pay extra charge for the same. For instance, many times important news such as, India winning a cricket match reaches social media platforms before it reaches to any other source. Secondly, social media helps people to be in touch with large number of people at the same time which can be a difficult task for person if he tries to connect everyone personally. For instance, if someone has to convey some important message to a certain group of people, they usually post that message on their social media account such as Facebook or Instagram.

However, using only social media for these tasks also have some disadavantages too such as, possibility of believing a Fake News and overuse of these apps can affect physical as well as mental health. Firstly, not everything available on social media is true, many times fake news is circulated by people just to misguide others or to create chaos. For instance, many times we receive a message with catchy offer in it with a link directing us to a webpage. Most of these links are fake, and are created to commit frauds. Secondly, overuse of social media increases our screen-time which in turn impacts our eye-sight as well as mental health. For instance, people who have higher than average screen-time, find it difficult to sleep at night which results in mental health issues.

To conclude, although using social media for connecting with people or for being aware of the news has some drawbacks to it but it has made people’s life much easier and therefore advantages outweigh these drawbacks.

August 10, 2021 at 11:26 PM in reply to: IELTS Essay Writing (Learning a Foreign Language)

Some experts say that schools should initiate teaching a foreign language to the children right from the primary grade as it is more beneficial for them, compared to starting at secondary grade. This essay will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of learning a foreign language at primary school.

Major advantages of learning a new language in primary school is that it provides sufficient time for children to expertise in that language and helps them to choose a career option for them. Moreover, it is easier for a younger kid to learn something new in comparison to an older child. Firstly, initiating the process of teaching a foreign language to students from their primary grade provides them ample time to get the required training in that language and master it, and can help them (to) decide whether they want to a profession related to a linguistic field. For instance, nowadays most of the schools have an additional language as a compulsory subject for a primary school student, in which students can choose the language they want to learn. Secondly, as brains of younger children is (are) still in development stage, it is comparatively easier for them, to grasp the foreign language, than a secondary grade student.

However, teaching foreign language to younger children also have (has) some drawbacks such as, it can overburden kids with loads of new things to memorise, also, it can effect the child’s understanding of other major subjects which he/she may pursue in future. Subjects of a prrimary (primary) school student may not seem complex to us but it is handful for them, and adding a new language to that may cause a chaos in their heads. Moreover, primary grade is the stage where the basic knowledge of any subject is taught to the students which is essential to understand that subject in the later stages, but learning a new language may disrupt this foundation. For instance, if a child does not have a clear idea about the basic calculation methods in mathematics, taught in the primary school, there is no way he/she can understand the complex formulae in future.

To conclude, although learning a new language in initial stages of schooling have some drawbacks but the advantages surely outweigh the disadvantages of the same.

August 5, 2021 at 8:10 PM in reply to: WRITING TASK 2- ADVANTAGE DISADVANTAGE ESSAY

Travelling surely is contributing in making English language as the most prominent one, and many people believe that a day will come when English will be treated as the only usable language in the world. This essay will discuss about the pros and cons of using a single language in the world.

The two major advantages include: Elimination of mis-communication and ease of studying in different countries. Firslty, having single language all over the world will result in exchange of messages with the intended meaning of the person writing it, and also, will make the exchange of thoughts easier among people living in different parts of world. For Instance, many times, when one uses an e-translator to translate their text into English language, the essence of that message is lost in the translation but, having single language will eliminate this issue completely. Secondly, it will make studying abroad much easier for students, as they have to go through a lot of trouble to first learn the native language of the country in which they want to pursue their studies. For Example, one of my friends who wants to go to Germany to pursue his masters have to learn German language first, as it is a must required eligibility for admission there.

However, having mono-lingual world also has some disadvantages like reduction in the diversity of languages and it depletion in the jobs for professional translators. In present there are more than 100 languages that are spoken by the people in different parts of the world, and making English as the only usable language will take away this sense of localism among people living in different countries. For Example, if English is declared as the only language to be used all over the world, people of Non-English speaking countries have to learn it compulsorily and will have to give up their mother tongues. Furthermore, this will also take away the jobs of different translators as well as the different institutions teaching different languages to the students all over the world. For Example, the translators used by the officials of different countries will no longer be of any use if speaking of multiple-languages will be given up.

To conclude, having single acceptable language may create some problems to certain amount of individuals but, the advantages of the same will definitely outweigh these drawbacks.

  • While some people believe that global sports events are organised to show the qualities of the hosting nation, others say that it is just an insensible expense. I completely agree with the idea that it provides perfect opportunity to the hosting country to show their administration and other qualities to the world.

Firstly, organise any sporting event on an international level has its own advantages like increasing the popularity of the games and also to choose the best among all, this helps in keeping competitiveness alive in the sport. The organising nation has to make preparations for the same and have to make sure that everything goes on smoothly. This surely tests their management and administration. For Instance, there are more than 100 countries which participate in one of the oldest sporting events called Olympics but only certain number of countries can be a host of the same, as it requires a lot of requirements to be fulfilled by the country to be a host.

Secondly, the cost incurred to prepare for such an event is not completely unjustifiable because these expenses contribute in overall betterment of the infrastructure of that country. For example, several new stadiums were built in Delhi before hosting the Common Wealth Games in 2010, these stadiums are now used as the preparing grounds for our athletes as well as to organise domestic games. Despite this the cost incurred in preparing for these events can be spent in any other sector including Medical, Education etc.

To conclude, It can be said that organising any international sports event can prove to be a bit costly but it has its own benefits which outburdens the expenses so incurred.
