The diagram illustrates the process of producing electricity by using Geothermal energy. Overall, there are five steps in the process, beginning with pumping down the cold water to the subterranean region.

To begin, the cold water is pumped down beneath the earth’s crust through the injection well which is 4.5 kilometers deep. Thereafter, the cold water touches the Geothermal zone which is made of hot rocks. Flowing through the searing rocks, the water gets heated and becomes hot. Following this, the hot water is pumped out from the subsurface of the earth through the production well.

In the subsequent stage, the hot water forces the condenser to make steam. Then the steam rotates the turbine which results in energy. Finally, the process of converting energy into electricity comes into the picture. A generator is used in the termination stage. Powered by the turbine, the generator ultimately produces electricity which is then distributed.

I request to evaluate the above answer.

The map shows how the road access to a city hospital has developed in 3 years from 2007 to 2010. There have been several changes, the most noticeable being the progression of two roundabouts at both ends of the hospital road, elimination of bus stops, and adding a bus station, and separation of the car parking area.

In 2007, the city hospital was surrounded by a ring road that connects the hospital road at the southern end of the city hospital. On both sides of the hospital road, there were six bus stops in total, three stoppages on each side, and a common car park for staff and the public on the east. The car park has the entrance from the ring road. Finally, the hospital road joins the city road at the farthest south of the map.

Turning to the 2010 map, it can be seen that two roundabouts have been made at both ends of the hospital road to improve traffic control. On its east, the car park remained the same, albeit it has been separated for staff only and a new car park has been constructed beside the ring road in the east. All the bus stops along the hospital roadside have gone and a new bus station can be seen on the west.

  • In this 21st century where ‘Gender Equality’ is buzzing in every corner of the developed and developing countries, underdeveloped nations still experience a lot of discrimination between men and women. However, in this context, many individuals claim that women are less competitive than men. According to me, it is obvious that there are some biological and behavioural differences that make men more rivalrous. This essay agrees that men are naturally more competitive than women.

To begin, evolutionary pressures and the domestic roles which women play are amongst the reasons why they lose their ability to compete with men. Around the world, even in the developed sovereignties, a woman handles the domestic works majorly, also in the case of working women they manage both their home and the office together. For instance, a working mother needs to take care of her child whereas men are free from this activity. Thus, men take the opportunity and overtake women in the competition.

Additionally, women shy away from competitive environments. In many scenarios, women do not take part in the highly competitive atmosphere and feel shy to join. For example, in the top management positions across the globe, the proportion of women is very less, sometimes negligible. This also takes women behind men.

In conclusion, women face a lot of issues regarding household and health which reduce their competitive mindset but they must overcome these problems and compete with men in proper condition.

  • The pie charts illustrate the reasons for using bicycles and cars as transport mediums to work.

At first glance, it is discernible that the primary reasons are health and fitness, less pollution, and comfort.

People who prefer to reach their office by cycle are very much concerned about their health and fitness and environmental pollution. As a result, both of these reasons received the highest vote, 30% each. In the case of driving to work the principal concern is comfort which accounts for 40%, far higher than other reasons.

The proportions of those saying their transport medium as the fastest mode are quite similar for cycling and driving to work, 12% and 14% respectively.

Another important reason which influences people to drive to their work is the distance to work and this has been voted for 21%.

Sports can create connections between folks from different cultures and can give us global exposure however there are some individuals who oppose it. This essay portrays both views and concludes with an opinion.

International sports event increases valuable tourism which upheaves the host country’s economy. Almost all major international sporting events bring more than a million global audiences to the host nation. Billions of foreign currencies are pumped into the host country’s economy by non-native tourists. Evidence for this is provided by Statista, according to them, the FIFA World Cup 2018 generated 5 million tourists for Russia. Thus, it is so obvious that such sporting events boost up the country’s development and it is a wise decision to bid for it.

On the contrary, international sports events can also be considered as a financial drain on the host nation. In other words, to organize such an earth-shattering event, the host country needs to inject a massive amount of money for infrastructure development. There is no doubt that some countries or cities already hold the world-class status for which they do not require to pour money into that. But it has been noticed that, in most scenarios, the host nation ended up giving a huge burden on their citizens’ shoulders. A good illustration of this is the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games. Despite the fact that it made Montreal city so much popular, ultimately ended up leaving a 30-year legacy of debt and financial disaster for the city. This proves that budget analysis is the foremost thing before bidding for an international sporting event.

In my opinion, hosting an international sports event with proper risk analysis is one of the greatest drivers for boosting up the nation’s economy and pride.

September 20, 2021 at 4:29 PM in reply to: IELTS Essay Writing ( Agree/ Disagree )- E books & Modern Technology

It is often argued that E-books and modern technology will supersede the traditional style of reading newspapers and magazines. This essay agrees that the increasing popularity of digital books and contemporary technology are the reasons for the obsolescence of traditional newspapers and magazines.

First of all, I must admit that E-books and today’s leading-edge technology are very much flexible than those traditional ways. People can access easily from wherever they want and also, they can carry enough quantities as it is lightweight and portable, with the help of an electronic gadget. A good illustration of this would be Amazon Kindle. It allows its users to browse, buy, download and read their E-books, newspapers, magazines, et cetera from anywhere across the globe. The only requirement is to have a device that supports the Kindle store. Consequently, eliminating the traditional newspapers and magazines, societies are leaning more towards E-books and modern technology.

Secondly, it allows individuals to keep an extensive range of information in one device and comes with an idiomatic approach. In other words, traditional newspapers and magazines can contain a limited number of contents whereas the digital version offers a substantial amount of coverage. Additionally, E-books and modern technology provide personalized information which is a unique feature compared to conventional publications. For instance, if a person holds his interest in the area of politics and government initiatives then he will get individualized experience from the digital version. Although it depends on what settings he has made. Thus, the advantages of E-books and modern technology outweigh the traditional newspaper and magazines.

To summarize, it has been evidenced that the traditional newspaper and magazines are rubbing out their presence and the present generation’s E-books and technology are capturing the gaps. This is because technology creates a unique user-friendly interface.

  • The bar chart illustrates the population of Seal, Whale and Dolphin in the Gormez Straits from 2006 to 2018.

Overall, the Dolphin population increased at a steady rate whilst the seal and whale numbers fluctuated over the period.

In the starting year, seal population outraced the other two then 4 years later its number plummeted and stood at 25. From the bar graph, it is clearly discernible that the three populations had come to the same range only in 2010 and stood at 25, 26 and 21 in the sequence of Seals, Whales and Dolphins. Post the 2010, Seal and Dolphin experienced a rapid surge till the end of the period while the number of whales declined and after 2014, it again started climbing up and reached its all-time highest which is nearly 29.

The Dolphin population had always been in soaring phase. Over the 12 years of observation, it increased threefold and finally touched the pinnacle at 51 in 2018.

The line graph illustrates the rate of vehicle theft per thousand in Great Britain, Sweden, France, and Canada from 1990 to 1999.

Overall, the car theft rate of Great Britain and Canada showed a tiny decrease in 10 years despite their fluctuations while Sweden experienced an upward trend. And France remained the same.

During the period, Great Britain stayed far above of all the countries and has been experiencing the highest rate in comparison to France, Canada, and Sweden. In 1990, both Great Britain and France increased sharply and stood approximately at 19 and 8 (respectively) after that Great Britain kept climbing up while France declined.

Sweden started with a small drop and after intersecting with France at about 8, it started accelerating and finally reached 14.

France and Canada initiated nearly at 6 and 7 thefts per millenary(respectively) then both crossed each other and in the post-1991 time they followed a parallel change and ultimately ended up at the same point which is close to 6 thefts per thousands.

In the context of being updated about the current affairs, it is required to give preference to the world news however there are individuals who fix their boundary within their national territory. This essay portraits the importance of paying attention to regional news as well as global news and then discloses the opinion.

Starting with national news, it is very essential to be aware of your surroundings and keep yourself up to date about the current happenings. Although, most of the national news channels focus on Politics and Crimes as these two are the all-time hot button topic in nations like India. But as the qoute says ‘Everything has an exception’, so there are some news agency too who compe up with the nation’s success stories, goverment initiatives, tourism information, enviromental reports, mental wellbeing message, etc.. Regional news take an important role to help their audience to stay informed. For example, many Indian states have some additional or different pandemic restrictions. A traveller who is unaware of those restrictions may find difficulties after reaching the destination state. So, it would have been a wise decision to follow the regional news before starting the journey.

On the other hand, evolving as a global person is one of the main mottos of the 21st century. In many liberal democracies, people are more interested in what is going on across the globe, specifying further what are the current events occurring in the far corners of the world. In brief, international news brings a summary of world affairs to its viewers. Furthermore this also help us to broaden our mind and knowledge. To give an example, in September 2019 the UK goverment announced plans for a post study work visa for international students. So with this information, now those who hold a dream of studying and settling down in UK can start making their plan.

In my opinion, international news has an edge over national or regional news as because it does not publish any biased information. Also, it assists citizens to develop a liberal mindset – an important driver of human welfare.
