It is observed that these days, there has been an increasing trend that many people are prefering to consume cuisines from different parts of the world than locally prepared food. This is because of globalisation. In my opine, this is a positive trend to support international trade and also to satisfy people’s taste buds.

Due to globalisation, students who studied abroad have exposure to foreign culture and its famous cuisines. So, they crave to have those cuisines often in their home country. To meet this demand, many eateries of international origin have flourished near colleges and IT companies. These eateries are offering students and IT employees plethora of international cuisines to satisfy their taste buds and also to experience a feel good factor of trying food which is not locally originited. For an instance,in a recent study published in a local news paper suggested that these days more youngsters prefer to eat noodles than dosa for supper.

It is certainly a good development for international trade to increase their consumer base across the globe. This also gives exposure to local markets to franchise international food to local people.Besides, this trend also brings positive impact on home country’s economy by hosting international food festival which can cater to people’s need. With this exposure, of different international foods in their home counrtry, youngsters can easily adapt international cusinine when they travel abroad for higher education without any hassle.

To conclude, this increasing trend gives exposure to local people to experience different cultures and also satisfy their taste buds.Truly, globalisation has created positive impact on international trade.Because,it gives an opportunity to people to satisy their needs to consume international cusine.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to provide my feedback about the short cookery course recently undertaken at your centre.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning the intrecacies of baking Christmas cookies and varieties of cake. The master chef who was conducting classes was quoting good examples and also provided tips to master the skill of baking.

I never enjoyed baking until I attended your course.I tried my hands in baking christmas plum cake during last weekend for this christmas and the outcome was amazing! My friends and family liked the taste and softness of the cake. Now,I am looking forward to bake cookies in the coming weekend.

I would suggest you to introduce Chinese dishes course at your cookery classes. My friends and I are looking forward to learn Chinese dishes as kids are more interested in eating noodles these days.

Overall, the course was outstanding and I would definitely recommned this course to my friends and family.

    Yours Sincereley,

    Minne

  • It is a trend that many parents wish to send their children to study abroad. This creates a positive approach for children to gain international exposure. However,in this situation, children can drain emotionally and may feel homesick.

Firstly, while being away from parents, children will gain life skills as they have to exhibit exellence in personal work and studies independently. This is not the case otherwise. Also, this experience will provide them to obtain global exposure and learn adaptability. For an instance,a recent survey in Times of India newspaper suggested that, the owners of start up companies in Bangalore are mostly the children, who had international exposure as they possess good communication skills and have outstanding practical knowledge.

In the contrary, children being away from family will become emotionally distracted and can involve in bad friendship. This situation will lead them to deviate from their studies, which can cause an irrepairable damage. With this, the goal of attaining international education cannot be accomplished.Besides, there will be a huge financial loss for parents who would have taken educational loan to fulfill their dream. To quote an example,my colleague’s kid who was sent to a prestigious institute in USA last year is experiencing a cultural shock and is not able to focus on his studies. He is planning to come back and help his father in their family business.

To conclude, there are advantages and disadvantages to this situation.Children with an opportunity of studying abroad can obtain global exposure and get high income jobs. However, at the same time children can experience emotional distress and miss their parents and family, being away from them.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest towards an advertisement published in today’s Australian magazine “Times of Australia” to stay with your family and take care of your toddler for six months.

Currently,I am pursuing Master’s in Queen’s college and staying in a college accomodation, which is expensive.I am looking for a job to meet my expenses and to save money to pursue my PhD program for next year. Also,I would like to spend time with toddlers as they are my stress busters and fun to be around.

Since I am in final year of my post graduation,I need not attend classes and my work involves only submitting a project report.I have experience in taking care of my younger brother when he was a toddler, while in India.I can entertain the toddler by playing games and make the kid sleep nicley during night times by singing lullabies.I am patient enough to take care of kid’s tantrums. Also, I have gained a certificate in day-care training which can add value to this job.

During my free time, while in Australia,I would like to visit parks and sancturies with my friends as I am a nature lover.Sometimes,I read books and tell stories to small kids at school.

Looking forward for a positive response.

    Yours faithfully,

    Minne

It is believed by some people, that news papers are the best source of information to receive updates of our surroundings. On the contrary, others believe that, there are better technologies to update yourself with current affairs. In my opine, I agree to the latter part of the statement.

Firstly, newspaper has been our traditional way to gather information about politics, sports, crime and many more. Because, they are handy. As they are made of paper, they can be folded for comfort read. Also, reading news paper doesn’t harm eyes as compared to digital news. People working in print media work overnight to collate all the collected information during the day and print news to cater to people in the early morning. To quote an example, my father even today prefers to read newspaper as he believes they are true and reliable.

On the contrary, with the convenience of wifi availability around us, digital media offers plethora of options, to update current affairs via different modes such as phone, television, laptop. The information gets updated in such medias within a span of few seconds. Also, we can enjoy the visual effects of the news happening surrounding us. However, this is not possible with news papers. For an instance, the last week’s provisional election updates with current voting polls were broadcasted on the government website and I could easily track the progress directly on my phone. This helped me predict as to what party will win for the province election.

To conclude, although we have different options to update ourselves with current affairs, however, in my opinion, digital media is fast progressing and is making people’s life more convenient and comfortable in tracking the news around the globe and beyond.

Academic excellence in students at school is based on their performance. It is proven that students when praised and rewarded, perform better. However, on the negative aspects, students can fail in their studies when harassed and punished. I completely agree with the former statement.

Firstly, the capability of each student differs. Owing to cut throat competition, to get into good schools and colleges to shape up their bright future, obtaining great academic record is very crucial for every student. This creates immense pressure on student’s mental health. Therefore, students not only with low grasping power, when motivated with rewards and mentored methodically can achieve remarkable results in their academics. Elders must create support system and accolade students with the words of appreciation and buy them gifts of their choice and toys for their achievement. This brings lot of positivity and motivation to perform better in student’s future grades and creates positive mind frame. For an instance, my friend’s son was rewarded with XBOX playing station for having achieved 95% in his 10th grade exams. He is now aiming to achieve better in his 12th grade.

On the contrary, some parents and institutions follow strict discipline with certain set of guidelines for students to follow mandatorily, With this, they believe, will bring great results in students performance. However, some set of students who are well pampered at home or weak hearted, cannot handle this pressure and feel that they are being tortured with that strict environment. Additionally, students feel demotivated when punished. To quote an example, my class teacher hit my friend on her knuckles when she did not complete her homework. With this humiliation, she got fever and was admitted to hospital.

To conclude, rewards gives recognition and motivates students to perform better in their academics. Where as, students when punished are demotivated and loose interest in doing basic things in their life and turn suicidal.
