Undoubtedly, people are changing their preferences about reading and are drifting towards using online books that are available on their electronic devices without carrying paper-back with them every time. It is being argued that conventional newspapers and magazines are fully replaceable by the modern era trend of reading them digitally. I disagree with the fact that daily paper and journals will ever replace by electronic books completely.

First and foremost, daily newsprint and publications do not have any detrimental effect on health and are favorable for all age groups. People prefer to read the hard copies because they find it easy and comfortable rather than reading them on electronic devices. For example, in many countries, people are still habitual of reading daily newspapers first thing in the morning, and no change has been observed in their daily habit.

Alternatively, books available in cyberspace can be downloaded directly on one’s gadgets, and one can read them at their convenience. Though they are handy and are easily available on the internet, it has its repercussions. For instance, research has shown that more than four hours of screen time has a damaging effect on the eyes, and hence, it is not advisable for young children and old age people to use it in their day-to-day life.

To conclude, although digital books and magazines are available by just clicking on a modern technological device, conventional newspapers and journals are best suited for all age groups as they have no hazard to their health. I certainly believe that e-books would never end the tradition of daily newspapers and magazines.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

After coming across your advertisement in the Times of India newspaper, I would like to express my interest in volunteering charity event on cricket by local school teams for helping differently-abled children. I have been part of this kind of event before and would love to join this event too. Being socially responsible, I am continuously engaged in other events supporting a similar cause.

I am a member of the cricket club and hosted many such events in our club in the past. This club is located in the center of the city and well-versed with all the high-tech facilities which are required for an event. I have been handling promotion and marketing for a couple of years and raised more than 200k USD in 10 events.

If allowed to be part of this event, I would like to lead the promotion and marketing area and would do my best to take this event to the next level based on my experience.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours faithfully,

    Nitish Sharma

Undoubtedly, supermarkets are a one-stop solution for everyone’s needs and consumers can buy all the necessary things without going to multiple shops. In some nations, micro-businesses are facing detrimental effects and struggling to withstand against enlargement of hypermarkets. Even it is believed by some people that it leads to the end of local communities. I disagree with the point that shutting-down of local shops will end the era of the local community.

First and foremost, with globalization and modernization, the advancement of shopping is inevitable and it augments employment for locals in different regions because of their culture-specific elements. To run the stores efficiently, macro enterprises have to hire local-lite people who can communicate in the local language and attract more local customers. For example, Walmart store in Bangalore city stresses hiring employees who know Kannada, which is Bangalore’s regional language. As a result, local people will get more employment opportunities.

Secondly, hypermarkets bring the local communities’ cultures on the international platform. This is because they encourage local products and export them to other provinces and nations. Thus, providing a much wider platform as compared to small shops. For instance, Indian recipes which were earlier limited to a particular region are now available in almost all international stores. Therefore, local communities are recognized worldwide.

To conclude, although superstores are diminishing the small business, they are playing a vital role in boosting regional cultures. Therefore, I strongly disagree that the closure of small-scale outlets will ruin the local community.

Undoubtedly, the news is part and parcel of everyone’s life as it helps in being informative of things happening around us whether locally or globally. Based on the preference, some people tend to give more weightage to the worldwide news over the nation-wide news whilst others believe domestic news is crucial to be up-to-date with one’s surroundings. In this essay, I will discuss both aspects and would argue that inclining more towards abroad news has more benefits when compared to local news.

On the one hand, nation news provides knowledge of the country’s day-to-day activities like the government’s new policies, political changes, weather changes, sports bulletin, etc. Thus, individuals are getting all the required information to be aware of things happening around them. For example, one can avoid going out of their home after listening to a bad weather report on local news. Therefore, it would help them to avoid unwanted troubles.

On the other hand, other nation news helps in understanding activities happening across the globe. With the increase of globalization and tourism, it is becoming necessary to be well-known of other countries’ news as it helps in preparing, planning, and take necessary actions if required. For instance, if someone is planning to travel to London for vacation, they would have to cancel or postpone their travel dates by seeing the weather report of snow-storm. What’s more, it will not only help in saving their huge expenses but planning things in a better way.

To conclude, the news is important as it enlightens us about our nearby environment and focuses on being up-to-date. I support the view that foreign news is more important than motherland news as it guides in preparing, planning, and saving money.

A child’s mind is naïve and wants to explore this world in the way they want. Thus, to keep them happy, some parents purchase all the things they demand and allow them to do whatever they want. I disagree with this idea of children’s upbringing as it makes them stubborn. When they become adults, they will find it harder to cope with life challenges. In this essay, I will discuss two repercussions of this type of child care and its after-effects on children in the later part of life.

First and foremost, buying things without need make them stubborn and affects the parent-child relationship. New things available around children entice them to buy them without considering their usage or price. When parents start to agree to their demands then it will make them habitual of getting things in their pockets even if they can’t afford them. Once this habit is inculcated in them, it would be very difficult to say no to them. This further leads to awful relationships in the longer term. For example, gaming gadgets are too expensive and are also not good for children to use for long hours but parents have to buy that for their child when asked, even if they are aware of their disadvantages.

Secondly, the behavior of children is directly proportional to society. Even after knowing about the wrongdoings of their children if parents don’t stop them from doing it, they will never come to know the difference between right and wrong. Therefore, once they become adults their wrong acts will start to impact society and its people as well. For instance, parents encourage younger generations’ desire to start driving the car even before getting a driving license, trends show that most of the accidents are done by minors only.

To conclude, nurturing children in a better way is very important for their life and to be a responsible citizen of the society. Therefore, parents should guide their children of their wrong-doings effectively and help in understanding their needs and interests before just grabbing everything they demand.

  • There is no doubt that advertisements are everywhere and sometimes, even intrusive. Many audiences believe that it entices them to purchase things while remaining are not alluring. I am more inclined towards adverts achievement in making us in buy things.

On the one hand, no one can escape from the ads as they are ubiquitous whether one is sitting at home watching Commercial ads or walking on the street looking at Billboards, or traveling in a bus having a covert ad on it. It’s a human tendency is that too much of a thing can make him bored and with time, he starts ignoring it. For example, nowadays, people don’t even pick telemarketing cold call by looking at name prompt in smartphones. However, technological advancement has opened a variety of other ways to lure people with ads.

On the other hand, advertisements help people to choose, compare, decide and purchase products of different brands without even going to a physical shop. One of the main reasons, companies allots heavy budgets in marketing is to understand and identify their customer-specific market and interest group. For instance, e-commerce websites like Amazon or Flipkart are available 24 by 7 and have an option to buy items from the different categories by comparing them with other brands with easy monthly installments. Though adverts, sometimes make people spend over their budget as it tempts them to buy more than ever need.

To conclude, advertisements helps us to be up-to-date with the latest products available in the market, and it’s up to one’s wisdom to understand the need of the products displayed in advertisements and their capacity to buy and pay for them without busting out financial budget.
