In contemporary era, life expectancy and birth mortality has been shoot up due to development. However, there are some challenges raised as a side effect of growth. For instance, ageing inhabitants creating huge financial burden to the country. This essay will explain issues and measures which government and individual should take for mitigate the problem.

Firstly, the predominant issue is increasing number of retired people in the country. The authority has to give pension to these for longer period. As a result, Government has to keep large budget aside for supporting these, causing big dent in their fund. Moreover, Ministry is increasing mandatory contribution from younger generation that is tax whether they are employees or businessmen, affecting individual’s personal life. Secondly, older generation depends upon their children, younger people have to spend large amount of money and time in supporting them medically. Additionally, they are not able to concentrate over work and explore their capabilities to do extra work.

Although there are so many solutions for this problem, first is Government can increase retirement age for the older people so that they can support themselves. In addition to that immigration process can be made easy so that old age people can shift to developed nations. For example many developed countries are providing free healthcare and basic income for senior citizens which can help in reducing burden to the underdeveloped countries

In conclusion, rise in the age period has many side effects to the society. However, it can be controlled by implementing some rules and regulations to relief this issue in some extend.

In contemporary era, providing basic necessities for instance food is the biggest issue due to increasing masses. Although, some says that genetically modified foods offer a good solution to this serious problem. However I believe this is not without risks, certainly it is a feasible way to provide enough meal for the increasing world population.

Firstly, DNA of the crops has been modified scientifically to support growth in any weather condition so that it can be provided to the mass inhabitants. Due to change in environment like floods, global climate and pollution, farmers are not able to earn enough money to support their family, the advent of such crops which is resilient to weather provides enough money to the cultivators. For instance, in Europe farmers are able to grow rice with minimal water to feed their nation without much importing from different countries.

However, food manufacturing from above process does not contain proper nutrient as not grown in organic way. As a consequence this is not healthy for the body. In contrast, population of the earth is increasing exponentially and due to deforestation less land is available for the crop. There are lots of people who cannot afford food due to cost but GM food is making their life easy as food is getting sold in cheaper rate and many family not sleeping without their meal. For example, Government already declared that we need 70% more food by 2050 to feed the masses.

To conclude, there are demerits with genetically modified food which overweighs with the greatest problem in universe of feeding large number of masses with less rate and easy availability.

  • In modern world, guardians prefer to send their children to the developed nation to study. There are lots of pros like international exposure, better job opportunity along with cons brain-drain, financial burden to parents and many more associated with this norm which I will discuss further.

The two main advantages of migrating adolescent to abroad for educational pursuits give them vital exposure to the culture of people from different background furthermore, they learn to cope with the difficulties themselves. Firstly, when teenagers travel to western countries alone then they get to face peculiar situation, however they act according to their experience and solve conflicts. Moreover it boosts their confidence to live in any circumstances which make them independent. Secondly, youngsters in academy get exposure to multicultural society which is beneficial for their future success. For example, students has to learn English for their studies which is an international language which helps them to work in multinational companies and get adapt to their environment better.

But going for study to abroad have its drawbacks too. On one hand, it creates scarcity of skilled student which result talent crunch in their own mother land. The development of the nation depends upon the youngsters. In addition to this, it became trend for parents to send kids for their higher education to abroad which creates enormous society pressure on others. Parents have to pay a huge amount of money for study fees and the cost of living which end up financially burden to them. Even if their children win a scholarship, the cost is still unaffordable because of the disparity among countries.

To conclude, sending children overseas for better education puts them ahead of those studying in the local area moreover, they can mature by getting far from the care of their guardians. However, the high cost and impact of cultural changes should be foregoing concerns.

June 10, 2022 at 10:05 AM in reply to: Task 2 (Problem solution) : Brain drain

In contemporary era, due to highly populated countries with undeveloped infrastructures, numerous of health care professionals and tutors are relocating to developed countries for better living. As a result this is causing talent scarcity and economy loss by migration of skilled people from unprogressive countries to industrialized countries.

The foremost reason is that lots of ambitious professionals wants to pursue their work and research in developed countries due to infrastructure provided and tools available. Work life balance is very high in those places with lots of benefits like wages, education and even healthcare side. In calculation also it’s proved that life span of the people is high in developed countries as great facilities provided. Due to shortage of skilled people, country is becoming poorer as there is no development happening and economy is getting plummet.

However, there are various solutions for these problems by creating good institutes which can providing research and work infrastructure so that medical practioners and educators get good exposure in their fields. Government should mandate basic salary for professionals with scholarship to pursue their studies in the same country with good incentives. Moreover, authority should collaborate with developed countries for short time visit so that professionals get chance to learn and bring new skills to home country. All this will result in increase in economy and good relationships with foreign countries as brain-drain will not happen for underdeveloped. For example, Srilanka’s situation is not hidden from the world as they are struggling for even leaving due to governments’ bad decision.

In conclusion, government has really need to work hard for keeping skilled people and retaining aspiring youth from migration to different countries by providing great employment opportunities and lucrative incentives.
