It is argued that including money related courses in the curriculum at high school would result in a successful career as it is a great life lesson. I totally agree with this believe, as financial literacy is significant at every age to plan for a ravishing life.

To commence with, Budgeting classes in school is very crucial as its consequences on toddlers could either be positive or negative. However, although it has some downsides like children may become money minded which will spoil their innocence, still it is more beneficial with proper guidance because it will help youngsters to realize the importance of funds. Another striking benefit is that they won’t struggle with money in future as they would have an idea how to earn, keep and save money. By doing so, they would be able to enjoy and earn at the same time. These days we have seen many adolescents are earning in millions every year by investing in stocks and equity funds.

Probing ahead, investment courses specially at this age level not only give substantial boost to their dreams, but would also encourage them to stick to them. Moreover, In this way they can help their parents in managing overall house expenses. For instance, my younger brother has these types of vocational courses at school and now he actually advises us on how not to spend extra on something.

To conclude, I strongly believe mandatory financial planning classes would help young adults to plan for every stage of life from juvenile to retirement.

January 26, 2022 at 8:25 PM in reply to: Task 1 (Line graph : Goods transported)

The given graph is a statistical representation of the things transported in the UK between 1974 and 2002 by four different modes of transport in million tonnes.

Overall, the road transportation has shown a steady increase, whereas the railway had fluctuations in its capacity of carrying goods. On the other hand, both water and pipeline have almost equal graphical representation with difference in the amount of goods they carry.

Although both pipeline and water transportation started from different quantities in 1974 which was 0 and 40 million tonnes respectively, still both of them rapidly increased till 1982 and from 1982 to 1990 pipeline goods carrying capacity remained constant. Simultaneously, the water route was also carrying the same amount till 1994. After 1990, the quantity slightly decreased via pipe and then again remained constant. On the other hand, water transport too showed a downward trend but then suddenly increased after 1998.

Considering the other two modes of transportation, road and rail. Although the road was already in heavy use carrying more than 60 tonnes in 1974, still the amount of goods transported by road was increasing every year with slight decrease in between and by the year 2002 the carrying quantity of things was touching 100 million tonnes. With all the fluctuations in railway goods capacity, in 2002 it remained there from where it had started.

    Hi @fal mam please evaluate

The given two pie charts depict the key factors why people prefer certain modes of transport which are either car or bicycle.

Overall, many citizens travel by cycle to maintain health and fitness as well as to save the environment from pollution, whereas on the other hand employees prefer driving because of its comfort.

Health and fitness and less pollution are the underlying reasons for selecting pedal cycles over automatic vehicles by 30% of the population respectively. Meanwhile, only half of them have given importance to no parking problem, whereas the least amount of workforce considers its speed. Following that 13% consider cycling as the cheapest mode of transport.

On the other hand, comfort is the major reason for choosing a four-wheeler by 40% of the residents. Along with this, about 21% of the public considers distance as the most sought-after reason. Even though only 14% of natives believe driving is faster than cycling, still 11% of the population thinks it is safer. On top of that, it is easier to carry goods in the car than on a bicycle.

Some people argue that it is every citizen’s responsibility to protect our environment, while others say it is the government’s call to take necessary actions. While the rules and regulations implemented by the authorities are important for the preservation of nature, I believe if every human being comes together in this great cause then it is easily achievable.

On the one hand, imposing strict laws by the ministry to conserve our habitat is significant because they are the leaders of the nation and that’s why it is their foremost responsibility to take actions by imposing fines for the ones who are destroying our environment, making special communities who will take care of nature. For instance, whenever in my locality if someone tries to cut trees for building houses these groups show up and charge them heavy duties.

On the other hand, a considerable amount of people believe every individual should oversee their surroundings and take charge of that. This definitely makes the task more achievable as when people unite and take care of their mother nature together then it can easily safeguard our territory. For this, they can plant more trees around their homes, and also make the place neat and clean or the minimum they can do is to just stand by the law. For example, as a responsible person living on this planet, I have installed solar panels on my rooftop.

To conclude, Although everyone including the law makers as well as common people all are equally answerable for environmental conditions in the society, but I believe as a responsible resident of this universe it is our duty to look after our nature.

Nowadays, most of the companies started adopting open space designs instead of traditional cubicle designs in their offices. This essay will first examine the benefits relating to cost and communication which outweighs its drawbacks in terms of privacy and productivity.

Furthermore, the main advantages of new ways of office setup are better interaction between employees and cost effectiveness for the organization. Firstly, open space offices decrease barriers among the employees and the managers, which in turn establish good communication and better relations among them. Secondly, omitting the separate room concept within the office leads to less expenditure, also making more empty space available for other activities. For instance, these days many offices have gyms, game rooms, yoga centers, open theaters etc.

However, there are hidden cons associated with this new concept which are the lack of privacy and less amount of work completed on time then expected. Sometimes, people working in different projects might become a victim of security breach, which ultimately leads to important data leaks. On the other hand, constant distractions from the background couldn’t let staff to focus on their work, hence deadlines are not met beforehand. It has been in newspapers for a long time now, that nowadays people are not completing their work on time because they are too busy with other stuff within the office.

To conclude, though open offices have some disadvantages, I believe it has more pros than cons. Because of these new office layouts people are able to talk and make their workspace more entertaining. This new concept is not only beneficial for employees, but also for the organization to save money.

Traffic congestion is one of the alarming issues in urban cities around the world. This essay will first describe the biggest causes of traffic jams which includes the lack of infrastructure and more private vehicles owned by citizens, then provide significant solutions like well structured roads and use of public transport.

The foremost reason for traffic clogging is because of the absence of well organized roads and more automobiles owned by people these days. Increasing unavailability of properly managed roads results in big traffic jams which sometimes lasts for days. Furthermore, in addition to that there is more conveyance on the highways these days because today almost everyone in the city has their own cars. For instance, the world’s biggest traffic congestion happened in China in 1992 which lasted for more than two weeks, just because of the non-existence of systematic roads and increasing population.

On the other hand, possible solutions of these causes would be to construct the roads in planned manner and more usage of public transport. While the materials used in constructing roads and the availability of resources are much higher today, still there is always a room for improvement which is to do proper planning in this case. Along with this, it is necessary to encourage people to use more and more public transportation. For example, China was more prone to traffic congestion in the 20th century but they easily cope with that today with proper planning. January 6, 2022 at 7:18 PM in reply to: Task 2 (Is it a positive or negative development): Retirement

With the modern cultural development in the society more and more elderly people started moving to retirement centers, instead of living with their grown up children. This helps parents to enjoy their retirement phase and give a fair chance to children to stand out on their own feet.

Admittedly, due to this decision of elderly people give them a chance to open up more and more and live freely without being dependent on their adult pupils. In addition to that, they could easily connect and engage with other people of the same age group, not only this but they are able to share their emotions with others. Regular entertainment and physical activities in these homes gives them an opportunity to be active and outspoken which in turn keeps them healthy and fit.

In addition to all the above mentioned advantages, better health care facilities available at these retirement communities makes them the most sought-after place especially for the people above 60. On the other hand, the only negative aspect of this migration is that grandchildren get deprived from their grandparents’ love but this can be taken care of if they both visit each other on a regular basis.

In conclusion, I believe this is a positive development as now children get space to prove themselves and stand out strong in life whereas parents get time to relax and maintain a healthy lifestyle while enjoying their retirement phase of life.

The two pie charts illustrate the information regarding percentage of household expenditure on the necessary elements for the years 1995 and 2011 in china.

Overall, In both the years the food expenditure takes the maximum proportion of the budget which is almost more than half the proportion of the entire budget. Whereas, others like clothing, medicine and household goods was least in the expenditure.

As it can be observed that money spent on medicine was comprised of 4% from the entire budget in 1995 which increased by 5% in 2011. In the same way, the amount spent on the other household goods was 9% which rose with a slight difference of 3% in 2011.

While there was an increase in the expenditure of some goods, others showed a slight decrease. With regards to decrease, expenditure on clothing was 19% in 1995 which shows a minimal 1% of decrease in 2011(18%). Although food was among the most popular choices in both the years, it shows a 9% decrease from 1995 to 2011.

January 4, 2022 at 10:32 AM in reply to: Task 2 ( discuss both the views) : University or Job

While some people believe that pursuing an undergrad degree at university or college leads to a well-to-do career, others believe getting placed as soon as we pass our high school leads to a much better career.

Without a doubt, an undergrad degree brings better career and growth opportunities at a student’s plate. Not only this, it helps students to enhance skills and brush up those learned at school. In addition to that, university brings out the best in a student and eventually boosts the overall development of a child from extra curricular to academics. On top of that, high level institutions give students a platform to interact and socialize with others which clearly helps them to grow more and grab golden opportunities.

On the contrary, some argue that students should directly pursue jobs after high school which in turn helps them to gain more experience and not waste time on useless topics at universities while pursuing a degree. Due to this they are not more a financial burden on their families, not only this they start supporting them financially at the very earliest of their life, Furthermore, they can easily settle just after school following their passion which in turn increases their learning ability with experience. For instance, the renowned motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari started following his passion just after high school and set a benchmark for many.

In conclusion, while pursuing a degree at college has ample number of advantages, I strongly believe experience matters over certifications. Hence, anyone can succeed after school if they have the courage and determination to do so

It is argued by some people that art subjects at schools are crucial for children. While on the other hand, others believe it is a total waste of time. This essay discusses these contradicting views, followed by my opinion on why I believe art subjects at school are essential and not a waste of time.

Without a doubt, art plays a vital role in children’s life in expanding imagination power and thinking out of the box. Along with this, including art courses in a curriculum helps children to showcase their creativity. Moreover, children can shape their career choices because the art activities involved in their day to day life may work as a helping hand in recognizing their talent. On top of that, studying art subjects alongside educational ones putting all together makes a child an all-rounder. For instance, a well known celebrity who died last year Sushant Singh Rajput was a top ranker IITian which clearly signifies he was excellent at his studies next to arts.

On the contrary, art activities may put an extra pressure on children along with their academic performance. As a consequence, sometimes it may get hard for them to get satisfactory jobs because very limited jobs are available in the society related to arts whereas they are also very tough to get. In addition to that, a smaller proportion of parents encourage their off-springs to flourish interest in art subjects. December 28, 2021 at 8:26 PM in reply to: Task 2 ( Two part question) : local food

Nowadays, it is observed that people prefer consuming food from different parts of the world rather than locally available cuisines. All thanks to these advanced technologies which are evolving around the globe, adding an advantage for people as now they can explore a new variety of cuisines.

Due to this emerging use of technology, be it cell phones or television, people watch a lot of advertisements these days and get mesmerized by them. In order to try those things, they started preparing international cuisines at their home following instructions from the social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram. Following this trend, restaurants also started serving a variety of international foods. Also, this modern technology has made it so much easier for people to travel from one place to another. As a result, these days people have started migrating from their hometown to different parts of the world. This has become so common that it is a need of the society to have a plethora of food options available for the immigrants. Online food delivery apps like Swiggy, Zomato and Uber eats have also played a Significant role in this increasing trend.

It is certain that this kind of benefit opens our minds to other cultures and establishes good communications among people. For instance, when someone from India eats food from the United States, they may develop an interest in the culture and then would easily be able to establish a relation with them which might also help in businesses from overseas. On top of that, these cross-cultural food changes might help people to build a good balanced diet.

In conclusion, technology has given a good opportunity to people in order to work together. While this helps us to enjoy various foods from around the corner of the world, at the same time it gives us a chance to learn about different cultures and maintain a good balanced diet.
