  • Though some people believe that fixed retirement age for all, irrespective of type of work is unjustifiable while others think the opposite, I agree that retirement age should be dependable on people’s preference and their current life scenario.

Firstly, every occupation is different not to mention the work that each one entails. Set retirement age may work for occupations that doesn’t involve hard labor and semantic work. Physical labor consumes a lot of energy therefore draining people more. Jobs such as desk clerks, accountants, Software developers and many other fields where manual heavy work is actually not used, both mental and physical drain is less. For example, Corporation cleaners work throughout the day sanitizing drainage and removing blockages. Moreover, they might face a deterioration in health due to their job and therefore they need retirement at an early age.

Secondly, Doctors are thriving day and night without proper rest, sleep and food throughout their journey in their roles. They can neither find time for good sleep nor for healthy diet or exercise. On the other hand, they fight to save others lives and therefore lose their physical and mental health. For Instance , I have witnessed a friend of mine suddenly get admitted for dehydration as she almost forgot to drink water for days together. Therefore they need retirement at an early age to finally take care of themselves and their family too.

In conclusion, Many white collar and blue collar jobs have different type of works and various aspects such as interest, health, pension to be taken into account before consider a fixed age for discharge.

The map shows the development in the route to the city hospital in the year 2007 and in the 2010 respectively.

Overall, significant conversion has taken place from bus stops to bus stations and formation of roundabouts in two major intersections from the year 2007- 2010.

Firstly, in 2007, City hospital can be reached by taking right of the City road crossing several bus stops. However in 2010, there were efficient changes made to the Hospital road. Two roundabouts were found at the intersections of the main roads precisely City road, hospital road and Ring road.

In addition to this, A bus station was found at the west of Hospital road in 2010. Followed by this, Parking for staff and Public has been split as compared to 2007 , where both the Parking was at the same space.

In 2010, Staff car parking has been seen to the east of Hospital road while Public parking at the east of City Road. Lastly, A round about was noticed at the place where city road and Ring road intersects where taking right leads to the City hospital in the year 2010.

Most people believe that manufacturers are responsible for the reduction in product packaging while some people disagree with this by voicing that shoppers are liable for overpackaging. Though Makers and consumers are both accountable for the reduce in wrapping, the major charge is with the latter.

Firstly, Makers are the ones who are responsible for producing the goods thereby covering them too. They<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”> should consider the cost these over-bundling levies onto the goods and on the environment. When the packaging consists of different layers of plastics which people cannot even use after consumption of the product goes to waste which in turn loads in the dump completely destroying the environment. Though government has laid severe taxes on using plastics, makers are still using it for their goods without considering the harms it poses to the environment. The major example to this is LAYS potato chips. Many kids consume this chips on a day-to-day basis where the cover ends up in the dumpster. Needless to day the scene that anyone can imagine with lots of lays packets covering the whole dump we all noticed at our </font>neighborhood<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>. Secondly, unless the manufacturer’s give it in an attractive package, some people are not gonna ask for it. Most consumers are only looking at the quality of the food not how it is well covered and presented. Therefore all makers without any variation should agree to go for the same or less wrapping of goods thereby saving their costs and the environment afterall they are the ones paying taxes for it.</font>

<font color=”#ba0000″>Though consumers are aware of the over-packaging yet , they buy the product because they look nice with it. </font>Everything is fine when the packaging is necessary for the product. For example, products such as glass bottle, cosmetics, brittle ones needs careful packaging otherwise they might break during transportation. Moreover, if not handled properly, this might cause a lot of damage to the Processor, whereas for products which certainly doesn’t need much of packaging such as chocolates, biscuits and other luxury items ,comes with a lot of unnecessary wrappers just for the sake of attracting customers. For example, I noticed recently that for Valetine’s day, a chocolate brand made a large chocolate with a lots of outer packaging and notes to make it appealing to the youngsters. The great irony is that the company gained tremendous response to the campaign and the sales pitched high though it had the same chocolate inside a different package. Consumers should be aware that packaging doesn’t really change many things with the product or its taste . On the other hand, consumers should start carrying their own bags to purchase products in order to avoid plastics and its overall usage. This will also help the retailers who will use plastic covers less.

In conclusion, Though makers may be fully responsible for limiting wrappers, I believe that consumers are also liable for it given that they are the ones who are using the end product.

Most people would believe that preserving the environment is liable to the government but they are by no means only their responsibility, as we shall see.

Admittedly, Government plays a key role in safeguarding the environment and working on measures to secure it for future generations. However, they should introduce more legislations to mitigate the alarming issues such as air pollution, water pollution etc. To illustrate, there should be some laws which encourages big manufacturers to move from urban areas to villages thereby reducing the fumes produced by them. Furthermore , with the help of technology, government can encourage citizens to recycle the plastic waste which saves the environment from plastic disposal everywhere mainly from waterbodies. For example , Germany has introduced a new method of recycling where if a person disposes five plastic bottles inside a machine, it gives a one pound for free. Now that’s innovative and fun for folks to do as they are also earning through the process and they get a sense of benevolence.

On the other hand, People should also take equal responsibility in caring for the nature as the world is not made by one. One of the vital problems faced in our surroundings is air pollution which is mainly caused by vehicle emission. People should consider using personal vehicles in rare cases thereby reducing the harmful cases emitted. Cars are major sources of two kinds of pollution such as air and noise pollution. Another opportunity for people to take part in protecting the environment is by low consumption of plastic materials. They can opt for not purchasing things made out of, or packaged using plastics. In addition to this, they can use their own recyclable cloth bags and thereby reducing the production of plastics covers.

As saving an environment is a big phenomena and it involves a lot of work, mobilizing all possible forces is the only way. To conclude, every individual and government should work together to protect the environment.

January 19, 2022 at 10:08 AM in reply to: Task2 (Essay writing) : Office design

Most of the organizations prefer designing open space cubicles instead of traditional designs in the recent days. Though the traditional designs are providing many benefits as such, I believe open office is for sure more advantageous. Let us consider the pros and cons of the open space layout.

Firstly, open office cubicles helps in better communication between the employees. When in a closed environment, people rarely get to discuss or share a joke at time. This kind of interaction helps in relieving stress and makes the work less difficult. Furthermore, they also get to discuss their views, provide solutions and share their experiences within their team, which in turn creates coordination and improves the teamwork. In addition to this, Open space layout is cost effective than normal traditional office spaces. Companies can save up the cost of buying separate tables and arranging space for every individual staff instead, they could provide employees with benefits or other facilities.

The cons of this setup include lack of privacy and distractions. For Instance, when an employee has to complete a lot of work with a tight deadline, in an open space, people get distracted so easily with multiple conversations running in the background. Consequently this leads to a delay in completion of work and thereby reduction in the quality of work. Secondly, Some employees carry top confidential information that is not to be shared with anyone. However, in an open cubicle setup, keeping a secret becomes laborious since anyone can hear or see anything.

To conclude, though open office layout has certain disadvantages, I believe that it does provide more benefits. For example, consider the current scenario, if we all were working in closed separate rooms before Covid – 19 epidemic, currently it would be awkward and less fun to attend online meeting rooms. On the other hand, all our lives would be bored to hell if we would not have those fun-filled memories of chats and giggles we shared in our office premises. This kind of team coordination and spirit is mainly possible because of the open-space cubicles. Therefore, I believe that open space layout is much more beneficial and outweigh its drawbacks.

  • @falak From 2006 to 2018, the number of seals, whales, and dolphins recorded in the Gormez Straits was shown in the bar chart below.

It is observed that in the year 2006, the number of seals were 42 higher than the other two. The number of Whales were around 25 and the number of Dolphins were much less of around 17 only. In the year 2010, the figure of Seals, Whales and Dolphins were almost the same ranging from 20- 25. The digits increased for Seals and Dolphins by 10 numbers however decreased for Whales by 3 in the year 2014.

There was a dramatic increase in total from the year 2014-2018 under category of Seals and Dolphins whereas Whales only increased a little from 22 to 28. The rise of Dolphins from 32 to 51 and Seals from 35 to 45 were witnessed. In comparison, Seals have diminished from 42 in 2006 to 25 in the mid period later reaching the same heights in the year 2018. Though Dolphins started at 15 in population, it grew slowly year by year, and reached a great level around 50 in the year 2018. Compared to Dolphins and Seals, Whales maintained their numbers more or less in the same range between 20 -30 from 2006-2018.

    Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to inform about the loss of my new DSLR camera during my recent visit to London, which fortunately was covered by a travel insurance policy by your company.

I recently purchased this Canon Mark 3 camera with its telescopic lens which had a green safari print on its skin for 2 lakhs INR. It was placed safe inside a black camera backpack with a keychain of BTS hanging on its front zip.

In short I was carrying this camera during my trip from Chennai to London last week. On reaching London, I <font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>am certain that I had it with me before boarding the taxi on Friday night. Then right after the taxi dropped us , I </font>realized<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”> that the camera bag is missing. But by then, the taxi drifted off before I could stop them.</font>

<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>It would be of great help if you could accept my claim and release 100 percent replacement cost for the camera at the earliest.</font>

    <font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>For any further information, feel free to reach out to me.</font>

    <font color=”#ba0000″>Yours faithfully,</font>

January 14, 2022 at 7:07 AM in reply to: Task 2 (Problem/solution essay) : Traffic congestion

Traffic Jam is one of the most profound issues faced by every metropolitan city. Traffic jams mostly occur during major roads or right near big malls, theatres, bus stands and railway stations. It is crowded by vehicles on major roads that many people use to travel to work or school.

Now what is the main reason behind a traffic jam? Though we are living in a major city where all facilities are provided, still the roads are very much broken and damaged. Most of the roads connecting to major places are destroyed by weather or by car accidents. The solution for reducing traffic jam is taking Public Transportation. Usage of Public transportation is efficient, reliable and at times faster than personal vehicles. It is economical and provides discounts for senior citizens and students. People can save a lot by eliminating the need to pay for parking, car insurance and not to mention gasoline.

The other cause for hold-up of vehicles is people’s hesitation to use Buses and Trains. For example , I noticed the other day that most of the people who used big cars such as Sumo, Nexon and i20 had only only person travelling in it. For an Individual person, taking a bus would be much more appropriate. On the other hand every car only had a single person taking it. This seems to be waste of energy, money and this mindset leads to traffic jam. The government should encourage people to take public transportation. The government should provide necessary amenities in buses and trains . Furthermore it should increase the number and frequency of the rides so as to make it less crowded and more comfortable.

To summarize, the main causes for traffic jams are roads in bad condition and people’s hesitation towards Public transportation. Therefore if everyone starts to take Public transport, the traffic will reduce to a great extent.

The chart depicts the percentage of household budget for the essential goods in China for two years mainly in 1995 and 2011.

After observing shrewdly, in 1995 and in 2011 the major portion of the budget goes to Food which constitutes from 50 – 70 percent of the chart .The money spent on Food depleted 9 percent over the years.

Moreover budget was split unequally between Clothing, Medicine and Household goods under both the years.

For instance, Money spent on Clothing had decreased a percent of 1 which was not a drastic change as compared to Medicine which had increased almost 7 percent. Also the budget for Household goods too increased by 4 percent respectively.

Recently, I have been promoted to the role of Line Producer for the show ” The Enchanted”. This project is being carried out by our London team which is now headed by me. I believe meeting the artists on the floor and interacting with them on a daily basis will help me better coordinate the project. It will also help me understand the Pros and Cons of the shots. I can get in sync with the requirements of the team thereby convey it to the client.

On my absence here , my day to day duties will be taken over by Ms. Priya, Project Coordinator.

It would be of great help if you could accept my request and help me in making the necessary arrangements.

I look forward for a positive response.

January 6, 2022 at 9:46 AM in reply to: Task 2 ( discuss both the views) : University or Job

It is true that some people believe that studying in university/college is much better that getting a job right away after that. The reason for this belief might be because majority of the society goes into a Professional field such as Information Technology , Communication and Software Development. These professions pay a lot more income and requires more knowledge and learning. Also obtaining a university degree shows that the candidate has gained perseverance, passion and commitment from his three to four years of studies and researches he might have taken for Learning. His degree is the convincing proof of his competency. With the growing world and technology, there are many competitive people searching for jobs and very little job openings in the field. Therefore, obtaining a university degree gives the candidate a plus than a person who has fewer certificates/knowledge.
Although People believe that completing a course in an university gives a plus , this type of approach only works in certain fields of Industry. There are still some industries where experience speaks more than a degree. Industries such as media, post production, Teaching, music, dance and a lot more needs experience more to show the world about the talent of the individual. A degree would be helpful for the person to get a job but if the person wants to consistently stay at the job, he/she has to gain hands-on experience and improve their talent to pursue their passion and career. Also at the end of the day, money matters. In some perspective , most people work to meet their own financial needs. Therefor gaining experience through jobs first helps them to be much more successful in their career and life.
In Conclusion, in my opinion getting a job right after school is much better than getting into an university/college. The main reason is that in an university we don’t get to improve our passion or only work towards our goal. We waste a lot of time learning things that are not useful for us to build our career rather we read the syllabus that is already jotted out for everyone. But in a job, we can learn and move towards our goals and passion. Therefore it is best to obtain a job that we are passionate about and make ourselves a successful person.
