    Dear John,
I have got an intimation from the head office in the United States, to come and work for six months. There are a few challenges that need to be addressed regarding the current project.

There is a really fascinating and critical problem head office is facing, regarding one of the projects handled in clients premise. Due to security concerns, the work cannot be done outside the client’s premises, and they are finding it difficult to find experts on the subject. This is a six months task and I have to leave after one month. I have started knowledge transfer of my current project with Mr Jack. He is really catching up with the project, but his lack of experience and the complexity of the task may become overwhelming for him. I would like you to arrange Miss Lekshmi, associate architect to provide necessary support whenever need arise.

I am confident, the project will move smoothly in my abscence with said arrangement. Please do conatct me, if you have any concerns.

    yours sincerely,
    Jose

January 4, 2022 at 9:52 AM in reply to: Task 2 ( discuss both the views) : University or Job

University and college education is considered as the best way to have a successful carrier by some, while others consider getting a job after school is the best way. A University degree is required for some jobs and its importance is increasing daily. Getting a job earlier on will largely increase the work experience of an individual. I consider education is really important.

In some specialized jobs like research, an advanced degree is a must, For some jobs like managerial jobs, the nourishment and interactivity provided by on-campus education can be considered as a great boon. In fact, some companies will not accept your resume without the university or college education present in the resume. Higher education is the only way for some to jumpstart their career, the days especially if they are not on an entrepreneurial path. You can see a great example, Sundar Pichai. He did his BS degree from IIT, later he did MS from Sandford and MBA from Pennsylvania, and currently, he is the CEO of the Alphabet.

On the other hand, some go on to get a job immediately after completing high school, this will help in making the person more responsible and earn money very early on, the duration of the experience the person gain is invaluable, If you take the example of Sundar Pichai, he would have already had a 10-year experience while he completes his education. There are many successful entrepreneurs who did not go to college, Steve Jobs is the biggest name here, who created the most valuable company in the world. But the success rate of such ventures is just 100 to 1. So, a backup plan is always required, education is a great backup plan.

In conclusion, there are two opinions, on one hand, some consider education is necessary for a successful career and others believe going straight to job after school is the best way, Since the entry to the job is becoming more and more restrictive, Education in universities is very important to get into a promising career.

December 28, 2021 at 9:45 AM in reply to: Task 2 ( Two part question) : local food

We can see a trend were in, people are consuming their food from various parts of the world rather than traditional cuisine. There are many contributing facts for this increasing trend, the most important one being globalization. I see this as a good development as variety is always good.

This trend is exuberated due to globalization and global networks. As seen a lot of Dine-ins is being opened which serves international food. Due to globalization, a lot of global brands are opening their eateries everywhere. It has turned to a lifestyle statement due to influences from media advertisement, social media, and foreign travelers. There are a lot of international food programs from channels like Travel and living, with shows like MasterChef, which showcases talents, that inspires a chef in us, A lot of raw materials, that was previously unknown to us is now available that fuel the ignited flame. Global networks enable trading and advertising a walk in the park, these make raw materials accessible. Big examples of this include fast-food chains like McDonald’s, KFC, and Subway opening in every nook and corner.

This trend can be considered as a good development since variety is considered beneficial for health. There is historical evidence supporting this, British monarchs had always lived longer than commoners, many might argue this is due to better health care, but it is seen that they seldom get sick, historians argue this is mainly due to the variety of foods sourced from various colonies around the world. Now due to disappearing borders, you need not be a monarch to have a better quality of food and cuisines.

In conclusion, globalization has allowed us to enjoy more varied food from around the globe, benefiting our health, and I think this trend is only getting more and more prominent as national boundaries are blurring with each passing time.

December 23, 2021 at 9:49 AM in reply to: Task 2 (Is it a positive or negative development): Shopping

Shopping is a fulfilling experience and is considered as a form of entertainment by many, especially in western countries, Nations promotes consumerism since it drives the economy, this can be considered as a positive impact of this phenomenon, but the negative side, like long term mental and economic impact of the individual far out ways the positive note.

An economy is alive and well flourished when money changes hands, To increase GDP, countries promote shopping, but we should consider the price we are paying especially to the vast majority of its citizens.

We need to first analyze why people like consumerism, shopping for entertainment stimulates, dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is interpreted as pleasure by the brain, resulting in considering this as entertainment, however, dopamine is like a drug, it is short-lived, and more powerful dopamine is required further round to the lane. This will result in requiring more for self-gratification. This will lead a person to depression, Recent research journals show this trend is increasing in teens these days. Companies know about dopamine and will fine-tune advertisements so that you spend more money.

Shopaholicism has a direct impact on financial aspects for individuals, If you see successful personalities, who have expanded their wealth always think, if a product is necessary and will it make money in the future for them if we see celebrities buying lavish objects, it in itself is marketing themselves making them influencers, companies do pay them. Spending money unnecessarily on unwanted items will reduce the wealth and in time of emergency will lead a person scrambling for finances. the people who are more impacted by this are people who are not super wealthy, which makes up the majority of a countries population.

As evident from the above paragraph, we can conclude that the negative impact on one health mentally and financial distress caused by an unnecessary spending spree, far outweighs the positive side for an individual, Although we can see people’s behavior as contradictory to this.

  • These days. more and more parents are sending their young ones abroad for their studies. Good social networking is a great boon in doing so, on the other hand, there are a lot of risks involved as well.

One of the biggest advantages is having a strong international social network, wherein they can expose themselves to varied people from different nationalities and walks of life. This exposure will usually help in developing great interpersonal and good leadership qualities. Another advantage is getting quality education from world-renown universities. The syllabus of top universities is well in tune with the industry standards, which will help in career and will also be a highlight for potential recruiters, which can be seen in the current employment market. examples of great CEOs in tech companies like Microsoft, Google, Twitter and, oracle are examples of these achievements.

Contradictorily, there is a higher risk involved in studying abroad, consider the scenario, wherein the person realizes the course is not for him after doing this great commitment of coming abroad for education, the person is at a total loss. Another high risk is the financial commitments the family has to go through. A lot of parents are taking loans for their kid’s education and many a time are in financial crisis, with an uncertainty of the future. We can see a lot of asset seizures these days due to loan defaults taken out for education, or living with peanuts after paying off the debts.

In conclusion, the strong development path that is provided from strong networking to career growth can be seen as a principal advantage for studying abroad, But the higher risk involved personally and financially can be considered as the key disadvantage.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter regarding the advertisement you placed in the magazine, regarding taking care of your wonderful 6-year-old.

I love children from very early own, while growing up, I was sure whom i want to be. It is to cater for the young ones. During my teens, I have served as a babysitter for my neighbors.

I am professionally trained for Manny service from Norland’s, which is considered as the most prestigious institute for training for becoming a Manny/nanny. The institute is located in the UK, and the people who graduated from here have served the biggest families around the world. We are trained in all aspects of child care, compact training in case of possible attacks. Specialized training is also given in traditional medicine, children’s food, and how to make them grow mentally, one good thing about it is we will try to make a connection to parents more by blending into the background.

I had previously been employed by a family for 3 years taking care of their 4 young ones, I stayed with them. Since they are moving out to another country, I am looking into new venues.

I will dedicate all my time caring for your kids, also will provide space wherever necessary for the kid’s growth. and during free time, I know stitching and weaving, which would help the kids as well.

Hope to hear from you soon, regarding the opportunity. and can share the reference of the previous family.

    Yours faithfully,

December 13, 2021 at 9:57 AM in reply to: Task 2 (discuss both views)- Newspaper

Although, some consider the finest way to consume media is newspaper, while others consider other media such as social media, news feeds, and televisions are much better in delivering the news, However, I consider newspaper is still the best way for consumption of the news.

News published in the newspaper are well researched and multiple reviews are done before publishing them. They are in-depth and precise. If you see the recent news about the death of our beloved chief of defence staff, Bipin Rawat, the news had a structure, it clearly provides all the information and back story in a clear and precise way, but we have to wait till morning for the news.

On the other hand, news published in other media provides quick and current information prevailing to a situation. We cannot wait around for a newspaper if there is an announcement of the cyclone. However, the news consumed this way is based on what is called click rate, here the heading is made juicy so that people click the news most of the time the titles are misleading. The amount of misinformation through social media is staggering, If you watch the news closely, you can see more countries are trying to control the misinformation through legislation, although most of the efforts are futile until now. I remember once I got news about a particular covid restriction from one of the reputable news outlets, that those taking kids to the beach will be fined, I shared with a few of my friends who like to take their kids to the beach. Later in the evening, I saw in the news that misinformation is spreading about this. I went back to the original link and they just replaced its content with something else altogether.

So we can conclude that consumption of news through the newspaper is still relevant and should be considered as the best way to consume news, as they best adhere to good journalistic practices.

December 7, 2021 at 6:57 AM in reply to: Agree/Disagree (Reward or Punishment)

It is a general consensus that positive reinforcements are better for students’ academic performance than negative reinforcements. A sense of achievement that is a result of reward-based, will help in achieving greater success in life. Negative reinforcement may result in students quitting and having low self-esteem.

When a person is rewarded more often, the dopamine levels are increased in the brain and the person feels a sense of self-accomplishment. This sense of self accomplishments will motivate the student to work harder and achieve more in their life. social media is an indirect example of this, wherein the studies have shown the brain activity favoring people who get more likes, which is actually causing the addiction. here likes can be parallelized to the rewards and the addiction to working hard for greater success.

Secondly, punishments will put immense pressure on students’ minds, this will result in a lack of concentration and may actually result in candidates quitting their education. Punishments are considered archaic and outdated means of education. During my masters there was an examiner, who came for laboratory skill evaluation, he was scolding and making fun of everyone. later, the students were so disheartened that some thought it is impossible for them to peruse higher education and quit their job. It was disheartening for others as well.

In conclusion, reward-based education will definitely help in a student’s education, whereas punishment often has a negative impact on their growth. The sense of achievement as a result of rewards and the negative impacts of punishment definitely points in this direction.

December 3, 2021 at 7:16 AM in reply to: Task 2 : (discuss both views- Art )

Arts and crafts are perceived to be an integral part of academics while others consider this as a fool’s errand. The arts help in the development of creativity and mental growth of the children.

Arts and crafts help in the mental growth of kids development and induce creativity and imagination. Art can be of any form music, drawing, dancing, etc. anything that induces creativity. This will provide the children with tools in the arsenal of his life, to become great leaders and the one who inspires others. If you take the life of Great Davinci, he is a person of intrigue and inspiration who has dabbled in arts at a very young age. His creativity ran wild and was one of the pioneers who merged science and arts into a single form.

On the other hand, many argue that learning arts are a wasteful errand and it should be time spent elsewhere. They argue that this will not prepare for them their future as this does not prepare for their primary career skill. You can see a lot of struggling artists who are trying to get their big break, and their numbers are staggering. During my childhood, I used to visit a local art studio for art lessons, I could see a person who is struggling in life but has endorsed art in his life, trying to make a break in his passion.

In conclusion, Arts should be considered as a vital part of every educational curriculum as it enhances creativity, although it can be seen from another viewpoint as a waste of time.

November 30, 2021 at 2:23 PM in reply to: Task 2 (Problem/solution essay) : Traffic congestion

One of the biggest issues in an urban area is traffic congestion. One of the primary reasons for traffic congestion is poor planning. To circumvent this an appropriate planning is necessary.

Poor planning results in terrible traffic congestions. One of the key areas is near the junctions. During the initial phase, a junction traffic control might start with a simple signal, and when the traffic jams increase, more and more complex traffic control systems should be involved. One another area we often see congestion is when there is maintenance on the road, as there are no alternate routes to manage traffic. Other causes of traffic congestions are people not obeying the law. Another reason for traffic congestion is a huge number of people using private vehicles instead of public transportations like buses, which can carry a large number of persons.

There should be good coordination between national planning, county planning, and city planning to have their growth predictions aligned in order to have proper planning of the road, they could come up with road sizes in order to meet the type of vehicles that might pass by. There should be coordination between different departments for the maintenance to avoid congestions during maintenance and when designing routes, there should always be alternate routes to bypass congestion due to maintenance or other mishaps. People should develop a sense of responsibility and adhere to traffic rules. Law enforcement can also use surveillance techniques as deterrent so that people will obey the laws. We should also reduce the gaps in public transportations, as this encourages people to use public transportation to a greater extend. There is also a mentality change that is needed for people to use public transportation more and more.

In conclusion, proper planning will help in mitigating traffic jams to a certain extend.

November 24, 2021 at 5:36 PM in reply to: Essay advantages and disadvantages ( Children )

The following essay will demonstrate having children too early or too late will have its own challenge and the best ti,e to have them is in the middle of it.

If we have children very early on, this can affect higher education, when a person has kids the priorities gets shifted and we have to care for them this can affect their ability to advance their studies. It can also affect the career, as it can become difficult to switch the career for the growth. Economical impact will also be more this case as the earnings will be less, due to the experience factor. But in this case people are more energetic and can spend more time with them.

On the other hand, if a person tries to conceive at a later age, the success rate of ever conceiving will be greatly reduced. If the plan of having kids did not succeed there will be a greater stress and a sense of regret to the parents. There is also difficulty of raising kids in this case, as a persons health will deteriorate with age. There is also possibility of loosing out time with kids due to advanced age. but there will be larger financial stability when the kids are conceived later on.

If kids are born not so early on or too late, the probability of conceiving is also high and there will be a better financial stability for them. So i think a middle ground is the better time to have kids.
