Nowadays, advanced technology eased people’s life in respective of selling and purchasing products or services, as a result, there is an expansion in e-commerce, which effected physical stores to disappear in urban and rural areas. This essay will argue why I moderately disagree with the changes this has brought to retailing outlets though there are a lot of benefits to electronic shopping.

To begin with, there are a lot of factors that lead to an upsurge in online business than the normal pattern of shopping. Firstly, people got in numerous choices in regards to the products and services that are offered with great discounts at their doorsteps by ordering them online without any hustle of moving from shop to shop. Secondly, It has saved time, journey, and fuel costs to reach the markets, in addition to that online shopping act has one shop solution for all the needs of materialistic needs. For example, I have ordered everything online during the covid-19 pandemic with contactless delivery, which has fulfilled my needs within the mentioned time frame. These are the reason, why people prefer online shopping though lots of shops are available within the reach.

However, we can’t ignore the offline shopping merits because of the practical reason behind it. An old or younger generation or illiterate person cannot opt for an online pattern of purchasing things and the supreme quality of the products can be felt only by touching or seeing in our nacked eye before buying it, which cannot be possible while choosing it online. furthermore, many times visiting shops could give the satisfaction of purchase and allows us to bargain accordingly. For instance, I brought a beautiful cookery pot in the open market for less cost with great quality but the rate for the same product online was very high. theses are the few reasons why a lot of customers still prefer to shop in stores than online, which led outlets to survive though online shopping popularity peaks.

To conclude, it’s clearly evident, that virtual shopping is a bone to mankind in today’s world and its advantages override the benefits of the traditional method of shopping for a different reason, this has caused a lot of stores to shut down the business or changes the aspects of merchandise. I think, the trend of visiting stores will likely exist nevertheless increase or decrease the rise in online merchandise.

The provided pie charts illustrate the proportions of five different modes of commute used by people to reach their workplace or an educational facility in 2004 and 2009.

Overall, cars and buses were mostly used for travel to work and to a university, while, bicycles, walking, and trains were used as their least choice of transportation in the first year, although, this trend changed after four years, in which, cars were replaced by buses and other three modes of transportation usage were gradually increased after four years but still used less for travel.

August 17, 2022 at 1:47 PM in reply to: Task 2 (Is it a positive or negative development): Retirement

In the modern world, convalescent homes are becoming more common for many good reasons, these days some elderly people are wishing to move to these homes rather than prefer to live with their extended family. This essay will discuss, why I think, this trend has a positive impact despite of few drawbacks, which can be surpassed by the benefits of elderly people living in those facilities.

To start with, There are more practical advantages associated with the elderly living in retirement homes. Firstly, It gives them a roof and makes them feel independent, for those who are neglected by their family members or leading a lonely life and have a feeling of dependent on their children for daily activities. For example, many elderly living facilities provide safety and continuous care based on each individual physical status. Secondly, these homes give comfort and increase elderly people’s confidence by allowing them to communicate with the other members in that homes to maintain their social skills. Therefore, elderly people moving to assisted facilities has brought dual benefits for both old age people and their families.

However, there are minor unavoidable downsides that cannot be ignored, which come along with the advantages of rest homes. many old people might get deprived of their family members’ love and care and living out of their own comfort zone can make them feel lost. furthermore, It might be a challenging task for many of them to adjust to the new environment. In addition to this, this trend can increase the gap between old people and their grandchildren. For instance, elderly people cannot involve in their grandchildren mile stones or their daily activities, which is a great loss for both of them. these pitfalls are unpreventable but can be reduced with the regular visits of their family members to these facilities.

To conclude, I think, It is clearly evident that retirement homes are crucial and are a boon to elderly further living based on their individual circumstance, although minor disadvantages can be eliminated by pre-planned care and support of their family members and the old age homes management.

August 9, 2022 at 1:08 PM in reply to: Task 2 (Problem solution) : Brain drain

Nowadays, moving abroad for carer progression is becoming more common among teachers and health care workers in underdeveloped countries. This essay will discuss the causes that have been brought by this trend and also explain the solutions to change this situation.

To begin with, there are several problems faced by underdeveloped countries due to educational and health care staffs brain drain. Firstly, It has caused a lack of professionals in the health industries as result patients do not get the attention on time that is needed by experienced doctors. For example, there are always job openings for trained doctors in poor countries. Secondly, It is difficult to find qualified and fully pledged teachers because most of them move to wealthy countries to upskill them for economical benefits hence students from needier countries are deprived of the quality of education by experienced tutors. For instance, My friend’s son is attending the weekly English online classes thought by a trained Australian teacher. Therefore, less developed countries will not be able to offer their citizens good education and health care in return, which will hinder their ability to compete on a global scale and it might lead to a devastating situation in emergent nations.

However, there are a lot of measures that can be taken to control and gradually arrest these issues. Primarily government should increase the wages and provide free training for health and education sector workers in return, they can also be asked to sign a bond for certain years to remain the employment to benefit the particular industry and also service users. In addition to that, particular industries should come up with new ideas to enhance professional workers’ skills by providing paid occupational training and survey should be conducted at least once a year to fix any issue and improve their well-being. To illustrate, providing life insurance to health and educational workers and to their families to encourage more people to remain at work and also younger adults to join the workforce. so by taking the following actions poorer countries can retain the professionals and also can benefit both.

To conclude, It is clearly evident that problems due to migration includes a dearth of talents and less dedicated skilled workers in the home country, while, the suggestion to reverse this trend is to increase their salary and make the professional courses free and provide more beneficial perks to keep them in the country.

August 4, 2022 at 10:46 PM in reply to: Task 2 ( discuss both the views) : economic progress

Nowadays the major topic of discussion in many nations is how to become an independent and strong country. many official authorities believe and also constantly aim to develop their country economically but some section of people believe that It is also crucial to focus on improving other sectors. This essay will discuss both views and justify why I think, It is fundamental to target all the sectors equally than shedding the light on one specific segment.

To start with, There are different reasons for Government officials to trust that improving economically is a priority. Any country which has a good economical foundation could survive in any difficult situation and also can support the public. For example, Russia is a strong and developed country that is fighting against Ukraine without any help from the neighboring countries. In addition to that, when the country is stable economically, It can compete with other nations on the international platform. For example, the UK announced Brexit from the European Union but still operating well in aspects of economics. These are the factors why officials of the country mainly target only an economical upswing.

On the other hand, a certain part of the demographics advocates that other sector needs equal attention as the field of finance for the country. Firstly, people need to have good health and peace of mind to enjoy the economical prosperity of the country, If a country has poor health sectors and is regularly under the threat of war from another country, It will hinder the country’s economic progress. For instance, many European countries were affected badly during the covid-19 pandemic though they all are developed economically. Secondly, people’s education plays a key role in the administrative field of any government because people without education cannot plan and implement any strategies to take their country to next level financially because without education people cannot produce new ideas for the country’s advancement and exhibit their country image in any division. Therefore, It is more important to be liberal than to be stagnant in the idea of boosting the field of the country’s income.

To conclude. It is clearly evident from both points of view that a country cannot be led based on its wealth only but also on other elements like education and health aspects that need to be considered for the welfare of people. I think It is really important for country authorities to decide what areas and issues are needed serious attention than being biased.
