Culture has a great impact on individual performance and is formed by language, beliefs and society that are specific to the environment. Some people argue that individual cultural identity is influenced by the culture of the country where one was born and grew up. While others believe that the origin has less impact on a person’s cultural identity.

An individual’s culture can be defined by one’s country of origin because we are very susceptible to the environment we live in. The culture in which one is born and brought up forms one’s cultural identity. A study shows that once an individual acquires a sense of cultural identity, it becomes a rigid part of their identity, and stays the same throughout their life course. It is feasible to believe that an individual’s culture is defined by the country of their origin. Individuals easily accept things from the target environment where he/she lives in. For example, in nation people capture the traditions, beliefs, and language easily and do not need to learn special because from origin they are liable to accept the environment. On the other hand, there are many reasons to agree with the second view. First of all, for many visitors, it is difficult to follow the culture of that country because that would be different from their own culture and in some cases they may be incompatible with their beliefs. For instance, Indian who go to foreign countries may find it difficult to get the same food and taste they have in their food. In conclusion, it seems that both points have their own advantages and disadvantages. But I think that a balanced exchange of culture and behaviours will benefit both countries and individuals. Also, this may have a positive impact on the economy of both countries.

    Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to take action against the reporter who complained about the new TV program telecasted every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 PM.

CWC is a reality show where the comedians and the cooks entertain the audience with hilarious content that people can easily relate to. It helps in reducing our stress, getting relief from work pressure and making us feel delighted by watching the program. Not only the younger generation gets elated while watching this program, but people of all ages eagerly wait for the show every weekend. TRP rating of this program is quite high as they telecast different concepts, costumes and tasks every week. It is an entertainment show. We shouldn’t take it seriously and troll the program. Sometimes the episodes may not meet our expectations but we shouldn’t take that into account and expect the show to go in the same way.

Please do take action against the reporter who is spoiling the good thoughts about the program. I would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sripriyadharshini

One of the most debated issues of the 21st century is the ever-going comparison between e-books and paperbacks. Ever since the tech-savvy community has raised their voice in support of the supremacy of e-books over paperback books, people have started considering the fact whether e-books would ultimately replace the real books and take a step forward toward a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle. In my opinion, e-books are better than real books. Ebooks mean ‘Electronic books’ which can be viewed on a computer screen. It consists of a read-only format which is non-editable. They are available in different formats such as pdf(Portable document format), epub (electronic publications), azw(Amazon kindle). There is no need to safeguard or track the ebooks in a place like a library.

Ebooks are available free of cost based on the authors and publishers. Anyone can create an ebook and publish it on their own. We can even change the size of the ebook according to our wish by avoiding glasses. It is portable we can read from anywhere if we have a device in our hand.

Ebooks save our environment because papers are prepared by cutting down millions of trees. Due to this, we may face climatic changes in the future. We can download ebooks whenever we need them. In libraries or shops, we may be not able to find the book that we require but we can find an ebook easily.

Compared with books, ebooks are far better as the pages may get torn or even highlight the paragraph or words in books. One of the major disadvantages of ebooks is we need an internet connection to download the copy and in some cases, it might be charged. Older people may not be able to use ebooks as some wouldn’t know how to use the technologies so they prefer using books and magazines as they would be comfortable with it.

Ebooks have both advantages and disadvantages. It is in the mindset of people and the availability of things books and ebooks can be used.

    Give some examples

    Respected Sir,

I am writing this letter to inform you about the unfortunate experience I had at your restaurant.

I am Sripriyadharshini. I visited your restaurant today(07/07/2022) at 5:00 PM. I ordered a bowl of fried rice, which was listed as the bestseller on the menu. Usually, preparing a bowl of fried rice takes around 15-20 minutes, but I had to wait for an hour to get my first order served. When I tasted the dish, it was quite bland. Moreover, the rice was half-cooked and the food was oily. I asked the waiter to replace the food or to bring it back after cooking properly but the waiter refused to adhere to my request and started arguing with me. I got fed up with the waiter’s action and left the place after paying the bill of Rs.200. Restaurants are where people experience scrumptious meals. They should try to provide quality food at an affordable price and better customer service so that it is appealing to the customers. Please do refund the amount paid for the food and make sure to bring better customer service and tasty food.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sripriyadharshini

Zoos are places where animals are let to be inside a cage where they don’t get enough freedom to enjoy themselves on their own as they are in the forest. The zoos are making profits from visitors but they are unaware that animals of different species may get attacked or infected, and they may have developmental issues. They may also get psychologically affected as they are confined for a longer period of time. Zoos are not maintained properly as visitors sometimes even throw food at the animals which might affect animals’ health too. The behaviour of animals might change keeping them in limited spaces and will not help in breeding younger ones. Bringing the rare species to zoos may lead to the extinction of that species.

Some of the alternative ways to avoid zoos are Wildlife sanctuaries or parks which are more popular in today’s world, where the environment is the same as the forest. Even tigers and lions are kept in many places like they are living in the forest. We can even watch the animals in our TV programs sitting in our homes.

I don’t say that we don’t want zoos as most people have a negative impact on zoos. Zoos can have the atmosphere of how they live in the forest because we may not experience watching the extinct species and zookeepers should maintain the zoos as animals are not harmed for any purpose.

The table shows the percentage of women in senior management positions in three companies from 1975 to 2015.

While more women were in senior positions at Finsbury Ltd than the other two companies in 1975 at 16%, the trend was fairly erratic with a 2% drop to 14% in 1980, followed by a rise of 1% five years later. In 1985 was increased up to 14%. In 1990, the percentage of seniors women was doubled by 28%. In the final year of 2015, the results show enormous growth of 64% of women in the senior department.

The extremely high percentage for that year, in contrast with that in the following 10 years it noticed a little bit of dropped to that percentage. in 1990 has risen to 22% and in the final year, they reached 26%.

Looking at Bamforth Ltd., the data shows us every year from 1975 to 2000 women’s senior positions was increased by 2% every 5 years. However, in 2015 the women’s power in management reached 46%.

Overall, seeing all the graphs data we can see Eldan Ltd. had the most significant rise in senior women management positions in all these 10 years.

By contrast, at Eldan Ltd women fared much better. In 1975, 3% of senior posts were occupied by women with no change five years on. By 1985, the figure had increased to 14%, doubling to 28% in 1990. Ten years afterwards, there was a 5% increase in female senior management jobs with a near twofold jump in 2015 to stand at 64%, the highest for the three companies.

The situation was less remarkable at Bamforth Ltd than the other two firms except for the year 2015. In 1975, the percentage of senior posts held by women was 9% climbing at the rate of 2% in each subsequent period until 2000, after which it leapt to 46%.

From the data, it is clear that women dominated senior posts at Eldan by 2015.

    Dear Albert,

I’m delighted that you are coming to Singapore next month. I think it would be great if you could stay with me and my family, who send you their best wishes. Otherwise, if you prefer, I can easily book you a cheap but comfortable hotel near the beach where you can be more independent.

There are lots of things to do in my city. If I were you, I’d spend some days on the beach relaxing. There are several interesting museums and temples which/that I’m sure you will enjoy. One place you really should visit is an excellent theme park called Sentosa, where you’ll want to spend the whole day. Also, you ought to go to our excellent night safari, which is about an hour away by bus.

You don’t need to bring a lot of clothes since the weather is normally warm and sunny, and of course, rainy. However, in the evening it’s a bit cooler, so you may need a jersey and a jacket.
Please let me know exactly when you’re coming so/so that I can meet you at the airport. It’ll be great to see you again so we can get up-to-date with all our news!

    Love

I hope you are well. I’m happy that you planned to stay in my home town. I’m just writing to tell you a few things that you need to know during your visit to (name of the place).

As you planned to come to Tamilnadu, you will need to book your train ticket and hotel accommodation earlier while it is sometimes difficult to get on festival days. I suggest you prefer to travel after June to avoid summer.

Although my home town is known for its cultural heritage, there are several spots to visit in (name of a place) like movie theatres, shopping malls and amusement parks. Around 150km from Kanchipuram, there is a place called Mahabalipuram. There you can see a wide variety of sculptures, caves and monuments. I’m sure you will be surprised by that place and shopping would also be nice. Also, in Kanchipuram, you can purpose a wide variety of silk sarees.

As my home town is also known for its spirituality, you need to take a full dress to avoid exposure. Whereas considering the temperature, take light-weighted clothes. So that you can travel comfortably.

Enjoy your stay and let me known for any help you need I could do.

Please give my best regards to your family.

The high level of violence in the current generation movies tends to erupt social peace. This is always one of the important debates that resume when there is some kind of violence in society, especially when there are teens linked to the issue.

Concerns related to violence created by teens is on a higher frequency and, the pictures and short films are to be blamed to provoke the tendencies for such brutal acts. Let it be from creating chaos on public transports to joining complex networks of cyber-bullying. The animal-like behaviour usually doesn’t pass on to the next generation through the genes, it is always inspired or obtained from an external source. This is where the so-called moving pictures plays a crucial role in shaping the mentality of human nature as it’s easy to manipulate the mind of a youngster when compared to that of a mature adult.

News involving young individuals in crimes are almost like an everyday thing in the current society. All the crimes are executed in a cliched cinematic style, where boys throw acid bottles on the opposite gender, group assaults on weaker sections of people, High-level thefts, clueless murders etc. These animals like activities require inspiration and one can find all the tricks and techniques from the cinemas of the currents era.

The only possible way I can state is to categorise the movies according to the level of exposure to violence and telecast the same to the group of people accordingly. Despite the presence of censor boards for regional and international movies, we are failing to prohibit the children from viewing these A-Rated contents along with the adults. I have witnessed theatres flocked with a huge number of young crowds for adult content. The practical solution to encounter these contents from misleading the young mind is only by forcing age restrictions and, these rules and regulations must be reviewed and verified regularly.

Violence has been a staple of films for quite some time. It helps make the action scenes engaging. However, there are concerns that present-day films contain too much violence. It leads to (what kind of issues – health/mental) issues that are yet to be resolved. Let’s look at them in closer detail.

Presently, the film is the most consumed media among the general public. People irrespective of caste, creed or gender enjoy it. So, it’s safe to say that films have a significant influence on our lives. Certain films help motivate people to achieve their life’s desires. While some movies help those suffering from depression, some others have negative impacts. Films try to justify violence. Heroes commit monstrous acts and try to justify it away by using the adage “The ends justify the means”. This is absolutely the wrong message for the viewers. Sure, most people would consider violent scenes as nothing more than a part of the film. Still, a certain section of moviegoers is considerably influenced by it. Over time they develop rash and uncultured tendencies. This leads to incidents of theft, personal attacks among others. Eventually, societies will turn into a chaotic mess.

Another concern is depression. Some films are filled to the brim with torture and destruction and, they can affect the minds of the viewers. It is most relevant to younger audiences. Scenes of annihilation and death can fill the viewer with a sense of doom which later spirals into mental disorders.

So, how to avoid the adverse effects of films?

The most important measure is censorship. Parts of the film deemed too inappropriate can be removed. Also, special care should be taken to ensure that kids aren’t able to access files that are filled with brutal and merciless scenes to the brim. Even adults who suffer from mental disorders should have limited access to such kinds of films to not over-complicate their medical condition. Film-makers should be encouraged or even mandated by law to find other means to make action sequences exciting.

The above figure neatly demonstrates the television usage of children from 1950-2010. Let’s take a closer look at it.

Television viewing was minimal in the 1950s. However, the following decades saw a linear increase in television usage. This pattern was observed till the early parts of 1980, as the usage of television grew from a meagre 0.5 to 3.8 hours/day in just thirty years. Children spend an astounding number of hours(4) glued to their televisions. After that period it remained relatively stable for about twenty years. The only exception was the momentary drop in usage reported in 1985. However, this drop was followed by a marked increase in usage that peaked at around 4.2 hours/day in 1995. The twenty-first century marked the advent of the digital age. This era has seen a steady decrease in the time children spent on television so far. The value currently stands at 3.5 hours/day. Various estimates predict that it will keep decreasing in the following years.

The graph portrays the time spent on television by the children, from the year 1950 to 2010, that is over six decades. While the x-axis holds the years, the y-axis depicts the hours per day. The non-linear blue line displays the connection between the x and the y axis.

Overall, the time spent on the above mentioned electronic device depicts a steady rise from 1950 to (which year?). There was a minute fall in the graph between 1960 to 1970, which very well caught up and rose to the maximum by the beginning of the 1980s. The mid-years of the ’80s seems to have had a decent fall which later started to rise by the same decade.

The fall in time spent by the children on the idiot-box gradually commenced in the ’90s, continued falling even in the new century that is the year 2000. The reduction in time continued till 2010, but still, it was more than thrice the number of hours spent during the 1950s.

I am writing this letter about my admission to the summer batch of tennis course. I have some concerns to convey regarding the same.

The primary reason for my interest in the course is that being a tennis aficionado, I want to get underway with tennis. However, I couldn’t get hold of a suitable course until I came across the advertisement for this course. It was a laborious process to sketch out a plan and make room for this course in my busy schedule. I could finally fish out some time for the practice.

I was ready to take the plunge when things changed course. Being a medical practitioner, my wife needs to travel next month for a 6-week medical camp. The camp was decided to be held later this year, so I hoped to complete the course by that time. Although now I need to take care of our children as she would be away, besides managing my full-time job. Consequently, it would be impossible for me to complete the course if I join this month.

Due to the unprecedented shift in circumstances, I would like to withdraw my admission to the course. I have paid the course fee in advance; hence I would like to know about the possibility of a refund. I hope the refund would not be an issue as the course has not commenced yet. I am expecting a positive response to my concern.

    Best Regards,

The given table depicts the data of the world’s ten largest populated countries in 2019 with predicted figures in 2100. The figures are presented in millions.

Overall, it’s apparent that except for China and Brazil, all the countries show an increasing population trend. Some new countries like D.R Congo, Ethiopia, Tanzania replaces Bangladesh, Russia and Mexico.

In 2019 china was in the first position with 1,439 million, whereas India was in the second position with 1,380 million but, by 2100 India is projected to have the highest population of 1,551 million and China’s population decreased by 498 million since 2019. Although the USA is predicted to experience an increase in population by 147 million and would amount to 478 million, still it steps down from third to the fourth position. Nigeria would overthrow the USA by moving up from seventh place with 206 million to 730 million. Brazil records a population of 213 million and, it would drop to the tenth place from sixth in 2100 to 177 million a decrease of 36 million

Furthermore, three of the ten most populous countries in the world would no longer be among the top ten in 2100. It would be replaced by three new growing nations. For example, D. R. Congo would hold the sixth position with a population of 296 million. Ethiopia would be in the eighth position with 212 million and Tanzania would take over the ninth place with 178 million.

Recently, an article on the ten most populous countries was released. It was based on the years 2019 and 2100. Let’s take a closer look at it.

In 2019, China was the largest in terms of population(1439 million). India was not too far behind with 1380 million people. However, by 2100 it is estimated that India would claim the top spot(1551 million), as the East Asian countries are facing a massive decline in population. Nigeria is the country predicted to make the biggest strides in its rise to claim the third spot. The United States of America will add about 100 million people to its current tally(331 million). However, that won’t prevent its descent to fourth in the population table. Pakistan is the only nation that will retain its place in the standings. Brazil will tumble down the charts into tenth as it faces negative growth. Countries like Russia, Bangladesh and Mexico will drop out of the table. Interestingly, the new entrants will be solely from Africa. The Democratic Republic of Congo will be the Nation with the most population(296 million) out of the new boys.

In conclusion, we can say that the global population will keep on rising. The continent of Africa will be among the biggest contributors. Europe will not have a single representative in 2100.

This is to inform you that I enrolled on the course at your university on 17th July 2021. I raised the request for the rented apartment and, the institution accepted it. I am thankful to receive a swift reply to my request. However, I won’t be able to move into the apartment next month due to some problems.

Although I have completed all the documentation process for moving to Australia, I forgot to check my college transcript that would expire in 2 days. Hence, I have to visit the university and request a new transcript. I requested some seniors in the university to provide the transcript as soon as possible but they asked me to wait for a month. I planned to take the flight next week but I have to cancel it due to these unforeseen circumstances.

I apologize for the delay and request you to extend the time for 2 months, I will be reaching there in October.

First, I would like to thank you for accepting me into the institute and helping me to find a suitable apartment for my stay during my study.

As informed earlier, I am in the process of getting my study visa, and I was supposed to move to the UK by 1st August. Due to the pandemic, the consulate general of the UK in Delhi is closed. Currently, most of their employees are working from home. Consequently, my study permit is taking a long time to process. Due to this, the entire process has got slower.

Yesterday, I called the consulate and, they informed me that it would take another week to process my visa. As a result, I have to change my plan and postpone my flight by one week.

I am now supposed to land in the UK by 7th August, and I would like to move into the same apartment. Therefore, I request you if you can speak to the landlord and explain my situation.

    Looking forward to your response.

rt education means different things to different people, but for me, art is still an essential part of my life. Nowadays, people like to prefer technical jobs because they feel they can make more money and secure their future, however, they are not aware that being good at technology or business is also an art. People tend to consider science, business, and technology more important than arts, the main cause of it is less knowledge about the professions. In our country, most of the people map out the career for their kids and pressurized them to pursue that and they don’t think about their kidsinterests, additionally, we feel that if we want success and long term benefits then we should be an entrepreneur.

We need to take some initiative to spread the awareness about arts, people should know that art education encourages creativity, thinking out of the box, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. We should take the interview of those who are successful in music, dance, theatre and visual arts and post it on social media. Art education should be the part of the curriculum where children can learn teamwork and change their mindset. If all the academic and professional institutes develop the fundamental of art education, everybody would understand the importance of arts. Folks who are the part of arts they are living their life happily because they know how to solve the conflicts and enjoy all the small moments of their life.

In conclusion, we shouldn’t be biased while choosing our professional careers. Instead of getting influenced by societal prejudices, we need to research and talk to professionals. To draw people’s attention, we must take the help of social media and post the interview of the successful artist

In the past, fine art was considered valued in the world. We still can see several monuments and artefacts from different cultures which amaze people of our generation to think how someone had built this. For example, pyramids from Egypt, Taj Mahal from India, Monalisa painting etc. However, considering today’s need, people perspective has changed and, most are leaning towards modern technology, science, and business. There are several reasons for a gradual decline in fine arts.

First, art has become a difficult career choice for most students, as it does not pay desired income. One has to face a lot of struggles to make a good earning. In recent times, advancements in technologies such as computers, space, etc. have inspired youth to pursue their carrier in these fields as they get a better paycheck and a sustainable lifestyle.

Secondly, to become a great artist for a decent income requires great expertise. This needs a lot of focus, time from the students. They also have to face fierce competition to get good projects or jobs. I think this is much easier for students to do a degree in technology, science and start their carrier in this field as there are huge demands nowadays for engineers and scientists. So, more and more students are making their choices in these fields.

In my view, despite there is of a regular drop-in art’s popularity. We should promote art cultures. One of the ways to preserve arts is to maintain some museums about our art history that should focus on how the world-class painting or structure was made despite no advancement in technology. Government should focus on school’s curriculums for art subjects such as painting and sculpture. Parents also need to see the child’s ability, if he/she is creative and fascinated about painting then they should motivate him/her rather than discouraging.

Nowadays, the importance of arts is considered not as much it used to be appreciated back in the days. Mobile phones, Information technology and financial literacy among the public makes people less vulnerable towards arts. I also believe that the dependence on modern technology in day to day life is the cause of lower interest in arts. Digitalizing Arts are the only solution.

There are many reasons behind the loss of interest in Arts by the human race. Digitalization and the reliance on technology by humans are the major reasons behind the neglect of arts from human beings. In present days, almost every person uses electronic devices such as smartphones and computers. Due to the overuse of gadgets, these people tend to have a low interest in the arts. Secondly, financial studies attract people to become rich. These people who are further attracted by technology and finance show less interest in the arts. Because they think there is no scope in arts and studying it is not valuable. Therefore most of the people neglect Arts in present times

Although the importance of arts has decreased, we can adopt ways to increase the awareness of the general public towards arts. This can be done by digitalizing arts and generating awareness about physical forms of arts, through technology this can be the most effective way to recover arts.

The importance of art has been waning in recent times. A few reasons for it are as follows.

Nowadays, a career in science or technology is considered secure and well paid. The same cannot be said for arts, where only a fraction of people make it to the top. The rest not only miss out but find it difficult to establish themselves in other fields. Arts can be described as a niche field where you need to be incredibly talented, hardworking and lucky to be successful. Therefore, it’s not surprising that many don’t even try as societies actively or passively discourage people from venturing into this field.

Another important factor behind the reduction in the significance of arts is the lack of funding. In ancient and medieval times, many artists had the patronage of their respective Kings. They were rewarded handsomely for their works and lived lavish lives. To be a musician in the King’s court was considered a big honour. Times have changed. Governments don’t allocate enough funds to this sector for several reasons. Their primary concern is to provide for the basic needs of the people. Sadly, arts don’t fall into that category.

In today’s fast-paced world, people don’t have time to appreciate the arts. Their jobs have consumed so much of their time, that they don’t have spare time to watch a movie or visit an art gallery. So, it’s no surprise that movie viewership among others has fallen. An industry that can barely support itself does not appeal to talented artists.

It all sounds grim, but there are certain measures that if adopted can turn things around. First thing’s first, children at a young age need to be encouraged and supported if they are interested and talented in arts. Governments around the world need to allocate more funds and recognize the importance of this field. Public perception of the arts can be changed through various campaigns.

Arts are vanishing from academics and society. We need to take measures to preserve them in modern society.

Firstly, arts are linked to culture. To protect the culture, we need to encourage youngsters to study arts. Many arts like traditional singing and dancing are vanishing fast in the competitive world. Arts are still part of academics in India, but a smaller number of students. Though arts are part of Indian culture smaller number of students choose them as those subjects don’t provide many employment opportunities. Even some people in society have started judging students who take arts which is pulling them back from choosing those streams

Secondly, schools and colleges should make some of the art subjects mandatory for science students. This way younger generation can preserve the extinction of arts to a point. However, large-scale measures like conducting interstate and inter-college competitions every year will also help students to grab the attention of science students. For example, In Andhra Pradesh every year there are cultural festivals held across the colleges and in government offices and a day is celebrated as a cultural day.

Thirdly, the government should make it mandatory for employers in the private sector to reserve some quota for art students by this way it can attract the students for choosing the art streams. Not only that, the government should allocate a special budget and advertise on a mass scale targeting youth about the culture and its importance.

In conclusion, it is a collective responsibility of society to revive the arts and bring them to their old form.

I am Marina Greene, the Software Development (DevOps) freshman student whom you met this morning. I am writing this letter intending to tell you something about myself.

I recently moved to the city for the course. I’m living with my aunt, two streets down North Avenue. My aunt’s Cecilia Greene and will be my local guardian. You can contact her for any requirements that need parental involvement.

I have a bachelor’s degree in computer science – with a DevOps specialization from Liverpool John Moores University, UK. All of my schoolings were back in my hometown, North Yorkshire, England. I have signed up to work part-time in a book store near the college, where I work 4 hours all weekdays after college.

I have chosen this course due to my zeal for DevOps. I strongly believe that DevOps practices need to reach all fields of software development. It has the potential to bring a major transformation to the way IT projects work. I am enthusiastic enough to plunge deeper into the field with this course.

I hope that our time here would enrich my knowledge of the key concepts. I am also mindful of my duties as a student. It was a pleasure meeting you today.

    Hello Dr Smith,

My name is Marina. I am 25 years old and, I belong to the state of Rajasthan, India. I like to fill my time reading books. My favourite genre is science fiction. Apart from that, I love playing basketball and gazing at the stars at night while listening to Bollywood numbers.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in science from Rajasthan University in 2020 with top of the class achievement. Since then, I have been working with Randall Brothers Microlimited as a research developer.

While working at Randall Brothers Microlimited, I came across your research works on the structure of proteins and their folding mechanism. It ignited curiosity in me and, I felt like learning more about it. That’s when I came across the 6-monthly diploma course on Structure of Proteins in your current college of working. I grabbed the opportunity and applied for the same. Thankfully I got selected to be one of your pupils and I am looking forward to the class starting on Monday.

    Thank You
